THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!

I purchased this car from a seller here on eBay in September 2013, just a few short months ago.    We had just returned from the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, MI and I decided that it was time for a new weekend cruiser/ hobby car and I've always loved the body lines of the 1967 Cadillac Eldorado so I got this one.    When I received the car it needed quite a few small repairs to get it on the road - new brake switch, fuse box work, turn signals, new bulbs, Unfortunately, my time is more limited that I thought it would be and I don't even get to take her out of the garage much, so I've decided to let her go.

All in all, this is a very nice car!    She is an head-turner every where we go and she is always ready for a nice easy cruise.   The car runs and drives, handles pretty well, but as it is a 47 year old car, I'm sure that a lot can be improved on with a little time and effort - things like the drum brakes, suspension, etc.    Before I get into the list of what's wrong, note that I've only owned her for less than 5 months (most of which were winter) and I've actually only driven her a handful of times for a grand total of less that 40 miles.    Most of our trips have been up and down the street, cruising the neighborhood with the kids, or driving to a gathering of classic cars.

Accessories and Options:   Cruise Control (untested), remote drivers mirror (has crack), Power locks (work), power windows (work), Tilt steering wheel, map light on dash (works), 5 person lap seatbelts (all work).

Engine:   Runs fine.  Starts up every time and runs strong.   I do occasionally find an oil spot on the ground, but I think that's just surface grime dripping off of the hot engine.

Transmission:   Strong, easy shifts, great.

Body:   Very straight.   I believe she was repainted at some point the original color - Baroque Gold.   I believe the top is relatively new as well.

Mouldings:   All of the original mouldings and trim pieces are there.   Again, I was told by the previous owner that they are all original.

Wheels and Tires:  original hubcaps and tires are in good condition with plenty of tread.

Interior:   The interior looks all original and is very good for 47 years old.   The seats are tear free and the carpet, while stained a little, only has one tear near the drivers pedals.   The dash is cracked (as seen in the pictures).  Some surface rust on some of the metal parts. The dash could use some work - noted in electrical.

Electrical:   Headlights, taillights, brake lights, corner markers, interior map light and courtesy lights on lower dash all work perfectly.   Turn signals work but the lever doesn't "click", so you have to hold it in the direction that you are turning to get it to flash (I purchased the kit to fix this, but just can't find the time - it will be included).    A few interior lights don't work - not sure if it is switches or bulbs.   Dash doesn't light.   Speedometer cable clicks - needs to be replaced.   I have a replacement Speedometer face/Odometer cluster that I purchased to replace the original with, but just haven't had the time - it will be included in the sale.    Steering wheel and horn work, one pad screw is broken.

Vacuum:   The headlight doors open when you turn on the lights, but when you turn them off, they don't close automatically.  I believe this is a vacuum leak, not sure.

Documentation:   Car still has the California title from previous owner.  Not yet registered in Texas.    The car comes with the original manuals and case in the glove compartment.

Air Conditioning:   Factory air is present and works, but doesn't blow cold.

Beyond that, please look at the pictures.   This car is a beauty and I only wish I had the ability to keep her and fix the little things needed to make her perfect.   If you have any other specific questions, please contact me and I will answer them, provide more pics, whatever you require.    Shipping is by the buyer.    The down payment is due within 24 hours of auction end.   If you can't buy the car, PLEASE don't bid on her!

THIS USED CAR CARRIES NO WARRANTY and is sold AS IS WHERE IS!

Thanks for looking and good luck!

Mystery shoppers love Infiniti, hate Tesla

Tue, Jul 12 2016

Infiniti, followed by Lexus tied with Mercedes-Benz took the top two spots for best sales experience according to mystery shoppers from the latest Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index, while EV manufacturer Tesla recorded the lowest overall score. Not surprisingly, premium brands dominated the top ranks. Including the three already mentioned, luxury brands occupied seven of the top ten spots and included Audi, BMW, Porsche, and the only American brand to crack the upper echelon, Cadillac. Toyota, Volkswagen, and Nissan rounded out the first ten positions. The news for domestic automakers isn't good. Aside from Caddy, the only other star-spangled automaker to score above the industry average is Chrysler. The rest of FCA, most of GM, and all of Ford fell below the line. But Pied Piper's mystery shoppers handed Tesla the biggest walloping – the company is ten full points below the next lowest brand, Volvo, and its score of 86 is 17 below the average of 103. It's baffling, considering the company's touted direct-sales model. "Tesla leaves me scratching my head," Fred O'Hagan, Pied Piper's president and CEO, told Wards Auto. "They own all of their stores, so you would think each one would be doing the same thing. But they're not. Tesla is consistent in its inconsistencies." O'Hagan added that there's a "huge variation" in Tesla's store-to-store effectiveness, and that in some cases, shoppers found showroom workers that acted more like "museum curators," Wards Auto reports. It might be popular to call Tesla the Apple of the car world, but based on Pied Piper's work, the brand has a long way to go to emulate the uniform shopping experience of an Apple Store. The news might be bad for Tesla, but even for the brands that scored below average, there's cause for celebration. Only Tesla and Mini lost points in this year's rankings, and only Mercedes and Lincoln held steady. Every other brand, including Infiniti, which topped the index for the first time, gained at least one point. The biggest improvements belong to Porsche, Land Rover, and Mitsubishi, which all jumped five points. Pied Piper's annual Prospect Satisfaction Index uses mystery shoppers – over 6,100 this year – from across the country to assess dealers and generate rankings from over 50 individual factors.
