Cadillac launches ATS-V, CTS-V Crystal White Frost editions
Sun, Oct 18 2015With power and performance enough to challenge the best that Europe and Japan have to offer, buyers in the luxury performance market shouldn't need much more reason to consider a new Cadillac ATS-V or CTS-V. But to make its fastest models that much more enticing, Cadillac is rolling out the new Crystal White Frost editions you see here. Available on the ATS-V coupe, ATS-V sedan, or CTS-V sedan (pictured), the new Crystal White Frost Edition models feature unique matte-finish white paint. They also get special wheels and the Carbon Fiber and Luxury packages as standard. Other equipment like Recaro buckets and microfiber-trimmed control surfaces are also available, among other options. GM's luxury division will only make 99 examples available across the three models – 39 ATS-V coupes, 31 ATS-V sedans, and 29 CTS-V sedans. So if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act faster than these forced-induction performance machines will muscle their way around the track. Prices start at $71,460 for the smaller sedan and extend up to $94,900 for the larger one – those prices including destination but not taxes, registration, and other fees. Cadillac caught testing the upcoming XT3 SUV again
Mon, Feb 20 2017Days ago, the Cadillac XT3 was caught covered in more black plastic bags than an average Home Depot can hold. Now, more photos have surfaced of the compact crossover doing cold weather testing, still wearing binliner camo. There are still details that can be detected from underneath all the make-up, as the car wears a familiar Cadillac grille and edgy LED headlights. The rear shots do show tail lights fashioned into the camouflage, but those might be there just to throw everybody off: the C-pillars have lights way up from the usual spots, and that might be the location for the actual tail lights, giving the car characteristically narrow Cadillac style lighting in the rear. To match the German competition in this segment, it is likely that the XT3 will be powered by four-cylinder turbocharged engines, and the intercooler under the front bumper can be a confirmation of this. Cadillac ATS-V shares track time and new face with CTS-V sibling
Tue, 24 Jun 2014It's been about eight months since we last heard anything on the eagerly anticipated Cadillac ATS-V, meaning it was high time a new batch of photos arrived of the twin-turbocharged, V6-powered sedan.
This latest round includes a shot of the hot ATS-V alongside the upcoming CTS-V, allowing us to glimpse through the camouflage and spot the family resemblance between the two über sedans. According to our spies, this is the first time we've gotten a look at the ATS-V's fascia without a nose bra to obscure larger details. This isn't the first time we've seen a vertically slated grille on an in-development Cadillac V car, although it is the first time we've seen it on the ATS-V. Aside from the main grille, the shapes of the sportier front fascia of the ATS-V tie in nicely with its big brother. We are rather curious about the hood on the ATS-V. It's difficult to tell from these images, but it looks like there may be some vents up there that may be meant to improve cooling to the alleged 425-horsepower engine.
Other details that we can see include swollen fenders and larger wheels that hide amplified brakes. The rear of the car remains heavily obscured by camo, with the sole details of note being the quad exhausts, which we've spotted on previous ATS-V prototypes.
