This is a one owner 1974 Cadillac Coupe DeVille in probably the most
desirable color combination. This was someone's pride and joy. Never
driven in the winter and always garaged. The condition is excellent.
The paint appear to be all original and is still in excellent shape, with just a few
very minor blemishes, (mainly on the hood) though it still shines very nice. The chrome is
like new, and the vinyl top is in great shape, with no rust or tears.
The bumper extensions have been replaced, so no worries there. All
the weather striping is excellent too. It was rust proofed when new, but not driven in the winter. There is no rust on the body or
undercarriage. The beautiful black leather and interior is excellent
with basically no wear, and smells like new too. Mechanically it's also in excellent condition. Over
$4000 has recently been spent in reconditioning, with a nice clean
gas tank and sending unit, rebuilt carburetor, fuel pump, reconditioned
transmission, brakes, tires, and more. Everything works except the
A/C doesn't blow cold, but the compressor seems fine. I thought I would
leave it up to next owner to decide to convert it or keep it
original. The car runs and drives great and it's a lot of fun to drive,
and gets many looks. It's really the "king of the road". It comes with owners manual and original bill if sale. Any

Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively. Cadillac sales chief Peffer resigns amidst slow sales
Fri, 20 Jun 2014Cadillac continues to hemorrhage executives, as it's just seen its fourth high-level departure in the past year. Vice President of Global Strategic Development Don Butler (who defected to Ford) and European President and Managing Director Susan Docherty both left the company of their own volition, while Chase Hawkins, Cadillac's vice president of sales and service, was fired following a "violation of policy" in July of 2013. Strangely, it's Hawkins' replacement, Bill Peffer (shown above), who has handed in his papers this time around.
"Bill left to pursue other interests. Kurt McNeil replaces him, effective immediately," spokesman David Caldwell told Autoblog via email.
McNeil last held the VP of sales and service position back in 2012. He's currently the vice president of US sales for all of General Motors. According to The Detroit News, McNeil will take on the post in what is likely an interim capacity.
Cadillac back on track with 600-hp ATS-V.R racer in FIA GT3 spec [w/video]
Fri, 14 Nov 2014There was already a rumor brewing that Cadillac might eschew the CTS as its racecar next season in favor of the ATS Coupe. It turns out that is absolutely the case, and now we know just what this 600-horsepower, future racer looks like. The coupe might not be limited to competing in just the US, though, because it's built to FIA GT3-specifications, meaning that this Caddy is also eligible to race in over 30 series worldwide against the likes of Bentley, McLaren, Audi and other premium brands.
The heart of this massively winged Cadillac is an engine dubbed the LF4.R. It's based around the unit in the production ATS-V and CTS Vsport but with larger turbos, bigger intercoolers, side exhausts and other tricks. Cadillac claims it makes a monstrous 600 hp and 520 pound-feet of torque in unrestricted form.
As the photo above shows, the ATS-V.R also wears an aggressive aero kit with a carbon fiber front splitter, and a wing at the back that could probably double as a picnic table in a pinch. The dry weight of the whole package is quoted at about 2,900 pounds, which is around 700 pounds less than the street version.
