GIVEAWAY PRICED!...I'm losing a ton of money on it in order to get it out of my way quickly...1957 Cadillac Coupe Deville with what is believed to be 79k actual miles...Runs and drives great...Numbers matching engine block...Florida and California car...Trim plate 6237DX decodes as a real Coupe Deville...Power seat and windows...Power seat moves forward and back and tilts with front only...New exhaust...Left exhaust donut or manifold gasket leaking-easy fix...Solid floors and trunk...Interior is original condition and could easily be freshened up...Chrome is nice...Paint is good driver quality-has some very small bubbles on back of trunk and left quarter....Floors and underside look very solid with just surface rust-no rot through...To take the car to another level I would paint the door jams, detail engine bay and repaint some minor engine components and re-dye interior leather...If you don't understand what a 57 year old "driver" looks like then come look before you buy...The pictures here were taken about a month ago right before it went into storage...Clean and clear title in hand with no liens...I get compliments everytime I drive it...Just dropped the tank and had it relined...If your a SERIOUS buyer you can contact me at 816-604-8094...I bought this car to keep-it was to replace my 64 convertible but I have since changed my mind and bought a new truck and Harley instead...I have 100% positive feedback and intend to keep it that way-I will work to make this a simple and pleasant transaction...Car is put away inside storage just SE of Kansas City, MO...I'm taking a BIG loss on this one-just want it out of my way and the cash back in the bank...May end listing anytime as it's for sale locally...Thanks...NO TRADES

Combative de Nysschen defends Cadillac move, naming change

Johan de Nysschen isn't afraid of taking quick, decisive actions, even if they are criticized. Since taking the wheel at Cadillac, he instigated moving the luxury division's base of operations to Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood and introduced a new naming scheme for the future of the brand, like he did at Infiniti. The polarizing boss recently explained his feelings about the future of Cadillac in more depth on his Facebook page, but unfortunately only his friends could read it. Thankfully, Daily Kanban posted much of the strongly worded missive for the whole world to see.
Much of the message examines the decision to move some employees to New York. De Nysschen claims that it's all about giving Cadillac distance from Detroit to reshape itself. It allows for, "No distractions. No side shows. No cross-brand corporate considerations. No homogenized lowest common denominator approach. Just pure, unadulterated, CLASS."
Cadillac snags de Nysschen from Infiniti, names him new president
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Johan de Nysschen, the (now former) president of Infiniti, has officially jumped ship. The 54-year-old, who also spent time as the chief executive for Audi USA, has taken the position of president at Cadillac, following a two-year stint at the Nissan-owned luxury brand. In his new role, the 54-year-old will be responsible "for all aspects of Cadillac globally," according to a statement from General Motors.
"Johan brings to our company vast experience in the development and proper execution of luxury automotive brands," said GM President Dan Ammann, de Nysschen's new boss. "With over 20 years in this exact space, especially in the development of the Audi brand, his track record proves he is the perfect executive to lead Cadillac for the long term."
"I have for some time now been impressed by how the new General Motors has been transformed into a formidable force in the industry," de Nysschen said in a statement. "The combination of strong corporate leadership and exceptional engineering resources presents the perfect combination to restore Cadillac to its place among global premium brands."
Cadillac expects major growth in China
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US sales issues facing Cadillac are not being paralleled in the People's Republic of China, as a new report from Automotive News indicates the US luxury maker should see its sales increase by as much as 40 percent.
The report cites Cadillac's own forecasts, which put its 2014 sales in the PRC at 70,000 units after cresting 45,000 vehicles at the end of August. Provided the sales pace holds true through 2015, the brand would hit its new 100,000-unit sales goal, AN reports.
"We're very optimistic about the luxury market, we believe that the luxury market by 2016 here will become the largest luxury market in the world, surpassing even the size of luxury in Europe," GM China President Matthew Tsien told AN. "With [Cadillac president] Johan [de Nysschen], we have somebody that really is an executive that understands luxury, but he also is very, very keen on understanding what do we need here in China for Cadillac to be successful."
