HE IS A 1957 CADILLAC 2 DOOR HARDTOP. VERY ORIGINAL CAR FOR ITS AGE. ENGINE RUNS FINE, I AM PRETTY SURE THE FUEL PUMP IS GOING TO NEED REPLACING, IT RUNS BRIEFLY THEN DIES OUT , PRIME IT AND STARTS RIGHT UP. IT HAS A CLEAN MINN. TITLE, THE TITLE IS STAMPED PRIOR SALVAGE , IT HAD A SMALL FIRE AT THE WIPER MOTOR AREA, YOU CAR SEE THE BURN MARK , ITS ABOUT THE SIXE OF A BASKET BALL. I KNOW OF 2 OTHER CADDYS THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE !!! DONT THINK THEY WILL HAVE A RE-CALL !!!!! HA HA !!, ANYWAY OVER ALL THE CAR IS PRETTY SOLID, ONE SMALL PATCH IN THE TRUNK AND THE FLOOR HAS BEEN PATCHED IS A FEW DIFFERENT SPOTS BUT ITS HARD TO TELL INLESS YOU LOOK REAL CLOSE. TO MAKE THE CAR SO IT WOULD BE A GOOD DAILY DRIVER IT WILL NEED SOME WIRING REPAIRS AND LIKE I SAID PROBABLY A FUEL PUMP. AGAIN, TURN THE KEY , IT STARTS BUT DIES OUT. RESERVE IS VEY REASONABLE , THESE CARS ARE VERY RARE AND WORTH SPENDING SOME TIME ON. ASK ANY QUESTIONS, I WILL ANSWER THE BEST I CAN, I WANT TO KEEP MY GREAT FEED BACK !! THANKS !!!!

GM design boss Welburn says Lincoln isn't a Cadillac rival [w/poll]
Thu, 05 Dec 2013General Motors Vice President of Global Design, Ed Welburn, had some dismissive words for a certain cross-town luxury brand during an interview with Car and Driver. When asked about his thoughts on Lincoln, Welburn deflected, before saying, "I don't consider Lincoln to be a competitor for Cadillac."
"They're not a global luxury brand. I don't consider them a competitor. Are they a competitor for Buick? Quite possibly. But not for Cadillac," GM's head designer explained. Welburn, who's been at the helm of GM Design North America since 2003 and is the first to hold the position of VP of Global Design, has been instrumental in the styling renaissance at GM, so predictably, Car and Driver's interview with him focused on the design aspect of cars.
During the interview, Welburn explicitly denied plans for a reborn Cadillac XLR, even as a new Chevrolet Corvette is hitting the market and strides are being made with Cadillac's V-Series performance arm saying, "We have a lot of cars that we're working on for the Cadillac brand. The XLR is not one of them right now."
Cadillac SRX production moving to TN, next-gen Equinox going to Mexico
Fri, 29 Aug 2014It's a good week for the town of Spring Hill, TN, as General Motors has announced that its factory in the city of 31,000 will receive a $185 million contract to produce engines. On top of that, the next-generation Cadillac SRX crossover will be built at the factory (NA models are presently built in Ramos, Arizpe Mexico), which was once famous for being the home of GM's now-defunct Saturn brand.
The factory is one of GM's six facilities around the globe that will screw together the company's new line of three- and four-cylinder Ecotec engines. Spring Hill currently builds the 2.0-liter, turbocharged Ecotec, as well as the naturally aspirated 2.4 and 2.5-liter variants.
Spring Hill's vehicle assembly lines were idled in 2009, but were reactivated in 2011. The SRX is just one of the products meant to benefit from last year's $350-million investment, and should have a positive impact, creating or retaining around 1,800 positions at the factory.
Cadillac teases production ELR ahead of Detroit Auto Show
Tue, 18 Dec 2012General Motors has just confirmed that the 2014 Cadillac ELR will make its official debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. We've already seen the ELR testing earlier this year using the same range-extended electric drive system as the Chevrolet Volt, and based on the shadowy image above, we're happy to see that the coupe's styling has stayed pretty true to 2009 Converj Concept.
The two-door ELR will be built alongside the Volt at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck plant starting later next year. Aside from this info, Cadillac has remained tight-lipped on the specific details of the car. But all that will all change on January 15.
Until then, all we have to offer you is the press release posted after the jump.
