2006 Cadillac DTS Sedan

Up for sale today is our 2006 Cadillac Sedan.  We have owned this car since 2007 and have put the vast majority of the mileage on it by traveling back and forth to airports.  It has been a workhorse in our fleet, but with 172,000 miles, it is scheduled for replacement.

Exterior

The exterior is in good condition for its age with no major dents or blemishes.  There are some scratches on the hood and trunk where one of our drivers (None of them admit to it) decided to scrape the ice off.  We have not yet attempted, but I think they may buff out.  The right front had been repaired prior to our purchase and the rear bumper replace when a gentleman didn't notice the red light and hit it.  Neither appear to have had any bearing on the driveability although sometimes the front passenger door needs to be closed firmer than normal.  The paint still shines and there is no rust.

Interior

The interior is in good condition with the only blemish being in the rear seat near the center seat belt.  The belt is also missing a buckle.  All of the accessories work as they should.  The air is ice cold and the heat hot.

Mechanically

This car was recently PA Inspected and is good until May of 2014.  It is a pleasure to drive and performs exceptionally well.  The engine purrs and the transmission shifts perfectly.  The only flaw is, on occasion, if you stomp the accelerator it will blow a cloud of smoke.  I was told the injectors appear to be loading fuel, but i'm not a mechanic.  We have just asked the drivers not to stomp it.  Hence, no problem.  All of the lights, etcetera work as they were designed.  Tires are good.  As I said, it just passed a PA Inspection.

Warranty

This vehicle is sold "As Is" and comes with no warranty, expressed or implied.  Although I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, it is a used vehicle and must be rememberred as such.  The vehicle is still in service an will continue to be so until it is sold and a deposit received.  As such, the mileage may differ slightly from that shown.

Payment & Shipping

A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due with 24 hours of auction end.  The deposit may be padi by PayPay or certified funds.  The balance is due with 7 days and may be paid by cash, money order or verified certified funds.  If the buyer would like to pay the balance by PayPal or Credit Card, a 5% surcharge will be added to the balance to cover costs.

Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer.  The vehicle may be stored at it's current location for up to 45 days at no cost as to allow the buyer to make proper shipping arrangements.  Beyond 45 days, storage will be charged at $2.00 per day.

Bidders with zero or neative feedback MUST contact us prior to bidding or your bid will be canceled.  We have been strung out too often by novices and are only trying to protect us and other potential buyers.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding

Best and Worst GM Cars

Thu, Apr 7 2022

Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded.  While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.

Cadillac Escalade driven by Tony Soprano for sale

Fri, Nov 6 2015

If you're a fan of The Sopranos imagining a trip to the Bada Bing, then check out this white 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV for sale by RR Auction. James Gandolfini drove this luxury SUV in the role of Tony Soprano for the last three seasons of the mafia-themed series. Gandolfini also signed the interior to give you something to show off to your buddies. If you've ever watched the show, you've almost certainly seen this white SUV before. According to the auction listing, the series featured two Escalades, and this one was used for exterior shots. The Caddy even starred in an action scene in season 5 when Tony chased after Phil Leotardo. Gandolfini's signature appears inside twice: once with "Thanks for the truck, James Gandolfini" and again with just his name. The auction also includes a letter of authenticity that's signed by the actor, and a second document asserts the SUV's use in the series. Apparently, Gandolfini had a habit of signing messages in his vehicles from the show – at one point he wrote a threatening "Be nice to my car" message in a red Chevrolet Suburban from earlier episodes. The auction for Tony's Escalade runs from November 12-19, which still leaves plenty of time for a meeting of the families to decide to buy it. Bidding starts at $5,000, and according to The Drive, the consignor estimates a final price between $30,000 and $50,000. This sale should at least come to a more definitive end than The Sopranos did.
