If you are in the market for an absolutely beautiful Cadillac Deville and would love to have
the top of the line DTS model then you are going to LOVE my 2005 DTS that has been garaged and only has 55k original
miles! This DTS is like new inside and out and is a non-smoker's car as well. It is as close to new as possible and
drives perfect with no issues. This is one of our Florida "Snowbird" cars, it was registered in NY but has spent most
if not all it's time here in Florida in one of our prestigious communities out of the snow and salt and is shows.
There is no rust and even the underside is still nice and clean, you won't see that on any northern vehicle. I get
low mile Cadillac's right from our local Cadillac dealership from people who leave a car here garaged in their
Florida home, and only use them a few months out of the year. Many of them still look and drive like new like this
one. Autocheck shows this one is accident free with no issues and it received a great score of 82 points out of an
average rating of between 58-77 points so you know it has a great history. It estimates it to be a two owner car but
I believe it is a 1-owner car, I think the snowbird just re-registered it here in 2011. Look close at the pictures,
this is a beautiful DTS. The exterior shines like new and the Cadillac paint is all original with no dents, scrapes,
fade or rust. It is a pearl white color, the pearl in the paint has a really pretty look to it. The original painted
on pinstripe is like new as are the factory seventeen inch chrome wheels with matching Michelin tires with plenty of
tread remaining to help this Deville ride and handle Cadillac smooth. The canvas top is in great shape, the
headlights are clear as new and there is also a gold package for a classy look. There are also rear parking sensors.
This is the last year of this desireable body style and this is the top of the line model, very desireable. The
interior too is in beautiful shape with no stains, rips or odors and again this is a non-smoker's car. The perforated
leather seats are air conditioned and heated and are very comfortable. The DTS model has lot's of extra wood trim
throughout for a classy look including a wood shifter and wood on the steering wheel which is power tilt and
telescopic by the way. All the power options work great including the ice cold air conditioning, power sunroof and
Bose stereo with CD that sounds wonderful. The trunk is spotless as well and there are NO service lights on. Look
close at the pictures, this is a gorgeous car. What a pleasure to drive, so smooth and quiet. The powerful Northstar
V-8 runs smooth as silk and should with only 55k miles and it will deliver 26mpg on the highway. The brakes are
smooth as is transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles, just as you would expect from a car like this. It
truly is a pleasure to drive and you feel like you in a much newer car and at one forth the price of a new one it's a
steal. I have the factory books and two keys with remotes. Look it over good and I'm sure once you see and take it
for a spin around the block you are sure to fall in love and with only 55k accident free Florida miles and being the
last year of this body style you are sure to be in love for a long, long time! I have great feedback
so you can be sure that this vehicle will be just as nice as I am stating. Should you need help with shipping call
me, if you decide to fly into Ft.Myers to pick it up in person I will meet you at our local airport right here in
town. I know buying a vehicle you haven't driven is a little scary so I try to make it easy as well as fun!! As
with all my vehicles, this one was put through a safety check to be sure it is safe and road worthy. This includes an
oil change and an inspection of the brakes, belts, hoses, tires, fluid levels, etc. It's just one more thing I can do
to make this a good experience for you. I encourge you to call with any questions @ 239-872-5281. Thanks!

Americans are used to paying for subscriptions — to magazines and cable television, for instance — but experience shows they'll cancel when the price of admission gets too high, or there are more tempting alternatives. Cord cutters ditched nearly 1.5 million pay-TV subscriptions in 2017, according to a survey by Leichtman Research Group. Cable TV started out cheap with basic offerings, and then got expensive. The auto industry's subscription offerings are new, but they're starting out costly, and not price-competitive with traditional leasing. The upside is that they take the hassle out of car ownership for busy people by letting the service take care of maintenance, insurance, licensing and taxes. And they give consumers choice, often allowing relatively painless switches between different cars in the automakers' lineup. Subscription services also point the way toward an ownership-free auto experience, and offer an easy transition to a potential world where ride- and car-sharing will be dominant. Subscriptions are here to stay, but consumers may take a while to "get" them. Lincoln's subscription service for lightly used 2015 to 2017 models, offered through the Ford-owned Canvas beginning this year, got off to a slow start. Many early subscribers canceled. Last month, Cadillac announced it would " temporarily pause" its $1,800-per-month Book subscription service for "adjustments" as of December 1. According to the Wall Street Journal, "Snags with the back-end technology used to support the service made some customer-service functions tedious and time-consuming, adding costs for the company." The challenge for automakers is to come up with a strategy that offers consumers a compelling, affordable option to regular ownership, and one that can also make a profit. I think they'll find that sweet spot, but they're not there yet. Jack Nerad, former executive editorial director at Kelley Blue Book and author of " The Complete Idiot's Guide to Buying or Leasing a Car," points out that "A lot of people expected that subscriptions would be very valuable for people who wanted inexpensive transportation, but the reality is quite the opposite. Subscriptions are offering more choices for the wealthy.

While we still have no insight as to it being named Elmiraj, STS or some other permutation of the -TS nomenclature ("LTS" has apparently been registered by GM, as well), new spy shots give us proof positive that Cadillac is indeed hard at work on a rear-wheel-drive flagship model. Spied for the very first time in some north country testing, these shots provide a first look at the upcoming range-topper from Cadillac.
Impressively long and large bodywork ride atop new General Motors' corporate Omega rear-drive architecture here. Heavy cladding over camouflage may discourage finding any details, but the overall, sharp-edged and blocky design is clearly reminiscent of what we've seen on the new CTS and the recently debuted ATS coupe. A strong, wheels-at-each-corner stance helps emphasize the length of this stretched Caddy, and everything about the proportions seem spot-on for a new fullsize flagship for the brand.
It's quite possible that Cadillac will ultimately festoon this large sedan with detailing reminiscent of the original Elmiraj coupe, though thus far we've only seen prototypes wearing four-doors.

While I love driving, I can't wait for fully autonomous vehicles. I have no doubt they'll reduce car accidents, 94 percent of which are caused by human error, leading to more than 37,000 road deaths in the U.S. last year. And if it means I can fly home at night in winter and get safely shuttled to my house an hour-plus away — and not have to endure a typical white-knuckle drive in the dark with torrential rain and blinding spray from 18-wheelers on Interstate 84 — sign me up. Autonomous technology will also take some of the stress, tedium and fatigue out of long highway drives, as I recently discovered while testing Cadillac Super Cruise. AVs are also supposed to eventually help increase traffic flow and reduce gridlock. But according to a recent Automotive News article, as the first wave of AVs are being tested on public roads, they're having the opposite effect. Part of the problem is they drive too cautiously and are programmed to strictly follow the written rules of the road rather than going with the flow of traffic. "Humans violate the rules in a safe and principled way, and the reality is that autonomous vehicles in the future may have to do the same thing if they don't want to be the source of bottlenecks," Karl Iagnemma, CEO of self-driving technology developer NuTonomy, told Automotive News. "You put a car on the road which may be driving by the letter of the law, but compared to the surrounding road users, it's acting very conservatively." I get it that, like teen drivers, AVs need a ramp up period to learn the unwritten rules of the road and that a skeptical public has to be convinced of the technology's safety. But this is where I become less of a champion on AVs, since where I live in the Pacific Northwest we already have more than our share of overly cautious human drivers. Since moving here 12 years ago, I've found it's an interesting paradox that a region famous for its strong coffee, where you'd think most drivers would be jacked up on caffeine, is also the home to annoyingly measured motorists. As an auto-journo colleague living in Seattle so aptly put it: "People in the Pacific Northwest drive as if they have nowhere to go." If you drive like me and always have somewhere to go — and usually are in a hurry to get there — it's absolutely maddening.
