Up for auction is this beautiful 2011 Cadillac CTS-V. I have been driving it for over a year now and I have had no issues with it. I'm selling it because I have too many toys and a baby on the way. I can't tell you where it was damaged because I don't know. I bought the car already rebuilt. If I had to guess it was hit on the on the passenger's side. But after driving the car for over a year I can tell you that it drives true and straight and everything works. Take a look at the pictures. The wheels are in good condition and the paint is excellent. There are a few paint chips here and there but that is to be expected with any used car. The only modification to the car that I have made since ownership is a new exhaust installed from the cats back. It's running 3 in. Aluminized steel piping with flow master mufflers. The tips are as close to stock as I could find because I didn't want to change the look of the rear end. Believe me if you could hear this thing, it sounds bad a**. It's quiet at idle and low speeds until you open her up so you don't lose the civility of the Cadillac unless you want to.

You can bid with confidence, just look at my rating. I wouldn't sell something I wasn't sure would live up to my reputation. I remind all bidders to only bid if you intend to pay. I am open to all questions expect for two. Don't bother asking me what my reserve is just bid. Don't ask me if you can make payments the answer is no. I don't know a bank that won't give you a loan on this car. I can tell you from experience I had no trouble getting a loan. It is paid off now so I have the title in hand. Payment will be $500 within the first 48 hours and then the rest through bank check, cashiers check or personal check. Keep in mind that personal checks may take a few days to clear. The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. GM to idle car production at five factories as Americans continue CUV love affair

In case you needed another reminder that Americans have fallen out of love with sedans, General Motors today announced plans to idle five factories in January in a bid to cut its inventory to 70 days. Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly ( Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Chevrolet Volt and Impala) and Fairfax Assembly in Kansas ( Chevy Malibu) will stop production for three weeks. Lansing Grand River ( Cadillac ATS and CTS, and Chevy Camaro) is going down for two weeks, while Lordstown, OH ( Chevy Cruze) and Bowling Green, KY ( Chevy Corvette) will go idle for a week each, Automotive News reports. GM's shutdown reflects a broader problem with the company's supply – at 847,000 vehicles, the company's supply increased unsteadily from a low of 629,000 units in January of 2016. That's more than a 25 percent increase in the past year. Citing information from Autodata, The Detroit News reports that at the end of November, GM had a 168-day supply of LaCrosses, 177 days' worth of Camaro, 170 days of Corvette, 121 days for Cruze, 119 days for ATS, 132 days for CTS, and 110 days of CT6. Meanwhile, inventory of the company's more popular vehicles is actually below the professionally accepted 60- to 70-day supply, The News reports. The Trax, Colorado pickup, and GM's full-size SUVs are sitting below 50 days and experiencing year-over-year sales increases. GM needs a rethink of its inventory levels, which is something that's apparently coming. "We're going to be responsible in managing our inventory levels," GM spokesman Jim Cain told The News. Another unnamed spokesman told Automotive News the company's day-to-day supplies would "fluctuate before moderating at year-end." But at least one analyst thinks this won't be the last time Detroit needs to stop production to level things out. "Incentives are elevated, residuals are declining, and rates are rising," Brian Johnson, an analyst with Barclays, told The News. "And while GM in particular may benefit in the months ahead from new product launches, it's important to recognize that GM's inventory is elevated at the moment, and it wouldn't surprise us if they need to announce another production cut Â– which could pressure the stock." Cadillac abandons plans for six-digit flagship sedan

So much for that party. Cadillac has announced that it is walking away from plans to build a high-dollar, rear-wheel-drive ultraluxury sedan. The low-volume model would have been based on the lusty Ciel Concept, and the production iteration would have carried a price tag well over $100,000. Executives with the automaker reportedly claim the model wouldn't have bolstered the brand enough to be worth the investment.
Even so, Automotive News reports Cadillac is still on track to build a range-topping four-door to go head-to-head with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. That model will likely be constructed on the company's upcoming Omega rear-wheel-drive platform, but we won't see it bow until at least 2016. Right now, the front-wheel-drive XTS sits at the top of the Cadillac lineup, and while that machine and it's twin-turbocharged V6 variant makes a compelling argument against certain luxury entries, it falls short serving as a legitimate competitor for the likes of the 7 Series and S-Class for enthusiast drivers.
