IF YOU ARE A SERIOUS BUYER, FEEL FREE TO E-MAIL ME AN OFFER. NO LOW BALL OFFERS (THEY WILL BE IGNORED)

Here we have for sale another Cadillac Cts-V. This one is a 2011 Sedan with just over 17,300 miles on it. This car came to us as a dealer trade and the car itself came from Texas, That Texas dealer bought it at an insurance auction.

Here is what i know about this car. Its very clean and everything works except for the front power seats. I know all the wire connectors are unplugged right at the seat, because the seat motors were making a ticking noise and were killing the battery because that noise wouldn't stop. so the seat motors were unplugged and no the battery stays charged just fine. otherwise everything else works just as it should. no funny smells, no funny stains in the interior. I honestly don't know what happened to this car, but clearly it was very low water. it might have been something as simple as someone leaving the moonroof open and it rained inside the car, or maybe it was in a low water flood some place. usually when a car is in deep water, you will see moisture in the headlights/tail lights and there is not a hint of moisture in there at all. the seat cushions feel nice and dry and there is no hint that the water any place that shows water got higher then the seat motors under the seat. this car has been driven about 500 miles since it was salvaged and no other issues have been found.

if I was you, I would look for some basic CTS seats (not cts-v) seats because the cts-v seats are very spendy. there is a pair of cts seats on ebay for $400. the only difference is the seat covers (on non-recaro seats). the (non-recaro) cts-v's have a suede leather insert in the center and the basic cts seats don't. if you bought cts seats and just swapped the covers then you would have perfect cts-v seats with out any issues and maybe you can resell the other seats to a hot rodder or something like that. otherwise, if you priced out the seat motors themselves, im sure you would be over the $400 area anyways. this way, if you bought the whole seat and found out that the seat tracks were rusted or a wire was broken, then it wouldn't matter because you have everything in the new seat. You can also buy recaro seats (about $1,500-$2,000 for a full set) and install them. they will bolt in the same holes and use the same wire harness.

We let these cars sell them self. If for any reason you feel its to much of a risk to bid on this car with out seeing it in person first, then you are more then welcome to contact any shop near me (at your cost) and i will be more then happy to take this car to any shop of your choice for a 3rd party inspection. I do what i can to provide you with all the information i have so it will help you make the best decision you can make. I do my best to be as honest and upfront as i can be. There is nothing wrong with buying a salvage title car, however you will always get the car for less money then a clean title car. Usually you can buy that car for about 70-75% of clean title value, however that number can go up or down depending on supply and demand. Clearly a car like this might be a bit more on the high side, and yet a dodge neon with a salvage title might be a bit more on the low side. Either way, the biggest thing you should know about any salvage title car is the history and how bad the accident was.

QUESTIONS, its best to e-mail your questions to me via ebay messages. Otherwise your more then welcome to come check out this car in person and ask your questions. If you live to far away to come check it out, feel free to contact any dealership, repair, or body shop in Faribault Minnesota 55021 and i will take the car there for an inspection at your expense so you can get someone elses opinion on this vehicle. There is nothing i am hiding and i challenge you to find something on this car that i haven't already told you about. All of our cars are located in FARIBAULT, MINNESOTA 55021.

Current Title, The current title is a Minnesota salvage title. Please check with your state before bidding. Once you get this car inspected, it should come back as a prior salvage title/rebuilt in your home state. I can get it inspected here in Minnesota, but that might not do you any good if you live out of state. If I do get it inspected here, and send the title into Minnesota, then its going to take about 3 months for the state of Minnesota to send me the prior salvage title back. I know for a fact that this car will pass a Minnesota state inspection with flying colors or your money back. Other state's might require something different, so please check before you bid. All sales are final. We will provide you with a bill of sale, title, repair receipts, ect. You shouldn't need anything more then what I listed above, but if there is, let us know and we will do our best to get you anything you need to get this vehicle inspected in your home state.

Att: Minnesota buyers, You will be charged sales tax at a rate of 6.5%, plus plates, tabs, and title transfer fees. You will also need to get this vehicle inspected with in the next year and we will provide you will all the receipts and Minnesota Affidavit of Reconstruction paperwork that you will need to get it inspected. You will be provided with a 21 day permit to drive this vehicle right away, and then we will get the plates for you and they will be mailed to you or you can pick this up if you are local. You have one year to get this vehicle inspected before Minnesota will issue you new license tabs. The inspection process is easy and only takes about 20mins. We will provide you with the dates and times of your nearest inspection center. After is has been inspected, you will get a new title back from the State of Minnesota that will give it a Prior Salvage Title Status. According to the State, that means that it is a clear title. According to everyone else, its still a salvage title.

Att: Non-Minnesota buyers, You will NOT be charged any added fees. You will owe the exact amount of your final bid and thats all. You will be given the receipts for the repairs in the event you need them. You will also need to check with your local DMV to check the process of transferring a salvage title in your home state before you bid. You will be given a 21day permit to drive this vehicle home, but after that, you are on your own. You should be able to take the title to your dmv and get it transferred and get plates right away, but some states might have a different process that you need to go though, so please check that out before you bid. After the inspection is done in your home state, you should be issued a prior salvage/rebuilt title.

Shipping, Shipping is at Buyers expense. If you can't come pick this up in person and you want us to ship it for you, we can set that up. Clearly the farther away you are, the more it's going to cost. Average shipping costs are about $150 in Minnesota, $300 in upper midwest, $500 to outer midwest (Texas,Ohio,Montana,Colorado), and coastal areas are about $700-$900. Depending on where you are, it could take anywhere from 2 to 8 business days before you receive this vehicle.

Deposit, After this auction ends, we will need a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit with in 48hrs of the end of this auction. If you come here and decide that you don't want to buy the vehicle for whatever reason, we will refund $250 of that deposit and keep $250. However if you never show up, then we will keep all the $500. Deposit can be Cash in person only, Pay Pal, Certified Bank Check, or a Bank Wire Transfer.

Total Balance Due, Any remaining balance must be paid with in 5 business days of the end of the auction. The balance can ONLY be paid with cash, wire transfer, or Certified Bank Check. If you do pay with a Certified Bank Check (cashiers check), we will hold the title and receipts for 14 days until that check clears and then mail the title and receipts to you. NO PERSONAL CHECKS!

Warranty, Most auto manufacturers don't stand by the factory warranty with a car has a salvage title, however some still do. So its up to you to contact your local dealership to see if the factory warranty is still active. If you do want to check on the warranty status, all you need to do is call your local GM dealer and give them the vin number to this car and ask them if the warranty is still good. ALL auto manufacturers still do stand by recalls. So if this car is in need of a recall, take it back to the dealership and they will fix the recalled item. On the other hand, if you have any prior accident repair issues with this car with in the first 90 days let us know and we will usually take care of the problem at no charge as long as you bring the car back to us. If you live to far away to bring it back, then we will try to work something out with you.

Salvage Title Info, Info below was pulled from Wikipedia about salvage titles. In the United States, a salvage title is a form of vehicle title branding, which notes that the vehicle has been severely damaged and/or deemed a total loss by an insurance company that paid a claim on it. The criteria for determining when a salvage title is issued differ considerably by state. In a minority of states, regulations require a salvage title for stolen vehicles but, in others, it is issued only for losses due to damage. Under some circumstances, a salvage title denotation may be removed or replaced with a Rebuilt Salvage designation and cars imported to, or exported from, the United States may be issued a clean title regardless of history. Because a salvage title can be issued to a vehicle with easy repairable problems or no damage whatsoever, the low cost of the salvaged motorcycle or car is appealing to some hobbyists and investors.

Determination of Salvage Status, In general, a vehicle is deemed "salvage" when the insurer determines that the repair or replacement cost is in excess of approximately 75% of its market value at the time of the accident or theft. Thresholds range between 50% and 95% of the vehicle's value, while "total loss states" leave the specifics to the insurer.

Upon paying the claim, the insurer may offer to return the vehicle to the owner as an insurance buy-back, in which case the owner is responsible for having the repairs made and having the car inspected by a State-designated facility. Depending on the state, this inspection may remove the salvage brand from the vehicle's title. The exact percentage of value that triggers the decision to total the vehicle is guided by applicable laws and regulations. The damage estimate is calculated at retail repair rates, which may be more than the cost of wholesale repair. Vehicles that are not bought back are auctioned as salvage to an auto recycler or a rebuilders and given a salvage title. On some high end cars, a vehicle owner can purchase added insurance, this policy would give the vehicle owner a brand new car of the similar value in the event their car sustains more then $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000 in damage depending on their policy and insurance company.

Are All Salvage Titles Bad? No, They aren't. Thats just like saying all Clean Title cars are good. There are alot of salvage titles cars out there that have little to no damage due to theft recovery, or since insurance companies won't use aftermarket parts and need to use brand new factory parts. If those factory parts are on back order, they aren't going to wait weeks or months until they can get those parts again. So something as simple as damage to a 01-06 GMC Yukon Denali front impact bumper that costs $300 new, that totaled out about 100 trucks last year because of the GM bankruptcy that shut down the manufacturing of those bumpers. Thus no one could get that part so insurance companies just totaled them all out rather then to wait the 6 months to get a new bumper.

Are All Clean Titles Cars Accident Free? No, Most of you have probly been in an accident at one point or another. If your accident was a deer hit, most of the time that is repairable. Your local body shop made the repairs and you were good to go. However no one will ever know and it wasn't marked on your title. It still may have been a great car after that, but just like salvage title cars, they can be great and hassle free for years after the repairs have been made. In another example, if you had a newer car, and you didn't have full coverage insurance and you drove your car into a local lake, ditch, hit a tree, another car, ect. You would have some damage that you might not have taken to a body shop and had the repairs done correctly. Thus passing on future possible issues to a new owner. The truth is, that you don't know what or where a car has been unless you bought it brand new. And as you know, buying brand new will cost you a lot more then buying used. So even if the worst case happens and you buy a salvage title car that you know has been in an accident, you know what you are buying and you are paying less for that. So even if something happens to the motor, transmission, battery, tires, ect. You saved thousands by buying a salvage title over buying a used car with a clear title and that savings will likely cover the cost of the repairs.

The truth is any car either brand new, used, or salvage title can break down at any given time. We take pride in our cars and do our best to make our customers happy with their purchase. Our feedback is important to us and we will do our best to make sure you come back to buy from us again in the future.

BALANCE NEEDS TO BE WIRE TRANSFER OR CASHIERS CHECK. NO PERSONAL CHECKS.

WE WILL NOT SELL TO SOMEONE OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES UNLESS YOU CAN PAY AMERICAN CASH IN PERSON WHEN YOU COME TO PICK UP THE CAR.

Carpool Deville aims to be the world's fastest hot tub

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

The world needs crazy inventors with wild dreams. While we might not long for the things that they create, their contraptions certainly make the day a little more enjoyable. Take the Carpool Deville as an example. Nobody (well, almost nobody) is asking for a hot tub fashioned from a 1969 Cadillac that is still drivable. But now that you know that such a beast exists, don't try to tell us you aren't at least intrigued.
The team behind the six-year-long project has a pretty ingenious setup worked out. The Caddy's original 472-cubic-inch (7.7-liter) V8 both provides propulsion and heats the water. The interior is entirely replaced with a watertight, fiberglass tub that includes working jets, and the controls are all done by hand.
As if just building a mobile hot tub isn't enough, the team behind the Carpool Deville plans to take it racing too. Specifically, they intend to go to the Bonneville Salt Flats later this year to make a top speed run while immersed in water at over 100 degrees. They even have a roll cage all set to install to meet the safety requirements there.

GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.

2015 Cadillac Escalade on sale in April priced at $71,695*

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

With the fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade set to go on sale in April, Cadillac has released the pricing data for its fullsize luxury SUV. While there's no retail configurator yet, the data posted on AOL Autos - and confirmed by Cadillac - shows that the 2015 Escalade will have a starting price of $71,695 (*not including $995 for destination).
This new starting price is about $8,000 more than the outgoing model, but Cadillac is quick to point out that the latest 'Slade is packed with more standard equipment in the new base Standard trim that actually puts it more on par with the midlevel Premium trim on the 2014 model (currently priced at $73,245). These new standard features include Magnetic Ride Control, LED headlights and taillights and 20-inch wheels.
Stepping up to the 2015 Escalade Luxury, the price increases to $75,695 and includes added equipment like 22-inch wheels, head-up display, power fold-and-tumble second-row seats and safety systems such as forward collision warning and lane departure warning. The top-rung 2015 Escalade Premium will start at $80,195 adding features such as a rear-seat entertainment system, illuminated exterior door handles and the Driver Assist Package consisting of front and rear automatic braking and adaptive cruise control.
