Q. What is the class 1 hitch on the car used for, what did you tow? A. It was used to carry a mountain bike rack. No trailer wiring installed, and no trailer has been towed. Q. When was the Hennessey Conversion done? How many miles seince then? A. 9-12-12 was date of Hennessey Upgrades. Exact Miles were not listed, but aprox 10k Q. Have you taken the car to the Drag Strip? if so what were the 1/4 mile times? A. I have not Drag Raced, or tacken the car to a road race track. Hennessey says 3.5 0-60 and 11.4 1/4 on their site. This is with stock wheels and tires. My guess if you add some drag radials, you could drop 1/2 second off that or more. Depends on how good you are. Q. What is the least you will take for the car? I have XXX to spend, and are you wiling to take that much? A. Car is a steal for the buy it now price. My reserve is several thousand less than the buy it now. Since I have had alot of interest I am going to let the auction run. Feel free to offer me any prioce for the car, just if it is much less than the current buy it now, I most likely will not end the auction early. But you never now. Q. Do you have any spare parts? A. Yes I have the original Chrome wheels, not in great shape straight and true, but some road rash on them. Will include them at the buy it now, otherwise they will be a separate auction at a later date. Q. Will you trade for my 1991 Pinto? A. Most likely not, as the car will probably be shipped. Q. Will you assist in pick up and drop off for any transport company? A. Absolutely I have no issues helping facilitate any transport related pickup and drop off. Q. Are the Seats Heated and cooled? what about the steering wheel? A. Heated and cooled seats = YES car is not equipped with heated wheel. Keep the questions coming, happy to answer them. Great car for a great price.. Happy bidding |

Cadillac confirms 'Blackwing' name, manual gearboxes for pumped-up CT4-V, CT5-V
Tue, Apr 14 2020Cadillac officially confirmed Tuesday that the high-output variants of its new CT4-V and CT5-V sedans will be dubbed "Blackwing," sharing a nameplate with GM's stillborn twin-turbocharged V8. As an added bonus, company representatives said for certain that both of Cadillac's new super-sedans will be offered with a manual transmission, confirming long-standing rumors to that effect. "The Blackwing name has come to represent the very best of Cadillac performance engineering, craftsmanship and technology," said Cadillac chief engineer Brandon Vivian. "The new CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing build on the brand’s respected legacy of ultimate-performance driving experiences and elevate them even further." Cadillac says the two Blackwing sedans, which are successors to the critically acclaimed ATS-V and CTS-V, will represent "the apex of Cadillac performance and driver engagement." The company also remained mum on just what to expect in terms of capability, teasing only the fact that both the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing posted quicker lap times in testing at Virginia International Raceway earlier this year than their predecessors did.  Rumors have pointed to the CT5-V Blackwing making use of the company's supercharged 6.2-liter V8, which also powered its predecessor. The 6.2 shares its architecture with the company's flagship, naturally aspirated V8, making it an economical choice for powering performance cars. The smaller CT4-V is likely to be motivated by a turbocharged 6-cylinder. They will also be available in limited numbers, though Cadillac's announcement did not elaborate on just how many (or few, as the case may be) will eventually be built, or how many model years to expect. The CT6-V, which carries the 4.2-liter V8 that shares the "Blackwing" name, saw only limited production before being axed. The V8 itself may find a new home down the road, but for the time being, it's toast. Cadillac assured us that more information on the new CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing will be come along soon enough. For now, at least we know what they're going to be called. Related Video:  Â
Junkyard Gem: 1973 Cadillac Eldorado
Mon, Jun 13 2016The 1971-1978 Cadillac Eldorado was a gloriously ridiculous personal luxury coupe, packing a monstrous 500-cubic-inch V8 (that's 8.2 liters for you freedom-hating metric types) under its acre-sized hood for the first five years of production. Fuel economy was comfortably into single-digit territory, which meant you had to be a real high roller to be able to feed a new Eldo after OPEC turned off the oil spigot. I found this '73 in a Denver wrecking yard earlier this spring. View 18 Photos This car appears to have been sold new in Denver, and the extensive bodywork and sanded areas indicate that it was someone's project car prior to coming to the end of the line. The front-wheel-drive system used in the Cadillac Eldorados and Oldsmobile Toronados of this era was known as the Unified Powerplant Package, and it used a longitudinally-mounted engine feeding a chain-drive setup that proved to be amazingly sturdy and reliable. So sturdy, in fact, that it was used in gigantic front-wheel-drive GMC motorhomes. Everyone agrees that these cars are cool, but few are willing to rescue a rough example and take on the difficult and expensive job of a full restoration. This one isn't rusty, but that wasn't enough to save it. Related Video:
Cadillac ATS was almost front-wheel drive
Wed, 03 Apr 2013"We were going to do a front-wheel drive Cadillac compact off of Delta because it was going to be less expensive," Doug Parks, General Motors' vice president of global product programs, told the Automotive News during the Detroit Auto Show in January of this year. That sentence, referring to early ATS discussions more than five years ago - a period when the automaker, and the industry, was struggling - reveals that Cadillac's highly acclaimed rear-wheel drive compact sedan almost never happened.
Parks revealed that that automaker actually built a 2.0-liter test mule, on GM's Delta platform (shared with the Chevrolet Cruze and Buick Verano) and tested it in Europe. While the prototype was "pretty darn good," according to Parks, the team realized that in order to compete against Mercedes-Benz and BMW it would have to invest in a new rear-wheel drive platform.
The resulting all-new Alpha platform would eventually underpin the Cadillac ATS, and many would argue that its balanced rear-wheel drive chassis is its single most important attribute. Thankfully, the Alpha's goodness won't stop with the ATS. The upcoming 2014 Cadillac CTS and the future Camaro will also share its architecture, meaning the Cimarron will remain a distant memory.
