Up for your consideration is a 1989 Cadillac Allante.  If you are checking this listing you know the history and story behind these low production automobiles.  This particular example appears to have the original paint, top and interior.  Car runs great and drives great too.  A/C blows cold and all mechanicals are in working order.  These vehicles were produced with a heavy amount of cutting edge technology for the era.  All digital displays operate as they should and have great appearance.  The convertible top seals and functions as it should as well as the rear actuator that pulls the rear of the top down.  Paint is in decent shape for its age.  No tears in seats as well as no cracks in dash.  All keys included as well as original owners manual.

This Allante has four new tires, brakes, alternator and a recent tune up.  No leaks.

Driver's seat shows some wear near the left bolster.  Convertible top has three small slits near the rear windows.  The fabric of the top gets caught on the helping spring causing the slits.  A common problem with these models.  Small dent in passenger side door.  Surface rust beginning to appear in the rear wheel arches at the bottom.  This is an honest, true, original example.  Sure to be a future classic.  Car is available for inspection and is encouraged.  $500 deposit required within 24 hours of listing completion.  Shipping is buyers responsibility.  Wire transfer, bank check, cash, or paypal acceptable forms of payment.  Please contact me with any questions.

GM outlines strategy for new products, growth in China

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

"Our strategic plan is a pathway to earn customers for life and create significant shareholder value in the process." - Mary Barra
General Motors laid out ambitious plans on Wednesday to become the world's "most valued automotive company," a goal it says it can reach by strengthening its business in China, rebuilding the Cadillac luxury brand and fixing the foundering GM Europe operations.

Cadillac teases production ELR ahead of Detroit Auto Show

Tue, 18 Dec 2012

General Motors has just confirmed that the 2014 Cadillac ELR will make its official debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. We've already seen the ELR testing earlier this year using the same range-extended electric drive system as the Chevrolet Volt, and based on the shadowy image above, we're happy to see that the coupe's styling has stayed pretty true to 2009 Converj Concept.
The two-door ELR will be built alongside the Volt at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck plant starting later next year. Aside from this info, Cadillac has remained tight-lipped on the specific details of the car. But all that will all change on January 15.
Until then, all we have to offer you is the press release posted after the jump.

GM announces six new recalls, covering 3.5 million vehicles

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

General Motors has just initiated another crushingly large recall, this time affecting some 3.36 million vehicles built between 2000 and 2014 and sold in the US, Canada and Mexico. Once again, the issue surrounds the cars' ignition switches, which can be kicked out of the run position if they're carrying extra weight or if they experience a "jarring" event. In this particular case, though, GM will modify the keys, rather than the ignition itself.
A four-by-six-millimeter hole will be drilled into the key, which will more safely accommodate the weight of the key ring. As is usually the case, the work will be done free of charge. The recalled vehicles include the 2000 to 2005 Cadillac Deville, 2004 to 2005 Buick Regal LS and GS, 2004 to 2011 Cadillac DTS, 2005 to 2009 Buick Lacrosse, 2006 to 2008 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2006 to 2011 Buick Lucerne and 2006 to 2014 Chevrolet Impala. Only the Impala is still in production, and even then, it's only sold to fleet companies.
According to an official statement from GM, there have been eight crashes and six injuries due to this latest issue. As if this isn't a dire enough blow for GM, the company has announced five smaller recalls, covering 165,000 vehicles.
