1972 Buick Skylark 350. 2 Door Hardtop. This is a true 2 owner car, and even comes with the original pick slip from 1972 as well as a current clean title.

This car has a documented original mileage of 116,XXX as shown on original pink slip at time of sale to me.

It also has brand new front suspension (springs, control arms/bushings, tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, sway bar/bushings, shocks) and new rear springs installed, but does need new rear shocks to finish it off. It still has the original blue AC Delco rear shocks.

All of the fluids have been changed within the last 500 miles.

Numbers matching 2 bbl 350 (comes with an extra 4 bbl manifold, but no carb,) TH350 automatic and 2.56 geared open 10 bolt rear axle. 4 wheel non power drum brakes that work perfectly. This car stops very nicely, no disc brake upgrade needed at all.
Brand new tires with less than 500 miles as well.
New heater core and radiator.

Every piece of trim and emblem missing in the photos is in my garage except the rear "skylark" and "350" emblems, I do not have them.

The only rust this car has is on the bottom of the passenger side fender, very easy to fix, but I will include another fender with the sale.  There is some very light surface rust on the trunk floor which just needs to be cleaned off, I even have new trunk paint for it, I just haven't gotten around to doing it.

I do have more pictures of the car that I can send and I will take more of any specific parts you're interested in seeing.

With a new paint job, carpet and the front seat split seams fixed, this would be a perfect unrestored, original survivor car.

A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction close with full payment due within 3 days of auction ending.

All shipping or pick-up will be the buyer's responsibility.

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Buick Adam a reality after all... but only in China

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

General Motors may have parred down its brand portfolio, but it still has more under its umbrella than most. That's why, while a company like Ford might market the same vehicle under its own name in markets around the world, GM uses different brands in different markets. But no two are aligned quite as closely as Opel in Europe and Buick in the United States and China.
What we know here as the Buick Regal is sold overseas as the Opel Insignia. Our Encore is their Mokka. Verano? Astra sedan. But one thing we don't get here is the Opel Adam. The diminutive city car is GM's take on the Mini Cooper, Fiat 500, Citroën DS3 et al. Launched at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Opel Adam is named after the company's founder (like an ironic thumbing of the nose to the Ferrari Enzo). But while it's sold, like most Opels, in the UK as a Vauxhall, the prospect of it porting over to Buick seems slim to none. Right?
Sorta. While the Adam isn't likely to come Stateside, the latest reports (as yet unconfirmed by GM) suggest that The General is planning to sell the Adam in China where the Buick brand is also a strong seller. Local production could ensue, with prices targeting the Fiat 500 and engines - according to CarNewsChina.com - to include inline-fours displacing 1.2 and 1.4 liters with 69 and 100 horsepower, respectively.

Buick Encore blitzes first-year sales predictions

Sat, 01 Mar 2014

With its first full year of sales in the bag, it's safe to say that Buick has a hit on its hands with the Encore. US buyers have snatched up 31,046 of the small, premium crossovers since the Encore went on sale in January of 2013, while 97,311 were sold globally (not counting its counterparts from Opel and Vauxhall).
While we liked the Encore when we first drove it, we'll admit, we weren't sure how the tiny CUV would do. In fact, the first thing Executive Editor Chris Paukert wrote about the Encore was, "We admit it. We have no earthly idea how this whole thing is going to shake out." But it's done well, and has been subject to heavy demand over the past year, blowing away the estimates of analysts, who, according to an August story from Automotive News, projected no more than 18,500 units would be sold in 2013.
"Right out of the gate, demand for the Encore was high," Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick marketing said in a statement. "It accounted for most of the segment's growth last year and that's because it offers the right safety, technology and features in the right-sized vehicle for many customers."
