1992 Superior Buick Roadmaster 44" Six Door Limousine
Very Rare! 1992 was the only year allowed by General Motors to convert the Buick Roadmaster into a limousine by approved Cadillac Master Coachbuilders (CMC). By 1993 when the new body style 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood was available, the Buick Roadmaster limo was no longer available. The Buick Roadmaster was still available as a hearse until 1996. There was a very limited number of Buick Roadmaster limousines produced. To find one in this condition, with such low miles that was funeral home owned it's whole life is a very rare find.
This limousine was converted by Superior Coaches in Lima, OH:
- (6) Door Handles
- Rear Heat & A/C Controls in Driver's Compartment w/ Overhead Vents
- Full Vinyl Limousine Top
- Limo Tinted Windows
- 44" Stretch
Excellent Condition! This limousine was originally owned by a Missouri funeral home. We took it in trade from an Iowa funeral home where it was still in service. Typical under carriage rust. Drives Great!
- A/C Blows Cold
- All new Brakes and Brake Lines installed
- Body is in Exceptional Condition
- Burgundy Velour Interior is in Exceptional Condition... No Drinking and No Smoking ever!
I do this for a living and you just don't see these. If you are affiliated with the Professional Car Society or just looking for unique vehicle that was converted by a professional coachbuilder and not just someone in his garage...This Is It! 2014 Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse recalled over brake mix-up
Thu, 08 May 2014The recall madness over at General Motors isn't letting up anytime soon, as evidenced by this latest call-back of 8,208 Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans. For those keeping track, this is the fifth recall that GM has announced in the past two weeks, not to mention the massive ignition-switch issue from earlier this year.
GM issued a statement saying these sedans are being recalled due to "possible reduced braking performance," according to Automotive News. The problem? Rear brake rotors may have accidentally been installed in the front brake assembly. And since both cars use more robust braking systems up front than out back, braking power could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Automotive News reports that, of the over 8,000 cars being recalled, about 1,700 are currently in the hands of customers, while the others are still in dealer inventory. GM is unaware of any crashes or injuries related to this problem. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2014 model year.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
