This 1957 Buick Special Convertible, is not a Roadmaster, it is a low production Buick Convertible produced in 1957. This Special has been stored since the early 70's. It does not run, the engine is stuck from sitting. The Buick is very low options, it has a radio, and power steering, manual windows, and brakes, the floors are decent, needing some pan replacement, the trunk is very solid, the body mounts are good. The rockers will need attention, the frame is perfect, the doors open and close very well. The Buick is equipped with 4 Skylark wire wheels, I believe from an earlier model. I purchased a parts car, 1957 Century 2 door hardtop. that has all of the parts that you may see missing in the pictures. The parts car is available with this Convertible as a package, so actually you are bidding on two 1957 Buicks, there is a clean title for the Convertible, no title for the parts car, it is a parts car, but I feel it is needed for this restoration. Please look at the pictures carefully, ask any and all questions, this is a binding auction, read it and read it again if you are not understanding condition, and the additional parts car. This Buick is being sold AS IS, No Warranty Either Express or Implied. You are responsible for shipping, over-seas buyers are more than welcome. No 0 or neg feedback bids will be honored, if you have feedback you must contact me first or I will eliminate your bid. Again, I have 100% pos feedback and want to keep it that way, please ask any and all questions first before bidding.. Thanks and good luck bidding, Earlier I had made an error, in the listing, this car is a Special Convertible, please not if you bid you are bidding on a Special series 40, one of 8,505 produced in 1957, and a Century 2 door hardtop parts car. I apologize for the error. It is a Special, I could not change the heading for the listing I tried, Thanks

J.D. Power: Mini, Lexus again offer most satisfying sales experience
Thu, 29 Nov 2012JD Power has released its annual Sales Satisfaction Index Study, and once again Mini and Lexus have taken top honors. Overall, buyers are more satisfied with the auto-buying sales experience than they were last year, with those surveyed reporting an average score of 664 points on a 1,000-point scale. That's up from 648 in 2011. Dealer satisfaction also increased by five points over last year as well.
All told, Lexus brought home an index score of 737, which was high enough to put it atop the luxury brands for the second year in a row. JD Power says Infiniti came in second in that category with a score of 728 and Cadillac rounded out the podium with it's rating of 725. Speaking of Infiniti, that brand saw the single largest jump in sales satisfaction of any brand on the survey, popping up 52 index points over 2011.
Among mass-market brands, Mini ranked highest with a score of 712, followed closely by Buick with 706 and GMC farther down the line with 683. You can check out the full press release below for more information.
Bob Seger's Detroit Made music video is an homage to the Motor City
Tue, 16 Sep 2014At this point, Bob Seger feels like the living embodiment of old-school rock 'n' roll. The Michigan native has been strumming out classic records like Night Moves for decades, and he just released a new single called Detroit Made. It sounds like a future staple of just about every classic car show within the next few years, and the video is dedicated to the Motor City, past and future.
Detroit Made is all about cruising in the city in a classic Buick Electra 225, perhaps better known as a "deuce and a quarter." It's straight-down-the-middle rock and could just as easily be from a decades-old Seger album as something new.
The video for the new single mixes shots of American classics cruising along Woodward Avenue with a contemporary look at the city. Sure, there are the well-known dilapidated buildings falling into rubble, but the people there aren't just letting the city die. Other parts show the attempts to clean things up and rebuild. Check out the video if you need a few minutes of old school rockin' in your life.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
