Selling my grandfathers GORGEOUS 1983 Convertible Buick Riviera, such a rare classic. My grandfather has kept it covered in garage mostly since he obtained it years ago, just took out on a few occasions. The car has been well maintenanced over the years runs like a beauty should.

The Good: always maintenanced, LOW only 69,173 original miles on it, runs great very smoothe, interior still in great condition (seats, carpet, dash etc all still look beautiful no cracks/fading, has original parade boot in great condition, also original spare tire, has white wall tires with original caps, the top still works good mechanically, the power for seats and everything still works good, has original cassette stereo inside that all works perfectly. the trunk still looks very clean all original, soo many plus's see the photos.

The Bad: The convertible top had some weather damage that were patched as you see in photos, but still works great no major leaks, The rear right quarter panel got scraped and has the cracks you see in photos. The rear bumper fill in near the license plate holder is also cracked but is also another low cost repair. Other than these flaws this car is amazing.

Don't miss out on this rare opportunity to have Buicks flagship vehicle!!!

NOTES:

* Engine is a 5.0 it gets great mileage on the highway due to engine size but no exact mileage testing ever done.

* Rag top has only cosmetic issues as pictured, but has been patched so no leaks. Mechanically the top works great though. We've gotten couple quotes for rag top replacement ranging from $300-$500

* The parade boot is the leather piece that covers the top when it's down behind backseat, they call it that because back in the day people would sit on top of this area in parades.

Other than that this car is mechanically sound and beautiful.

PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING!!

SHIPPING: SHIPPING WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER

WE WILL FULLY DETAIL THE VEHICLE FOR BUYER!!  (I apologize as the photos taken were before any kind of detailing has been done, this is a beautiful vehicle)

2019 Buick Envision First Drive Review | Still not a standout

Thu, Mar 15 2018

ATLANTA – "We're in the fashion business," executive chief engineer Rick Spina told us as he introduced the 2019 Buick Envision. "Except with a lot of technology." Spina was referring to the changing whims of new-car buyers, which have prompted Buick to give the compact Envision crossover its mid-generational update early — just 18 months into its lifecycle — and drop its prices across all trim levels. As with much of our consumer goods, the Envision is made in China. That doesn't seem to have hurt it in the market, even though it wears the badge of one of the most quintessentially American brands out there. It even aced the IIHS crash tests, putting it in league with Volvo, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus. There's good news and bad news about how the Envision is doing. It's now the third-best-selling model in the Buick portfolio, behind the three-row Enclave in second place and the surprise hit Encore subcompact crossover in first. Sam Russell, Buick's director of marketing, reported 73 percent growth in the past nine months versus the first half of its market life. A full 60 percent of Envision buyers are new to the GM family, too, and Russell says that nearly half of those are likely to buy another Buick SUV when the time comes to trade in the Envision. And yet, the Envision trails in luxury compact-crossover sales, behind mainstays such as the Audi Q5 and Acura RDX, even amid crossover demand in the U.S. that has companies like Nissan posting record sales numbers and Ford canceling a redesign of the Fusion. Our test of the 2017 Envision found it competent, but lacking that "X factor" that would send buyers of German and Japanese marques flocking. Instead, we compared it to the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, and deemed those both better values. Perhaps Buick feels the same, because the base 2019 Envision now starts at $32,990, a $2,000 cut from last year. The Preferred trim level sees a greater drop of $2,400, to $34,495. Rounding out the naturally aspirated 2.5-liter grades, the Essence's price falls $1,900 to $36,795. The turbocharged 2.0-liter Premium and Premium II trims get a discount of $1,600 and $1,400, respectively. With those prices come changes that Buick hopes will make the Envision a more compelling prospect. Outwardly, the Envision sports a new grille, a winged affair to replace the 2018's waterfall and bring it in line with the rest of Buick's lineup.

GM announces net 220 job increase as Trump visits Michigan

Wed, Mar 15 2017

GM announced today that about 900 jobs would be added (or, importantly, retained) ahead of President Trump's arrival in Michigan, where he is expected to discuss his plan to roll back fuel economy standards. The timing of the announcement is almost certainly not coincidental, as appending it to a Trump visit gives it a higher profile and dovetails with the President's jobs agenda. It's less likely the decision itself was made for those reasons, but the free PR boost is a nice bonus. As for those 900 jobs themselves, they aren't all new jobs. The only net gain is approximately 220 jobs at the Romulus Powertrain Plant, which produces the 10-speed automatic transmission that's proliferating through the company's lineup. The 180 jobs at Flint Assembly and 500 jobs at Lansing Delta Township are retained jobs – that is to say, spots the company found for workers who would otherwise have been laid off. By the way, the Flint jobs will help with production of heavy-duty pickups, and the Lansing jobs are to produce the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Finding jobs for manufacturing workers in the auto sector, whether new or retained, is admirable. No matter how GM couches it, the company has created or retained a total of 7,000 jobs this year, and its total reinvestment in US production is around $1 billion. But these decisions are business ones, not political ones – timing the announcements to make them seem inspired by economic policy, or the political situation, is simply smart PR. 2013 Buick Verano Turbo vs. 2013 Acura ILX 2.4

Answering The $30,000 Entry-Level Luxury Question
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and Acura would have matched a Skylark against an Integra.
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and its Acura equivalent would have matched a Skylark against an Integra. The unfair battle would have resulted in the compact American's defeat in nearly every measurable category, as the Japanese competitor was arguably at the height of its powers.
