I am selling for a friend his 1982 Buick Rivera Convertible with only 42k miles. he is the 2nd owner 350 engine runs great and is real smooth transmission shifts like it should seats arte in great condition for a 32 year old car. The air is complete but does not work windows are slow right side front does not roll down. runs and drives great just  needs paint job the paint appears to be the original paint. sold with a bill of sale and Ga registration. this is one of only 1248 built.

This is IT! Your could be your last chance to own a 1982 Buick Riviera Convertible!
When it comes to the 1980's there were only a handful of cars that truly defined the era.  Emerging from a dark period when American cars had become so bloated and obese-lathered with padded tops, pillowed seats and massive bodies laboring on spongy suspensions-Detroit was trying mightily to catch up with the steadily increasing influx of lighter, more fuel efficient and, frankly, better built imports.

In 1982, Buick introduced the first convertible to have emerged from the bowels of Detroit since 1976-and it was unforgettable.  The American financial system was recovering from an economy that was just beginning to rebound and Buick took a big chance on a high priced convertible.  Consider this: a brand new 1982 Buick Riviera hardtop, a best seller for Buick, cost $14,898.45 (base price with freight)-not a cheap car by any standard. The 1982 Buick Riviera Convertible, a new untested car for Buick, cost $24,494.25 (base price with freight). Add some options and this car could top out at over $27,500.00. This was the highest priced automobile GM sold, and that counted the entire brand, including Cadillac. And there was only 1248 of these cars built is 1982.

GM to offer 2 years free maintance on most 2014 models

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

A day after Ford announced it was scaling back the complimentary maintenance program for its Lincoln brand, General Motors has gone in the completely opposite direction, offering most of its 2014 lineup with free maintenance. Since 2011, Cadillac models have all come with a four-year/50,000-mile complimentary maintenance program, but Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles will now come standard with free maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles for the 2014 model year.
The program will give vehicle owners and lessees free oil changes, tire rotations and 27-point inspections following the recommended maintenance schedule laid out in each vehicle's owner's manual. We contacted GM to see which vehicles were eligible for the program, and a spokesperson got back to us with the following comment:
"All 2014 models are eligible, it's just that the included services vary by model, e.g., Spark EV would not need oil changes, Corvettes don't recommend tire rotations."

Opel Cascada close to getting green light for US

Fri, 13 Sep 2013

For a company with a long tradition of grand touring convertibles, it's almost unseemly that General Motors doesn't offer a properly relaxed four-seat convertible in North America. There's the Chevrolet Camaro, of course, but it's not big on rear-seat space and it doesn't offer that sort of serene demeanor that many open-air buyers crave. We're thinking of something more refined and, dare we say, elegant. Something a bit closer to the Opel Cascada.
The General's front-wheel drive convertible went on sale in Europe this year, and while it seemed like a natural fit for its Buick brand in America, it's never been sold here. That may be about to change, however. Back in June, CEO Dan Akerson hinted he'd like to see the Cascada available in the US, and now there's word from Edmunds that importation "could happen soon." That's according to an unnamed insider at the company.

Next-gen LaCrosse, Cascada convertible coming to Buick showrooms in 2016

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

It's difficult to overstate how significant the post-bankruptcy years have been for General Motors' Buick brand. Arguably the most improved American automaker, Buick has rounded out its range with an excellent compact in the Verano, a well-balanced midsizer in the Regal and a segment-busting mini-CUV, with the Encore.
Seeking to keep that momentum going, the next several years will see the brand address a trio of its most obvious issues. First and foremost will be a replacement for the aging LaCrosse, a vehicle whose only bit of attention since its 2009 debut was a very light refresh in 2013.
According to Automotive News, we should expect the next-generation LaCrosse to arrive late next year or early in 2016, as a 2016 model. AN expects big design changes, as Buick attempts to further the LaCrosse from its popular platform-mate, the Chevrolet Impala. The changes won't be so radical, though, as to do away with its front-drive architecture, as the latest version of the Epsilon platform will underpin the next LaCrosse. The 3.6-liter V6 is likely to carry on, although a smaller, budget-minded offering is also extremely likely (we'll eat our hat if it's not the 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the Regal, Verano and Cadillac CTS et al.).
