THIS IS A 3 DAY AUCTION ONLY!!!!! Up for bids is a 2002 Buick Rendezvous AWD with 3rd row seating. This vehicle developed an oil leak at the sensor and the owner let the oil level get low and it messed up the bottom end of the engine. The engine will need replaced or the one that's in it can be repaired with a crank shaft kit. No other engine parts are damaged. The Buick has 142000 miles on it and it was being used everyday until the engine problem occurred. This vehicle has just had 4 new tires put on it right before the engine messed up so you know it was being driven daily. The tires are high dollar Cooper tires which are probably $150 each. I cannot tell you a lot about the vehicle as it came to me with this problem but as I said if it weren't a good SUV they would not have put that much in tires for it.It did run but the bottom end of the engine had noise. I pulled the oil pan off to see how bad the damage was and I have it and all the bolts to put it back. Just didn't see the need to reinstall it when it would have to come off again anyway. This Rendezvous is loaded with most every option you could get including the 3rd row seating and backup assist. The interior shows some wear but nothing major although it does need cleaning some. The exterior of this Buick is extra nice as its not all beat up or scratched very much. The paint shines good and the wheels are aluminum and will clean up nice. You can find these engines in most salvage yards very cheap as lots of GM vehicles had the same engine. Drop the engine in and you will have a great SUV for very little investment. The reserve is low and considering the vehicle condition you don't want to miss out on this deal. Remember it has 4 new tires on it which probably cost a total of $600 or more. Checkout my feedback as it is well over 500 and all positive so rest assure your dealing with an honest ebayer. You don't get great feedback like that if you lie and cheat people, I tell it like it is. PLEASE bid only if you are a serious buyer as it costs money to relist these items. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is listed for sale locally also. Thanks for looking and good luck should you decide to bid on this great Buick Rendezvous. If you have less than 10 positive feedback you need to email me and assure me you are a serious bidder or I will cancel you bid. Sorry. Also this Buick has a very high retail book price when its repaired so the buy it now price I have is a steal. Don't miss out and remember this is a 3 DAY AUCTION.!!!!!
On May-19-13 at 13:59:51 PDT, seller added the following information:

GM announces 6 recalls covering nearly 720k cars
Wed, 23 Jul 2014General Motors has announced yet another sprawling recall campaign, with six separate elements covering 717,950 vehicles on US roads. At this point in 2014, it's starting to seem like there are more days with a GM recall than without. Perhaps most troubling about this latest volley, though, is that every vehicle is from the past few years, indicating that GM's quality woes may not be limited to pre-bankruptcy vehicles.
The largest element of this latest campaign covers 414,333 units, and includes the 2011 to 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, 2010 to 2012 Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX and the 2011 to 2012 Buick Regal and LaCrosse. Only vehicles with powered, height-adjustable seats are covered. In these particular cars and crossovers, the bolt that secures the height adjuster actuator may loosen of its own accord and in some cases fall out completely. If this happens, the seats will be able to move both up and down. GM claims the vehicles are safe to drive, provided drivers don't vertically adjust their seats. This particular issue has caused one crash and three injuries.

GM says safety is a reason it's dropping Apple CarPlay, Android Auto
Tue, Dec 12 2023Update: GM sent us a statement as a follow-up to its original comments seen in this post: "We wanted to reach out to clarify that comments about GM's position on phone projection were misrepresented in previous articles and to reinforce our valued partnerships with Apple and Google and each company’s commitment to driver safety. GM's embedded infotainment strategy is driven by the benefits of having a system that allows for greater integration with the larger GM ecosystem and vehicles." The original story can be read in its entirety below.  General Motors announced its intention to remove Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality from its upcoming EVs earlier this year, and internet comments sections haven't been kind since. As the first of many EVs to follow – the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV – hits the market, GM is expanding on its initial explanations for dropping the tech. Motor Trend spoke with Tim Babbit, GMÂ’s head of product for infotainment, to learn more. Attributed to Babbit, from the story: “They have stability issues that manifest themselves as bad connections, poor rendering, slow responses, and dropped connections. And when CarPlay and Android Auto have issues, drivers pick up their phones again, taking their eyes off the road and totally defeating the purpose of these phone-mirroring programs. Solving those issues can sometimes be beyond the control of the automaker.” Babbit suggests that a world without Apple CarPlay or Android Auto will be a safer one, as folks wonÂ’t be looking to control their infotainment systems via their phones. However, Babbit also tells MT that this theory hasnÂ’t been tested in either the lab or the real world yet. Instead of using a navigation or music-playing app powered through your phone, upcoming GM EVs will use a Google-based infotainment system called “Ultifi” that runs a ton of integrated Google apps. Google Maps will be the native navigation app in the system; youÂ’ll be able to log in to Spotify or other apps to load your music up, and so on. The idea here is that youÂ’ll have all the same apps that were on your phone available but integrated within the infotainment system instead, and you'll be able to use voice controls to control every last bit of it with no need to reach for a phone. That sounds amenable in theory, but how consumers react to the removal of a feature that they know and love now is a risky gamble.
2014 Buick Regal GS AWD
Thu, 27 Feb 2014"This is just silly," I said as I laughed my way sideways around the icy track at Circuit ICAR, a racecourse, drag strip and kart track at the Montreal-Mirabel International Airport in Quebec. It wasn't the activity that had me cracking up, though. After all, winter driving experiences aren't uncommon in this business.
No, in this particular case, it was the car that had me chuckling. I wasn't in a mad hot hatch or a rally-derived rocket - I was in a Buick. The 2014 Regal GS, to be more precise. Somehow, despite its recent product renaissance (not to mention its distant - yet storied - history of performance models), I was having a hard time believing that this attractive, turbocharged, all-wheel-drive sedan sliding around the Great White North could possibly be wearing a Tri-Shield badge on its nose.
But it was, and slide about it did. While having access to a vehicle in this setting is fairly rare, what's rarer is the fact that I've had so much exposure to it. In Mr. Ewing's recent Volkswagen Golf R drive story, for instance, his ice capades were his first experience with the new model. In my case, though, I was lucky enough to first test the refreshed Regal GS for a week back in December before flying to Quebec to drive it on the snowy, icy, winding roads of Canada's most fiercely independent province and on the track at Mirabel.
