Well here goes! This is a very nice 1987 Buick Regal T-Type with T-Tops from factory. The interior in the car is new an looks really good. The dash has two cracks in it as u can see in the pic. All the gages in the car works like they should but the factory RPM gage just stays on. All the aftermarket gages I have in there work just fine and they are the temp, boost an rpm. The power windows work just fine but the power DOOR locks don't, thinking it is the fuse. Now for the fun part! I bought the car last year an pulled a car fax on it an it shows no accidents an it came out of North Carolina an the last reported mileage was 90,000 miles an now the car shows 3670 on the odo so I'm thinking now its 103,670. When I first bought it, it spun the number one rod bearing so I had the hole bottom end rebuilt an had it bored .30 over an put deep dish forged pistons an rods in it and all new bearings steel crank so it would hold the boost an the power that the car will produce. The turbo is a little bigger then factory bigger blow off value 3in down pipe coming off the turbo is what the guy told me that rebuilt the motor an this is the 5th Grand National he has built an he did a jam up job. The car has bigger oil lines an oil pump still has the factory inter cooler on it, electric fan system the car never runs hot. The guy that I got it from had a set of sub frame connectors welded on an they really did a good job not gum all up. The boost is at 25 pounds an that's the lowest it will down an it runs really good but u have to run race gas in it so it the only thing left to make this car perform like it should far as holding the power is get it tuned an put a smaller boost spring or whatever its called an put it at 20 pounds an then you can run 93 octane an have no issues. It needs a flash tuner put on it also. the car does not smoke at all motor runs out perfect drive it anywhere u like. The a/c has been took off by the previse owner. He put a delete kit on it but still has the condser that the a/c lines hook to. The heat works perfect. may need a set of new tires the body of the car is in real good shape along with the paint. Their is one spot on the corner of the driver side door on the inside where there is a little rust but not thought the door just surface. You have to open the door to see it. also already has a 255 walboul fuel pump. You can drive the car now with 93 octane but it want take all the boost. but all you got to do now is get it tuned so it will perform off of 93 instead of 110 race fuel. I have really like an loved this car its pretty it nice clean but just time to let someone else enjoy it. I also have the recipe where I had the motor rebuilt an the car has a clean title an its ready to go. Couple more things the car does have two flowmaster muffles on it with chrome tips an looks really good. I no im Polly missing something so pls call 843-858-6912 if u have anymore questions my name is Tracy. happy bidding an god bless.... thanks

MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect. Buick Regal lives on in China, gets visual and tech updates
Fri, Jul 28 2023Axed from the American market after the 2020 model year, the Buick Regal lives on in China. It's selling well enough across the Pacific for the General Motors-owned brand to justify investing in a round of updates that includes a new-look exterior design and more interior tech. Chinese buyers only have access to the sedan variant of the Regal; the TourX wagon briefly sold on our shores isn't available. The facelift includes sharper-looking headlights, a big grille that occupies most of the space on a redesigned front bumper, and Buick's new logo. Not much has changed when you look at the Regal from the side, it still features an upswept line that runs across the bottom of both doors, and Buick chose not to publish photos of the rear end which strongly suggests little has been updated. New wheel designs are available as well. Most of the changes made to the interior fall in the technology basket. Buick notably added its QuietTuning noise-cancelling function, which promises to make the cabin quieter, while shift-by-wire technology frees up space for two big cupholders on the center console. Connectivity is part of the package, too: Buick's eConnect infotainment system includes an artificial intelligence-powered Baidu voice assistant. Power for China's Regal comes from a turbocharged, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine whose output hasn't been released. Alternatively, the list of options includes a 2.0-liter turbo-four rated at 233 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It spins the front wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. In contrast, the Regal sold here was available with anywhere from 250 to 310 horsepower depending on the trim. Pricing for the 2023 Buick Regal starts at 159,800 Chinese yuan, which represents around $22,400. China is the Regal's last bastion. Buick left the sedan segment in the United States after it swept the Regal out of its range in 2020, and no evidence credibly suggests that a successor for our market is in the pipeline. Opel — which General Motors sold to Peugeot in 2017 — developed the Regal and sold its own version of it called Insignia across Europe until 2022. Here again, the model won't be directly replaced. Continuing our global tour, Australia-based Holden tried to market a variant of the Insignia as a replacement for the rear-wheel-drive, V8-powered Commodore from 2018 to 2020. The model flopped and retired after a lackluster career, and Holden closed shortly after. Related video:
Buick reveals new Verano in Shanghai
Mon, Apr 20 2015The lion's share of the new vehicles being showcased at the Shanghai Motor Show this week may never make their way to US showrooms. But Americans will surely want to note the unveiling of the all-new Buick Verano. The current compact sedan in the Buick lineup arrived in 2011, and is now preparing to enter its second generation with the model you see here. Details are the only element more scarce than photos (GM has released one thus far), but we can see that the new Verano adopts more dynamic styling than the model it replaces. The design borrows elements from the Riviera and Avenir concepts, with a more steeply raked windshield and rear glass said to give the new Verano a more elongated look (and lower drag coefficient) than its compact footprint would dictate. Up front you'll see Buick's signature waterfall grille, flanked by HID xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and taillamps. Motivation comes courtesy of a 1.5-liter turbocharged Ecotec four, driving 166 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque through a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 17-inch wheels are shod with Continental rubber. Just how many of these specifications will remain relevant when the new Verano reaches Buick dealers on this side of the Pacific remains to be seen, but for now you can delve into the full press release below. Related Video: Buick Verano Debuts at Shanghai GM Gala Night New-generation sports sedan offers stylish exterior, class-leading fuel efficiency and precise handling SHANGHAI – Buick's new-generation sports sedan, the Verano, made its debut this evening at Shanghai GM Gala Night. It will be appearing on Shanghai GM's stand at Auto Shanghai 2015, which starts tomorrow. The brand's latest entry in the mid-range passenger car segment has a stylish exterior, class-leading fuel efficiency and precise handling. The Verano is targeted at individuals who value a personal and dynamic driving experience. Design inspired by Buick Riviera and Avenir concept cars The Verano was inspired by the new Buick Riviera concept car, which premiered in 2013, and captures the design essence of the Buick Avenir concept car, which debuted at this year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It represents an innovative interpretation of Buick's classic styling while exemplifying the elegance and dynamism of Buick's new-generation products.
