Here is an absolutely STUNNING 1973 Buick Century Regal!  It was acquired from the original family and is completely original and un-restored!  It has 9500 ORIGINAL MILES from new!  This is NOT a misprint!  Less than 10,000 ORIGINAL MILES!  Car is equipped with 350/2bbl V8 engine, automatic transmission, ps, pb, landau top, and black bench seat interior.  It does not have air conditioning.  Everything is original on this car except for the battery and the tires have been replaced with radials.  We do have the original whitewall bias ply tires that were changed out for the radials.  They will be included with the car.  Also, original spare is in trunk.

Basically, this time capsule is as close as you can come to buying a brand new 1973 Regal without having a time machine!  Paint, chrome, interior, body, inside trunk, and under hood are all immaculate original with no issues that I can see at all.  Car has never been wrecked or rusted and is very clean underneath.  As you can imagine, this Buick runs and drives as good as it looks.  It is strong, smooth, and powerful!  We recently drove it on a 175 mile trip with no issues or problems.  Still even smells new inside!

This is an ideal car for those wanting to enter the "Survivor" class at car shows competitively, or would make a great tour car.  For those of you who would require air conditioning, remember that Vintage Air and other similar companies sell modern up to date A/C units that will fit nicely and utilize the existing vents in the car for $1000 to $1200.  Also, remember that "Survivor" cars are the up and coming thing in the classic car hobby and hold their value the best.  They are only original once!  Don't miss this one-of-a-kind-beauty!

ABOUT ME: I am a long time (35 years) hobbyist and collector of nice original "Survivor" cars. I have been in the same location for over 25 years and collect, trade, and fool with nice original cars from the late 1950s to mid 1980s. I keep a "rotating collection" of 6 to 8 such cars. When new arrivals appear, I will sell some to make room. This is the case here.

Now for the rules:

1. Your bid is a contract! If you are the successful bidder, you are expected to pay! Please have all contingencies handled and your money in place BEFORE you bid! No retractions will be allowed, so be sure BEFORE you bid! Please read and understand this: ASK QUESTIONS AND GET ANSWERS BEFORE YOU BID.

2. A $1500.00 NON REFUNDABLE partial payment is due within 48 hours of end of auction. This can be by bank wire transfer. Pay Pal is NOT acceptable for this. Balance is due within 7 days of auction's conclusion. This can be by bank wire transfer as well, and is probably the safest method.

3. Please note that car and I am currently at my summer residence. This is in upstate NY, about 1 hour west of Albany, and 1.5 hours east of Syracuse.

4. Vehicle and papers will not leave here until paid in full with cleared funds. If you are paying with ANY kind of check, it must clear MY bank before car or ownership will be released. No exceptions! Please note that with all the fraudulent money orders out there, most banks treat them like personal checks and place a 5 to 7 business day hold on them. Wire transfer is the best method. If you are paying balance on pickup, it must be cash in person. No exceptions.

5. Vehicle is sold strictly as-is at my premisies with no guarantee or warranty of any kind.

6. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. I will try to reasonably help and accommodate you any way I can, but it still YOUR responsibility.

7. If you cannot pick up immediately, that is fine, it can be left here for a reasonable period. However, it still must be paid for within the 7 days, and you should secure insurance as I cannot be responsible for loss or damage due to circumstances beyond my control or act of God.

8. Please ask and get satisfactory answers to all questions BEFORE YOU BID! Since sold strictly as/is, no warranty or returns, once you bid, you have made a binding contract.

9. Car is advertised locally for sale. If I find a buyer through that venue, I reserve the right to end auction early. Please call me at 704-661-1326 (cell) or 518-835-5058 (landline) with any further questions about this. due to spotty cell service, call both and leave messages at both if no answer.

10. If you have been an Ebay member for less than a year and/or have less than 10 feedbacks, and/or have less than a 95% rating, you MUST contact me BEFORE you bid. Failure to do this may result in my cancelling your bid and blocking you from bidding on my items. I understand that new members can be great customers, but I must talk to you first. Thanks a lot.

11. A $95.00 administrative fee will be added to the bid price. This helps pay for advertisng, paperwork, and sale fees incurred by me. It does not cover all my expenses, but helps defray some of them. Thanks for your understanding.

I am sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of difficult people spoil it for the 95% who are good. Thanks very much for looking! Again, please feel free to call 704-661-1326 cell or 518-835-5058 landline with any questions. Leave message if no answer. Thanks for looking!

Buick Riviera Concept debuts in China

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

It's nighttime in China, and Buick has just concluded an evening event the day before the first - and only - press day of the Shanghai Motor Show. The star of this evening's party was the Buick Riviera concept vehicle, a plug-in electric hybrid coupe that the automaker says gives a glimpse at its future design direction, not to mention resurrecting some nomenclature from the brand's history that includes a similarly named concept from 2007.
The shape of the Riviera is said to be inspired by water. While the traditional Buick "waterfall" grille is present, the front end gains a more aggressive note thanks to what appear to be vertical air inlets below each headlight.
As for the concept's drivetrain, Buick says it uses General Motors' new dual-mode wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion system, or W-PHEV for short. The keyword there is 'wireless,' as the Riviera can charge its onboard battery packs with a traditional cable or wirelessly via a "sensory recharge panel" underneath the car.

GM announces six new recalls, covering 3.5 million vehicles

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

General Motors has just initiated another crushingly large recall, this time affecting some 3.36 million vehicles built between 2000 and 2014 and sold in the US, Canada and Mexico. Once again, the issue surrounds the cars' ignition switches, which can be kicked out of the run position if they're carrying extra weight or if they experience a "jarring" event. In this particular case, though, GM will modify the keys, rather than the ignition itself.
A four-by-six-millimeter hole will be drilled into the key, which will more safely accommodate the weight of the key ring. As is usually the case, the work will be done free of charge. The recalled vehicles include the 2000 to 2005 Cadillac Deville, 2004 to 2005 Buick Regal LS and GS, 2004 to 2011 Cadillac DTS, 2005 to 2009 Buick Lacrosse, 2006 to 2008 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2006 to 2011 Buick Lucerne and 2006 to 2014 Chevrolet Impala. Only the Impala is still in production, and even then, it's only sold to fleet companies.
According to an official statement from GM, there have been eight crashes and six injuries due to this latest issue. As if this isn't a dire enough blow for GM, the company has announced five smaller recalls, covering 165,000 vehicles.

Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers

Wed, Aug 14 2024

Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.
