For Sale : Very Nice Buick Lucerne Super V-8 4 door Sedan with 85250 of gently driven miles. We just bought this car from my inlaws who purchased it in 2009. TThey drove it back and forth from Pa to Florida every winter and that is where the majority of the mileage was put on. they are both in their late 70's early 80's and my mother in law always drives. She is no speed demon

the car has just had all of the brake rotors replaced along with new brakes of course. It also had new tires and full service. Has always been full serviced by Chevy dealer and local garage.
We are selling it for one simple reason --- it is too nice a car for our 17, 19 and 21 year old boys to drive. It has tons of power and is clean and comfortable to drive. The only dings in it are from when my father in law decided to drive and kissed the front end passenger side bumper against a parking sign. The low bolt on the sign cut into the bumper and scraped some paint as you can see in the photos.

Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.

Buick celebrates 110 years by naming most significant model of each decade

Sun, 23 Jun 2013

In May of 1903, Buick began work on its first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, the first example of which was sold to a doctor in Flint, Michigan. That first sale was appropriate since later on, Buick became known as a "doctor's car." The Model B is the first of 11 cars chosen by Buick to highlight each decade of the company's 110-year history.
The 1916 D-45 Touring with a six-cylinder engine was Buick's highest seller that year, and helped push overall sales past six figures for the first time, making Buick the top-selling automotive brand. In 1931, Series 50 got an eight-cylinder engine, which helped the company survive the Great Depression. The 1936 Century was the first Buick that could hit 100 miles per hour, the 1949 Roadmaster had a supporting role in Rain Man, the 1953 Skylark had Italian wire wheels and the owner's name engraved on its steering wheel.
Then we have the iconic 1963 Riviera, the V6-powered 1975 Regal, and in 1987, the legendary GNX. With a turbocharged, intercooled V6 pumping out 276-horsepower it could hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. In 1999 Buick built the first car in China, the Century, and that country remains the brand's largest market.
