be sure to watch in 1080p HD, full-screen, with sound on!
this is a mild custom '59 Buick, customized unlike anything out there.
the entire car is finished & ready to show. it's a strong, daily driver grade car, worthy of in-door autorama class
showing, but also meant to be on the road & used.
it's garaged full-time & well cared for. this is my personal car, with clean title in-hand & current registration.
full working order, driven 5-7 days a week around town…get in and go.
the car is currently featured in Car Kulture Deluxe magazine for (#77) May 2016, on shelves now.
car was also feature on Kustomrama; search: Adam Woodhams
the '59 LeSabre body has been transferred to a modern version, of the top of the line '76 Electra chassis &
drive-train with power steering, power disc brakes, 3-speed automatic, and monster 455 big block Buick motor. it
stops on a dime, floats like a Cadillac on clouds, and accelerates like a dream. it fires right up, even when
cold...holds idle easy and runs like a top. unknown miles on all components, but truly strong & sharp. under the
hood was just completed and cleaned up in a sleek, dark, stealthy fashion, to contradict the exterior...matte black
engine bay with cast iron block. the motor was serviced with a full tune-up, fully rebuilt carb and distributor,
oil change, coolant flush, new air cleaner/cover, custom cut wires, plugs, belts, fuel pump, and wire tuck. the
turbo 400 transmission has been FULLY broken down & rebuilt and shifts firm with a mild shift-kit. it has maybe 500
miles on it and will last you another 100k miles, easy. the rear end is topped off and dry. brakes are all in great
working order and needs nothing. again, truly a worry-free, easy, dependable, get in and drive across the country
type car; no questions asked…drive it!things to know:
-all dash lights/gauges work but oil pressure, because the OE oil line cracked and we simply pinched it off. easy
fix, but not worth updating at this time, so we left it.
-shift gear indicator gauge does not work but column shifter works fine, so just remember the pattern: P, R, D, L1,
L2
-the clock does not work, but most likely just needs rebuilding...set to 5 o'clock for obvious reasons. lights up.
-no horn, but the entire wheel with horn ring is intact.
-no heater or AC but fan & controls & heater core are all there and intact. air flow ducts/vents function and work
great.
-car does not have any stereo, but is wired to charge a hanging wireless bluetooth speaker (see video) I use with
great success and ease. (we can talk more about that...not included)
-doors are shaved without poppers. the drivers door is wired with button and popper, but the solenoid failed. I do
not like electric poppers anyways, so I simply leave the driver's window cracked (see video) and reach in and open.
-rear passenger glass is stuck up. original arm in door needs rebuilding, but cannot locate part...I just leave it
up. all other windows work, including vent wings.

the car was recently completed. I’ll go thru the different systems/area in attempt to answer most questions you
may may have, so please read thru completely, first.
interior: fully gutted and redone. designed by myself using 5 colors of Zodiac sparkle vinyl with very thought out
gold details, stitching, and color combos. worked hand in hand with my upholsterer to address all details. the
entire tunnel is diamond stitched, as is the fire wall pleated, with matching trunk & lid, and even front inner
wheel fenders. the lines all match up and the unique panels have some pretty impressive details. hand painted gold
flake details on the gauge cluster and window knobs tie everything together. a sapphire blue short nap carpet ties
in the blue steering wheel & vinyl…overall the interior is my favorite part and almost more impressive than the
exterior. easy to clean & maintain too.
exterior: the car was nosed, decked, handles shaved, antenna & mirrors deleted, along with emblems & misc. trim.
removed. the rear bumper pan was smoothed into the rear quarter as well.
key holes were even deleted with custom stainless trim on each door. the front bumper was dropped 4” which makes
a huge difference with its silhouette along with how it lines up to the custom tube grill. the photos are before it
was fully dropped & aligned…the video shows how it currently sits. the headlights are brand new with a crazy
pearlescent finish no-one does.
paint: the video was mainly taken to try to capture the paint. no camera can really capture how special this
is…you truly have to see it in person. the base is a Cobalt blue metallic with two flakes laid on top. the first
is a translucent purple/teal/blue/iridescent flake that really shows itself off in the shadows and shade. it looks
like a deep ocean or starry night…but then in the sun, the second flake, is a silver base with rainbow flip-flop
properties that shift in the light. the overall pop, sparkle, and depth is pretty amazing and really works with the
roof/dash and interior. it’s wild but not obnoxious…turned out better than expected, to say the least.
roof: the roof & dash were flaked & paneled by Tyler Pullen in South San Francisco…it’s a true work of art.
wheels: one-off custom built for this car with never before done backspacing, in full chrome. also unique is
running these center caps let alone an artillery wheel on a bellflower car, also with subtle beauty rings that add
detail to lips. BFG radial white walls are practically brand new.
glass: the windshield sign is hand painted in white enamel with metallic gold accents on the exterior. all glass is
flawless and brand new. all side glass has fully rebuilt chrome trim, rubbers, and fuzzy’s. all doors, hood, and
trunk weather tripping is brand new and intact including bumpers, stops, spacers, and all misc. OE rubber parts on
the car.
suspension: it’s all custom with heavy duty mounts & bags. it was just fully wired & plumbed with a height-sensor
based management system. it allows for 3 pre-sets and full manual 4 corner adjustment. the height sensors are Bosch
brand, quality parts that account for added weight and is much more accurate than a pressure based system. has
real-time monitoring for auto-adjustment/correction. same exact technology as Accuair, but a new company we are
working with to help come to market. solid CNC billet controller, manifold and ECU. car has dual compressors,
running 15 gallons (3 x 5 gallon tanks) of air, all hidden behind the false walls in the trunk

Buick Riviera Concept hits the floor in Shanghai
Sat, 20 Apr 2013Here we have a concept in the true sense of the term. The Buick Riviera you see here - the name of which was last used in production back in 1999 - is said to preview Buick's future styling direction, which means we should expect to see more flowing body shapes to go along with new versions of the marque's classic waterfall grille design. Oh, and we don't believe there's a single porthole in sight.
Powered by Buick's so-called dual-mode wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion system (we'll stick with the W-PHEV acronym) that allows the car to be charged wirelessly just by driving atop a special charging mat on the ground, the car's powertrain is just as futuristic as its exterior shape.
Other high-tech bits include holographic projections on the windshield showing the driver what's around him, with input coming from 10 high-res cameras and 18 micro high-precision sensors. The car also sports 4G wireless connectivity so that its occupants are always connected.
Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel
Thu, 04 Apr 2013General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.
2024 Buick Envista First Drive Review: Budget belle
Tue, Jul 11 2023ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Want an affordable small crossover that looks and feels good, might even impress your passengers, and wonÂ’t make your eyes go cross while configuring one online? BuickÂ’s got a new one for you, and itÂ’s pretty slick. The 2024 Buick Envista starts below $25,000, and in a world of rampant inflation, it actually lives up to what you thought that much money could get you a few years ago. You should be pleasantly surprised with what you get — just donÂ’t ask for all-wheel drive or an engine upgrade. To these eyes, the Envista looks good from all angles. While the refresh of the Buick Encore GX for the 2024 model year was the first production vehicle to use design elements inspired by the Buick Wildcat EV concept, the Envista marks the “first complete expression” of that new design language, as Buick design boss Bob Boniface put it. No, itÂ’s not a two-door coupe like the Wildcat, and it still doesnÂ’t have the WildcatÂ’s electric powertrain, but those looks translate even better to a new vehicle designed from the ground up. It has the pointy nose, the high, wing-like headlights and the new tri-shield Buick logo that also made its way onto the Encore. But the Envista has a swept-back profile, with the roofline giving way to a toned-down example of rear shoulders flaring out over the wheels. The nicely tucked rear end is home to lighting that better matches the units up front. ItÂ’s lower and sleeker than the Encore, putting itself more visually at the car end of the crossover spectrum, while the GX leans more toward SUV. And youÂ’ll get a more carlike drive from the Envista, too. ThereÂ’s only one powertrain: a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder powering the front wheels. ThereÂ’s no AWD option here, and no four-cylinder. Not even a 1.3-liter upgrade like in the Encore GX. There is a traditional automatic transmission with only six forward gears, and no dreaded CVT in sight. ThereÂ’s very little you could do on the order sheet to change the way the Envista drives — pick a version with the upgraded rear suspension that Buick claims provides a more superior ride (a Watts link for those who care) or change up the wheel size, maybe — but certainly not in terms of what drives the wheels. You get 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque in the Envista, figures that are awfully low these days, but that we also found perfectly suited to this mission.
