Up for Bidding today is my Father's 1987 Buick Regal Turbo-T or T-Type as some may call it. This is a Genuine 3 owner car that has not had the normal life most of these cars went through. It never was a street racer, weekend warrior, or some spoiled kids toy that got beat on a daily basis. I am a close friend with the second owner and was best friends with the third owner ( my 77 year old Father) who passed away on Veterans Day 2011 (11-11-11). Since he passed I have driven the car to a handful of car shows and cruise nights just to keep it exercised and to remember my father with my two sons. This car had one complete repaint about 14 years ago and still looks very nice. there are no scratches, scrapes or any other notable blemishes in the paint or body that I am aware of. All the black trim is still in nice shape and the bumpers still shine well with no dings or dents. Even the bumper fillers are still in excellent shape for their age, but that is what happens when the car is GARAGED from day it rolled off the dealers lot. Interior is all original as far as I know except the headliner and sun visors which we had professionally recovered 4 years ago. The drivers seat cushion on the r/h side has a small 1/8" defect in it ( barely noticeable ) and the t- top trim has 3 small cracks in the plastic on the ends,  otherwise it is very nice. The carpet looks like it might have been replaced at one time because it is so clean but the original design heel pad is there so it might have an OEM GM piece used. The car is equipped with Concert Sound II and a power antenna that still works. I have replaced the rear speakers and the door speakers but the original dash ones still remain. Mechanically it retains its original drivetrain as far as I can see, no replacement parts tags or anything out of place, original g80 limited slip rear that works well. All factory braces and brackets appear to be in place. No exhaust leaks, engine is dry and transmission is also. It has a replacement catalytic converter on it and aftermarket stainless steel dual exhaust (very very nice). Has KYB gas adjust shocks at all 4 corners, Wheels are in nice shape, no bends or curbings but the clear is getting thin in some areas around the edges. Tires are not the stock sizes has bigs and littles on it for a neat stance, some may like it, some may not, but the tires are in excellent shape so why change them until they need to be. Has original spare tire in trunk with all hardware for the jack unused and accounted for. Everything in the car works as it should, all lights and accessories function as designed, no cracks in the lenses etc. Seatbelts are all present and function as designed. I think I thought of everything but I will probably add to the description over the course of the auction, any Questions ? Feel free to contact me thru Ebay and I will answer them asap, thanks Greg

I would like to run this auction once, So with that said please have your funds available and in place and ask your significant other for permission if you need to. I've heard all of the excuses. No bidders from Zimbabwe or Nigeria or any other scam artist location. Funds must be either electronically transferred into my bank account, legit cashiers check or Dead Presidents (cash) before I will release the car to you or your shipper, that's it no ifs, ands, or buts, Period. I would not hesitate to drive this car cross country in a heartbeat, that's how confident I am in its condition and history. Please don't bid if you are below a 5 positive feedback, I will cancel your bid, contact me first to discuss this. If you are local to me you are welcome to come over and check it out in person. This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction anytime since it is for sale in other locations. thanks, Greg

Here are all the cars GM is axing as part of its restructuring

Tue, Nov 27 2018

GM plans to kill off a couple of great and a few meh cars as part of its restructuring. Here's a rundown of all the cars being phased out of production. None of the vehicles GM axed were SUVs or crossovers. Instead, it was an action reminiscent of what Ford recently decided to do by discontinuing U.S. sales every Blue Oval sedan. GM just didn't explicitly say, "We're killing our cars," like Ford did — probably a smart move by GM. Keep scrolling down to see the full list of deceased GM models. Chevrolet Volt This one was the most surprising of all the cars GM decided to can, primarily because cars with plugs are supposed to be our future. However, maybe consumer demand just isn't quite there yet for a plug-in like the Volt. We came up with all sorts of ideas for what was to blame for the untimely demise of the Volt, so go check that out for a full breakdown of the situation. Cadillac CT6 Here's another car we'll be sad to see go. Cadillac's flagship sedan was such a joy to drive, and it served as the conduit to deliver GM's semi-autonomous Super Cruise system, which still hasn't been surpassed by any other company's technology in our books, even Tesla's Autopilot. That being said, GM does plan to produce the CT6 until March, with the last cars coming off the line set to be twin-turbo V8 V-Series models. If it's going to go, this seems like a pretty great way to make an exit. We'll be patiently awaiting the next flagship Cadillac once this one finally fades away. Chevrolet Impala The Impala is actually a pretty good car. It doesn't sell terribly, and we think it's a completely satisfactory car to drive. However, people would rather have a Traverse or Equinox these days, making the Impala one of the vehicles to find itself on this list. Chevrolet is keeping its smaller brother, the Malibu, but a big, full-size sedan just isn't what people are ordering up these days. It's unfortunate to see it go, but we won't be broken up over it. Chevrolet Cruze We wouldn't rank the Cruze at the top of the compact car class, but if you were looking for a small, cheap American car, it was either this or the Focus. The Cruze had the potential to be a true small performance car if Chevy had ever wanted to make it into one. But sadly, we're seeing it bow out before Chevy ever tried to slot a hot engine and suspension in there to make it competitive with other hot hatches. A Cruze SS would have made enthusiasts take notice.

GM to idle car production at five factories as Americans continue CUV love affair

Mon, Dec 19 2016

In case you needed another reminder that Americans have fallen out of love with sedans, General Motors today announced plans to idle five factories in January in a bid to cut its inventory to 70 days. Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly ( Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Chevrolet Volt and Impala) and Fairfax Assembly in Kansas ( Chevy Malibu) will stop production for three weeks. Lansing Grand River ( Cadillac ATS and CTS, and Chevy Camaro) is going down for two weeks, while Lordstown, OH ( Chevy Cruze) and Bowling Green, KY ( Chevy Corvette) will go idle for a week each, Automotive News reports. GM's shutdown reflects a broader problem with the company's supply – at 847,000 vehicles, the company's supply increased unsteadily from a low of 629,000 units in January of 2016. That's more than a 25 percent increase in the past year. Citing information from Autodata, The Detroit News reports that at the end of November, GM had a 168-day supply of LaCrosses, 177 days' worth of Camaro, 170 days of Corvette, 121 days for Cruze, 119 days for ATS, 132 days for CTS, and 110 days of CT6. Meanwhile, inventory of the company's more popular vehicles is actually below the professionally accepted 60- to 70-day supply, The News reports. The Trax, Colorado pickup, and GM's full-size SUVs are sitting below 50 days and experiencing year-over-year sales increases. GM needs a rethink of its inventory levels, which is something that's apparently coming. "We're going to be responsible in managing our inventory levels," GM spokesman Jim Cain told The News. Another unnamed spokesman told Automotive News the company's day-to-day supplies would "fluctuate before moderating at year-end." But at least one analyst thinks this won't be the last time Detroit needs to stop production to level things out. "Incentives are elevated, residuals are declining, and rates are rising," Brian Johnson, an analyst with Barclays, told The News. "And while GM in particular may benefit in the months ahead from new product launches, it's important to recognize that GM's inventory is elevated at the moment, and it wouldn't surprise us if they need to announce another production cut – which could pressure the stock." 2017 Buick LaCrosse an evolution of sharp Avenir concept

Wed, Nov 18 2015

After years as a bloated, uninspiring, but comfortable near-premium sedan, Buick has taken the wraps off a leaner, lither, far more stylish LaCrosse. The third-generation model has just made its debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show. While there's a lot to talk about, let's first address the new, Avenir-inspired sheetmetal. The fascia is basically the concept car smoothed over into production form, featuring the same winged trishield. In place of the chrome-trimmed waterfall, the LaCrosse gets a blacked-out, recessed grille with a chrome surround. It looks good in photos but it's better in person, adding a real sense of complexity and depth to the front end. The headlights and lower fascia, meanwhile, adhere closely to the concept. The same cannot be said of the LaCrosse's tail. While the taillight lighting pattern is similar, the overall shape of the lighting element is radically different, refining the design featured on the back of the Regal. Also gone, sadly, is the Avenir's boattail rear deck. Instead, the LaCrosse gets a small rear deck that curves up into a pleasant duckbill spoiler. The rest of the tail is pleasantly restrained. Perhaps the weakest point is the profile, where Buick has instituted a "split-spear" design, featuring a strong shoulder line above the rear wheel well, which sits below an even stronger character line that curves down and towards the front of the car. It strikes us as just a little too much, like the Impala. Underneath that sheetmetal, Buick has managed to trim nearly 300 pounds of body fat, nearly half of which came from the vehicle's actual structure. That 300 lbs, according to Buick's engineers, is equivalent to a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator, in case you needed a helpful comparison. Despite the weight savings, Buick has upped the torsional rigidity for this new model by 15 percent. The LaCrosse's cabin features a strong, cockpit-like design, with a high, floating-bridge center console. This is possible due to Buick's adaption of the Electronic Precision Shift system, introduced earlier this month on the new Cadillac XT5. Despite the new-fangled console design, Buick's retained the wraparound cabin style introduced on the second-gen model. Based on a quick crawl around the interior, space is great in front, although ingress in back is somewhat difficult due to the roofline. You're probably wondering why we haven't said anything about the mechanicals just yet.
