Staten Island, New York, United States

IM SELLING ONE OF MY WELL KEPT TREASURES FROM MY COLLECTION. UNFORTUNATELY WITH TWO HARLEYS, 4 OTHER CONVERTIBLES INCLUDING A 1967 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE, A BOAT 4 KIDS, ETC.ETC. I HAVE NOT TAKEN THIS CAR OUT FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR OR SO, SINCE LAST YEAR. IM NOT USING IT ENOUGH, AND I DONT WANT ALL MY HARD WORK TO GO TO WASTE.

THIS 1969 BUICK ELECTRA CONVERTIBLE HAS WORKING FACTORY AIR-CONDITIONING. POWER DRUM BRAKES. POWER BENCH SEAT. HI-POWER SOUND SYSTEM, WITH A SMALL SUB-WOOFER IN THE TRUNK. THE 430 CID MOTOR RUNS PERFECT. SOUNDS GREAT ALSO, ESPECIALLY AFTER THE $1000 DUAL EXHAUST SYSTEM I INSTALLED TWO YEARS AGO.

IT HAS A BRAND NEW TOP, INSTALLED TWO YEARS AGO WHEN I REDID THE CAR. $1500. IT WAS ALSO REPAINTED AT THE SAME TIME AT THE COST OF $5800. ( I HAVE ENCLOSED TWO PICTURES SHOWING THE SMALL IMPERFECTIONS APPEARING RECENTLY IN THE PAINT.)

THE VOGUE TIRES YOU SEE ON THE CAR WERE NEW 2 YEARS AGO AS WELL. THE RIMS WERE NEW AT THE SAME TIME. HOWEVER, TO BE FAIR, THEY ARE STARTING TO PIT JUST A BIT. I LEFT THEM ON THE CAR THIS WINTER WHEN I PUT IT AWAY FOR THE WINTER. DONT GET ME WRONG, THEY STILL LOOK GREAT. THESE WHEELS AND TIRES COST ME $1200.  I DO HAVE A SET OF WINTER WHEELS THAT I USUALLY STORE THE CAR AWAY WITH. THEY WILL ALSO BE GIVEN WITH THE CAR. (SEE PICTURES)  ALSO, I JUST RECENTLY CAME ACROSS A TILT COLUMN FOR THIS CAR. I WAS GOING TO INSTALL IT, BUT I DONT WANT TO DELAY POSTING THIS CAR ANY LONGER. I DONT THINK IT WILL SELL TOO WELL IF I WAIT MUCH LONGER.

THIS CAR IT CURRENTLY INSURED WITH MET LIFE, THROUGH CONDON AND SKELLY CLASSIC AUTO INSURANCE, FOR AN AGREED VALUE OF $18,000.00. I HAVE QUITE BIT OF MONEY IN THIS CAR. I PAY $118 A YEAR FOR THIS FULL COVERAGE, WITH 2500 MILES OF USAGE A YEAR. I DONT EVEN PUT 1000 MILES A YEAR.

THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD NO RESERVE AND NO HOLDING BACK. TOP BIDDER WINS! AS WITH ALL MY AUCTIONS. (CHECK MY IMPECCABLE FEEDBACK) I WILL NOT COMPROMISE MY E-BAY INTEGRITY TO STOP THE SALE FOR ANY OFFER. (PLEASE DONT ASK) MY PROMISE TO YOU IS THAT YOU WILL GET A SUPER NICE VEHICLE  AT A GREAT PRICE. I WILL WORK WITH YOU ON SHIPPING. DELIVERING IT TO YOUR SHIPPER. AND HELPING YOU ORGANIZE THE WHOLE PROCESS.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME- KEITH 646-226 5550. I WOULD LOVE THE OPPOTUNITY TO BRAGG ON THIS GREAT MACHINE! OR EVEN BETTER, PLEASE COME AND VISIT IT BEFORE THE AUCTION SO YOU CAN GET TO KNOW IT FOR YOURSELF.

THANK YOU, AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!

Opel Cascada is Europe's Buick convertible [w/video]

Wed, 17 Oct 2012

As we reported earlier, there has been much speculation regarding a Buick convertible of sorts. The most ringing endorsement of this conjecture comes today from General Motors Europe, as the new Opel Cascada has debuted on the interwebs. Opel calls the four-passenger Cascada an "athletic, glamorous midsize convertible." With a length of 4,697mm (185 in.), the Cascada is as long as an Audi A5, to which GM has said it would be slightly larger.
The Cascada, which is Spanish for waterfall, features a cloth convertible top that retracts in 17 seconds and at speeds up to 50 km/h (31 mph). The Cascada features a 1.4-liter turbo gas engine, 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 165 horsepower and a range-topping 1.6-liter turbocharged Ecotec engine that puts out 170 horsepower and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft). Power is sent through either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
According to GM, the Cascada will also come rife with luxury and tech features. In addition to adaptive forward lighting and ergonomic heated front seats, the convertible will feature Opel Eye, which is a front camera that can recognize traffic signs and incorporates lane departure warning and forward collision alert.

GM laying off 510 amidst slow Cadillac, small car sales

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

General Motors is laying off about 510 workers from two factories beginning in January, and it could be months before the automaker needs some of that latent capacity to come back on line. A combination of poor sales and high dealer inventories are prompting the cutbacks, according to Automotive News.
The largest changes come at GM's Lansing Grand River plant, where the Cadillac ATS and CTS are made. An entire shift of about 350 workers is being laid off, but the automaker hopes to find positions for some of them at other nearby factories. The decision leaves just a single shift building vehicles there. According to Automotive News, the move is partially spurred by Johan de Nysschen's plan to make Cadillac a more exclusive brand.
The lost shift will likely return for production of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro at the plant, according to the report, but GM isn't saying when that will be. A previous announcement from the Canadian Auto Workers union indicated that the Oshawa, Ontario, factory would lose the coupe in late 2015 or early 2016.

Cadillac, Buick and Chevy decisions impacted by worries abroad

European Concerns Drive GM, But Beware Of The French Connection
GM's bid to rationalize Europe will impact the products that will be offered domestically.
It seems that Europe is defining the future of General Motors more so than its home North American market. Having axed Saturn, Pontiac and Hummer, GM has done a fairly good job of repositioning its remaining four divisions, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Cadillac carries the luxury banner. Chevrolet is aimed at the masses with cars and trucks along with a nod to performance thanks to Camaro and Corvette. Buick bridges the premium gap between Chevy and Cadillac, while GMC offers a hardcore work/upscale proposition.
