Up for auction is a all original 1964 Buick Electra 225 4 dr. post sedan with original 52,000 miles. I do not have a title but I can write up a bill of sale.

Condition is original looks to have original paint. body is decent some rust issues in the rocker panels, floors, and trunk but not major and some rust issues in the skirts but I bought a new rust free skirt for the passenger side and the driver side can still be fixed.  No rust in the fenders or doors and the quarter just have some light rust issues, most of the main floors are fine just a couple holes and the trunk is mostly solid just for the usual holes near the rear inner fenders and back by the taillights, the battery tray is still there some light rust issues and some light rust in the front inner fenders, bumpers are both nice with decent chrome and all the trim is on the car and is in good shape, the deck lid has a larger dent in it and the rear tail panel is cracked by the dent, The windshield does have a crack but all the rest of the glass is in nice shape.

Interior is complete but does have some rips in the front seat and a couple small holes in the back, the door panels are fine, will need new carpet, most of the dash is  complete the wiper switch is taken out but is in the glove box and the glove box door does not shut I think the hinge is broke.

Engine does run but it is knocking will need rebuild before you can drive it, transmission seems fine does go into gear when put into gear, this car was on the road until last fall when the engine started knocking so the brakes and exhaust are fine and the tires are decent although the passenger side front tire does lose air.

As you can see this car will need a total restoration but it is a nice original low mileage to start with. Great car to fix up and make a low rider or rat rod or just ride as is.  Email me or call me at 414-405-8020 with any further questions I will try to answer the to the best of my knowledge, thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Thu, May 22 2014

A brand new season of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee on the way - it will involve Seinfeld and comedian Robert Klein going to Sing Sing Correctional Facility in what appears to be a Jaguar Mark II - and the trailer is out now. In addition to Klein there'll be appearances by Sarah Jessica Parker, George Wallace, Aziz Ansari and John Stewart. We don't get to see all the rides, but a Buick Riviera GS gets some airtime and the 1949 Porsche 356/2 Gmund from the segment with Jay Leno makes a cameo. 2015 Buick Verano offered with six-speed manual after all

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

Good news, boys and girls (well, at least those of you who still like shifting for yourselves). Buick got in touch with us to correct some information that it had mistakenly announced; namely, that the 2015 Verano will lose its optional six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, that announcement was incorrect, and the compact sedan will indeed continue to offer a manual option for 2015, despite what we're certain is a low take rate. Additionally, the Desert Dusk Metallic paint that was said to come as part of an Appearance Package is no longer part of the deal. With that out of the way, we now return you to your regularly scheduled automotive-obsessive broadcast...

Buick boss shuts down idea of importing Opel Adam

Wed, Mar 30 2016

Anyone hoping for Buick to sell small city cars in America, you're not going to like this story. Buick boss Duncan Aldred has effectively ruled out importing the stylish Opel Adam city car for US drivers. Yep, this is us being bummed. Admittedly, the business case for Adam is not as strong as it used to be. Gas is cheap and consumers have fallen back in love with the idea of high-riding crossovers instead of efficient cars. That's why Buick sold twice as many teeny, tiny Encore CUVs in 2015 as it did its smallest car, the Verano. With that in mind, slotting in another car, let alone one below the Verano, isn't a great idea. Of course, Aldred didn't come out and say as much, even though he campaigned for a US-market Adam in the past. "I very much did feel when I came over that that could really help accelerate the Buick brand story," the executive told Automotive News at last week's New York Auto Show. "I don't see that as much. Whether the market shifted or the fashion nature of those cars has changed, I don't know. But I wouldn't be looking for a small, B-segment car today." That, friends, is a real bummer. Adding a car like the Adam, even in a small, captive-import capacity would add a real dose of fun to Buick showrooms and (we're guessing) would bring in younger foot traffic. Related Video:
