Greetings to All!! imotors is pleased to present yet another unique Bentley for your motoring pleasure. This is a 1985 Mulsanne SWB Saloon. It is Quite lovely, and a wonderful opportunity to own a very desirable, pampered example that you will be Proud of. This one is quite Elegant, especially in the Exquisite Silver over Black Coachwork, with Black hides, piped Gray.....very unique, and absolutely Magnificent. I think it is quite striking!!! This Beautiful Bentley Mulsanne has only traveled 99,300 miles since new, which is about 3,000 miles per year....low low miles for any pre-owned car. In 1981 the Rolls Royce Sliver Spirit and Bentley Eight/Mulsanne along with the LWB Silver Spur were introduced. These cars were the first "All New Modern Rolls Royce" since the introduction of the Silver Shadow in 1966...15 years before!!. The entire car was re-designed cosmetically, and brought Rolls Royce Motors right into the "Next Generation". Besides having an entirely new look about them, some of the most noteworthy improvements are an entirely new braking system, with mineral oil, and of course a much more sophisticated suspension, with gas spheres in the rear, for a smoother ride, and better handling. Also Fuel injection was added, for better performance, and of course, dependability. What is nice about the 1985 model is that it has all of the updates of the "SZ" series cars, such as an updated suspension system and the refined version of the famous Rolls Royce Two Level Air Conditioning System for maximum interior comfort. There are also updated power seat controls and easy to use power mirror controls. Progress is evident with the newly designed climate controls, switchbox, and more luxurious interior appointments. This elegant body style lasted right up to 1998(17 years), when the V-8(BMW powered) Arnage Green Label was introduced. This one is Especially nice, and looks much newer than it really is!!! Original cost in 1985 was about $15,000.00. Replacement cost today is over $400,000.00!!!
Please keep in mind that this is a 30 year old Bentley that is not "flawless" or "mint". If you want a "show car" or a "perfect" example this is not the one. This is a WONDERFUL Mulsanne that runs and drives beautifully. I have driven it several hundred miles and it has been an absolute pleasure. The 6.75 litre light alloy Fuel Injected V8 runs great and the 3 speed Automatic transmission shifts ever so smoothly. It stands tall and proud and will give years of pleasure to the lucky winning bidder. I will do the best that I can to describe it's actual condition, which is quite lovely. There are about 50 photos below, so you can take a tour of the entire car...from outside to inside, even the trunk and the engine compartments are shown, along with many of the wonderful features....please take the time to let all of the photographs load, we're sure that you will be just delighted. If you have any questions or need more info please don't hesitate to ask. As with all classic and collectible vehicles this Wonderful Rolls Royce is being Sold without warranty. Carfax tells us that this particular example has had the same owner since 2001. It appears to be in Excellent condition, and is sheer heaven to own and drive. Everything is in proper working order(except the cruise control). All four of the electric window lifts, including the central locking system work as designed, although typically a little sluggish on the way up. The climate control has been serviced, and the Split Level" air conditioning blows ice cold. It's now ready to be enjoyed by the next Lucky Owner! THIS IS THE ONE!!! The four Almost new Goodyear Eagle radial tyres just add to the already fabulous and unique Rolls Royce feel. We have just had our Expert Rolls Royce technician, Alex change the oil and filter (Castrol GTX 20/50 of course) and perform a safety inspection. Both brake pumps were serviced, and new seals were fitted, along with a new set of sparking plugs and wires. We replaced the Distributor cap, and rotor. Both valve cover gaskets are new, along with both Brake accumulator spheres, and both rear gas spring spheres. We fitted new compliance mounts, along with a fresh thermostat. It has brand new Pa safety and emissions inspections. It has been fully detailed by the famous Attention to Detail Services" and is ready for your excitement. We have all of the books and Manuals. There are service records from the last owner of 12 years. The large and small tools are present, along with the plush Mouton overlays. There are two keys. This is a very rare opportunity to own one of the finest driving Bentley saloons available in the world. It is mechanically and cosmetically in wonderful condition and will give the lucky winning bidder many years of enjoyment. Bentley helped a customer outfit a yacht to match their Continental GT
Wed, Jun 9 2021Luxury automakers continue to expand into new areas and offer new services to provide their clients custom, high-end products. Sometimes that involves fancy apartments or garages. In the case of this Bentley Continental GT buyer, they wanted their new yacht to match their nautical-themed luxury coupe. So, Bentley and yacht-builder Contest Yachts obliged. The yacht is a 59-foot Contest 59 CS, and the Continental GT is the V8 variant. The car features a dark blue exterior and "Hotspur" red leather, "Linen" quilted leather and light-stained wood trim in the interior. The yacht features nearly the same specification with a slightly different paint color on the outside, but actual leather sourced from Bentley to trim the interior. The wood used for the bed, cabinetry and other parts of the yacht's cabin closely match the car's trim, too. Bentley says this is a one-off, and indeed, you're likely not going to see another pairing exactly like this. But we suspect that as long a client is willing to put forth the undisclosed amount of money, they would happily collaborate with Contest or another company to custom match a car and a yacht. We wouldn't be surprised if they'd be willing to help match more things, like a private jet and a car. Just have a big enough pocketbook and the options are just about limitless. Related video:
Bentley names new CEO for the Americas
Tue, Jan 27 2015Bentley has announced a shift in its upper ranks that will see Michael Winkler take the reins as head of its operations in the Americas. A longtime sales executive and regional manager, Winkler has worked for Porsche in locations around the world, and comes to Bentley from his previous position as director of Australian operations for Jaguar Land Rover. In his new capacity as president and CEO of Bentley Motors Inc. – the office responsible for handling the brand's operations across the Americas – Winkler will report to Kevin Rose, the Bentley board member for sales and marketing. Winkler succeeds Christophe Georges, who moves back to the head office as director of product and marketing. The British automaker has 53 dealerships across the Americas, accounting for 29 percent of its global sales last year. Its American operations are based at 2200 Ferdinand Porsche Drive in Herndon, VA. MICHAEL WINKLER NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO OF BENTLEY MOTORS INC. (Crewe/Herndon 26th January 2015) Bentley Motors today announced that Michael Winkler will become President and Chief Executive Officer of Bentley Motors Inc., the regional office for Bentley Motors in the Americas, with effect from 1st April 2015. He succeeds Christophe Georges, who was recently appointed Director of Product and Marketing for Bentley's global organisation. Winkler will report directly to Kevin Rose, Bentley's Member of the Board for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales. Rose commented: "The Americas region plays a key part in Bentley's global success, our biggest market with more Bentley customers than anywhere else in the world. I am delighted to welcome Michael to Bentley, and look forward to working with him to drive our brand and network presence further." Winkler has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, holding a number of international positions, working with Porsche in Germany, North America and Australia, and joins Bentley from Jaguar Land Rover, where he held the position of Managing Director of the company's Australian division. The Americas remained Bentley's number one market throughout 2014, closing the year delivering 3,186 cars, up from the 2013 number of 3,140. This accounted for 29% of total global deliveries. There are 53 Bentley dealerships throughout the Americas, with the corporate headquarters based in Herndon, Virginia.

With a starting price of $235,000, it's not what you'd typically consider a "daily driver," but as we find out, this Bentley is indeed a car you could happily live with every single day. This is senior editor Steven Ewing with another Daily Driver video. I'm in a car today that you wouldn't necessarily consider to be a daily driver by the normal logic. I'm driving the $235,000 2015 Bentley Continental GT Speed Coupe. Now, as its name would suggest with the word "speed" in there at the end, this is an incredibly powerful and incredibly quick car. [00:00:30] It's powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine that makes about 626 horsepower and about 606 pound-feet of torque. As you can see, it is a seriously quick car. 0 to 60 is estimated to happen in about four seconds, and this thing will top out at over 205 miles per hour. It's not just the off the line acceleration, [00:01:00] it's how much power is available while you're already at speed. I'm on the freeway right now and just with a light tap of the throttle there's just this massive wave of torque that comes on. It's just smooth, seamless, it's effortless. It's really, really fun. You can really get it going hot into a corner, let it hug it, and it really just grips. It's got a ton of power. [00:01:30] It's a really nice-handling car. A lot of people tend to think of Bentleys as being cars that you're driven in. You picture a Mulsanne pulling up with a chauffeur, but that's not the case with the Continental. In fact, Bentley's done a lot of work in recent years to drive home the point that the Continental is the driver's car. You look at things like the GT V8 S, which is one of my favorite Bentleys they've ever produced, where it's a car that despite its heft and its size and all of that, it's [00:02:00] still pretty involving. The chassis tuning is really good. The steering's pretty good. It's actually a good to drive car. On top of that, it's incredibly quiet in here.
