This is a family owned car ordered new for my mother by my father for her 80th birthday. It was ordered with everything and the sticker was over 180k. We decided the car was too much for her when my father died. I decided to buy it and had it shipped to my home, here in Palm Springs and I rarely drive it. I spent about 25k on replacing the front end with the 2008 "Speed" front end, and rear panel with tips. I had the ECM remapped and it now has over 700 BHP and over 799 Ft Lbs. I have even put in the $2,000.00 Speed suspension module to make it a virtual "GT SPEED". You must be careful, as all four wheels will spin even with the traction control on. I bought the Mulliner Drilled Pedals and shift knob as well, and upgraded the clock to the newer version. It has always been serviced by Bentley on a yearly basis and I just had a very extensive service done at Desert European 300 miles ago. I have had all fluids replaced and even had the brakes serviced. The car came with the factory chrome 19" wheels, however I decided to update the look of the car by adding the longer front end as on the 2008 Speed version. I also bought a new set of 20" Speed wheels and correct "B" Bentley Pirelli tires. Even though this car was ordered with the lambs wool mats, I ordered a brand new set and do not put my shoes on them. I do not allow anyone to sit in the car but myself, and when at the dealer I am the one that drives it into the service bay. I do not want my leather to look horrible and wrinkled like most of these do. It has a factory Sirus XM radio, factory Bentley Nokia phone, all three keys ( I removed the tabs on the ends to keep them straight, so I knew which key was the master). I never let anyone else drive the car and the only other person that did, was my mother. When I bought the car I got .09% financing, so I didn't think it was smart to give up my money ( to purchase it outright) as long as I could buy the car on the "Banks Dime". The only other mechanical work that has ever been done besides the regular services, was the replacement of the Navigation unit which cost $2,800.00; the replacement of the blend air door motors which was an additional $1,800.00, plus the $2,000.00 suspension module that I had put in. Those are the three services you will see on the full brand new CarFax at the bottom of this listing. Please note that the car was "bumped" on the LH rear bumper, while parked with my mother sitting in the car by a woman visiting Boca Raton. This woman was backing her rental car out of it's parking space and her front bumper rubber rubbed against the edge of the Bentley's bumper. Since, the car was a rental, my mother was "in a panic", so she called for the Police. A report was made simply because it was required by the Rental Car Company, though no damage was done (when I got the car I did notice a little black streak on the edge of the rear bumper, I used 3M Finesse-it compound and the spot was gone). I have since had the entire car color sanded and polished to a "Piano-like" finish. It has no dents, dings or defects in the paint whatsoever. This car has never been on a freeway.... therefore, NONE of the paint, glass, headlamps or "Jewelry" has any pits or chips. My Ebay reputation speaks for itself. I am a Virgo and I am true to my personality. Perfection or nothing. The headliner is not falling down like most all I have seen, and the seatbelts look like they have NEVER been used. The seats are perfect, not wrinkled or crushed as happens to so many of these cars. The interior of this car smells absolutely brand new, just as it did when it left the factory; It has NEVER been smoked in, and NO perfumes or " hands with lotions" have ever touched the inside of this car. The trunk has never been used and it even comes with the optional factory battery tender. All books, keys and pamphlets are present and accounted for. This is a turn key car and I promise that you will never locate one better than this.... there just aren't any finer. Unless told otherwise, you would think this was a 2010 GT SPEED!!! People comment especially on how much they love this color; which was also a special ordered color which cost an additional $6,400.00 (It matched my mothers eyes)In conclusion, I have over $150,000.00 invested in this car, though I do realize, high end cars such as these are not investments.... they are pure "Indulgence". If you want a "TURN-KEY" car that is also a "showpiece". then this is the car for you. I am selling this car at a massive loss, and any reasonable offer will be considered. I must make room for the, new Mercedes CL 65, I just purchased and the Bentley must go. I only have room for so many cars and if one comes in... sadly, one must go. It's that simple. Please feel free to ask me any question after reading all the information in the above text. 2020 Bentley Continental GT V8 First Drive Review | 8 is the new baker's dozen

Wed, Jun 26 2019

Certain objects are so well known for arriving in groups of twelve that their dodecameralism is almost presumed. This list includes eggs, donuts, roses, inches, hours, months, human ribs, days of Christmas and, correlatively, drummers drumming. We can add to that group the number of cylinders under the hood of a contemporary Bentley. Since 2003, when the venerable British brand rolled out its modern Continental GT, it has sold more than 70,000 of these models, a notable number with an inventive, twin-turbocharged 12-cylinder engine, arrayed in a W configuration. Unfortunately, the flying-B brand has been having some difficulty meeting certification requirements for its alluring, all-new, 12-cylinder-equipped Continental GT coupe and convertible, which have yet to appear in the States, despite a full two years having lapsed since their unveiling. Fortunately, to stem the tide of demand, the crew from Crewe has certified a version of the Porsche-designed 542-horsepower, 568 pound-feet 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 from the Panamera for use in their new two-door, backed up by an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. It will be available for purchase here, this fall — before it is offered to any other market — by those with 220,000 spare dollars. Even more fortunate, we just had the chance to drive it through the coastal, mountainous and curvy vineyard regions of Northern California, and we can assure you that, while we still believe Bentley GTs deserve twelve cylinders, eight is the new baker's dozen. Unless you've spent extended time piloting the Continental GT W12 through some of the most beautiful mountainous regions of Europe and America, as we have, you might not notice the one-third reduction in cylinders, or the 84-horsepower depreciation in output. According to Bentley, the less powerful but lighter motor adds only 0.2 seconds to the 0-60 run (3.8 versus 3.6 for the coupe, 3.9 versus 3.7 for the convertible) not enough of a differential to tip our own internal accelerometer. It also foregoes cresting 200 mph like its bigger brother can, not that there's anywhere you can hit these speeds safely in America anyway. The V8 also, as referenced above, subtracts a couple hundred pounds from the total weight of the GT, not that this matters all that much in a vehicle that weighs 2.5 tons, but it does take a modicum of gravitational pressure off the front axle. Is it noticeable on first blush?

Baby Bentley studied for 2020, but it might not be cheaper

Sun, 09 Mar 2014

Bentley may step down a segment with a new, smaller luxury car that it hopes to have ready by 2019. The British luxury marque's fifth model line, assuming that its SUV ever makes it to market, though, is still in the earliest planning stages.
Kevin Rose, Bentley's head of sales and marketing, spoke with Autocar at the Geneva Motor Show about the proposed new vehicle. "At the moment, our line of thinking is for a smaller car. But smaller doesn't necessarily mean cheaper," he said. The brand believes the price floor of its models should be 100,000 pounds ($167,240).
The smaller Flying B isn't the only project being worked on. Rose hinted that it is considering an even more expensive model above the Mulsanne priced at around 300,000 pounds ($501,735) that would compete with the Rolls-Royce Phantom. "The twin pillars of the Bentley brand are performance and luxuriousness. Any car that offers something unique, with both of those bases well covered, is on the table," he said.

Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 coming, but not before hotter CUV

Mon, Nov 30 2015

Bentley appears closer than ever to giving the green light for production to the curvaceous EXP 10 Speed 6 concept, but expect to see a hotter, more stylish crossover before the coupe arrives in showrooms. During the Bentayga launch, company CEO Wolfgang Durheimer hinted that both models would be perfect additions to the luxury brand's lineup, according to Car and Driver. The EXP 10 Speed 6's shapely design received glowing reviews when Bentley unveiled it at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and customers prodded the automaker to manufacture the coupe. "We want to build on this and make it a reality," Durheimer told Car and Driver about the positive buzz, but the boss said he couldn't put a production date on the two-seater yet. Durheimer has made positive statements about the EXP 10 Speed 6's production chances before, but it might be 2020 before the coupe goes on sale because the company's board still needs to approve the model. Rumors suggest the possibility of an electric version with 400 to 500 horsepower from tech similar to the Porsche Mission E concept and a more traditional variant with a 600-hp twin-turbo V8. In the nearer term, we could get the first look at Bentley's high-performance crossover as a concept at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March, according to Auto Express. The model allegedly shares the Bentayga's platform but features a revised body with an arching, coupe-like roofline. The company would also add more power to the twin-turbo W12 to match the exterior's more aggressive look. Related Video:
