2005 Bentley Continental GT

41,000 Miles

Silver exterior (Never Hit, No Paint Work Ever)

Burnt Saddle Interior (Flawless)

40k Mile Service just completed. This included all fluids changed, spark plugs changed, all filters changed, ect. cost $4,000

4 Brand New Continental Tires and TPMS Sensors installed at a cost of $2500. TPMS Sensors are not cheap for a Bentley. They have a battery life of 5 years and cost $300 each. This is why every Bentley you see for sale has the TPMS light on.

4 Upper Control Arms installed at a cost of $3,000. These control arms go bad on ALL of these cars at about 30k miles. Don't buy one from a dealer that needs them done. That's why people trade these cars in. TPMS Sensors, 40k mile service and the control arms go bad and cost a arm and a leg to fix.

This car shows several owners, however I moved a few times and it'll show up as a new owner.

I have both keys, all books, manuals, ect. The only deviation from stock is a IPOD interface for the stereo.

This car has never been in any sort of accident nor has it ever been abused or kept anywhere other than a climate controlled garage.

I'm not selling it because I have to, I'd rather use the cash for investment purposes.

Mileage may go up slightly as I do occasionally drive the car.

There are no leins or encumberances on this Bentley.

It's fully serviced and ready to go. Please, no ridiculous offers. I just put over $10,000 in this car to get it fully ready to go. Most of these cars you see for sale on here need TPMS sensors, services and control arms. They are all mostly driving on the original $400 consumer battery. If you don't buy my car, please buy one that has all the "bugs" worked out of it. These cars can get very expensive to service. Saving $5,000 on one off the bat will likely cost you $10,000 in service to get the car to the level this one is at. Also beware that these Bentley GT's have a problem with the cowl are where the computers are get clogged and collect water and erode the wiring harnesses. It's not IF, Its when. This car has had the cowl problem fixed from day one. It's never had any issues.

Please be reasonable in your offers.

This car spent 90% of its life in Southern California

Has a clean PPI and service history. Car is serviced by a Bentley specialist here outside of Chicago and you are more than welcome to discuss the car with him.

Bentley designer calls Lincoln Continental concept a Flying Spur 'copy' [w/poll]

Tue, Mar 31 2015

When you first laid eyes on the new Lincoln Continental concept, we'd wager you were likely impressed, because it's an impressive design. But if you also thought it looked familiar, you're in good company. According to Car Design News, design chief Luc Donckerwolke over at Bentley thinks the Lincoln concept bears more than a passing resemblance to another Continental: Bentley's own Flying Spur. "This behavior is not respectable. Building a copy like this is giving a bad name to the car design world," Donckerwolke told CDN, after posting some disparaging comments on Facebook and offering in jest to send over the tooling. "It is very disappointing, especially for an exclusive brand like Lincoln," added Sangyup Lee, his deputy for exterior design. The irony is further entrenched by the name, which Bentley only dropped from its Flying Spur in its latest iteration but still uses for the coupe and convertible models. Both automakers have a deeply routed history with the nameplate, but Lincoln's stretches back further, having first used the handle in 1939 before Bentley did in 1952. However it's not the nameplate that's the subject of controversy here, rather the design of the vehicle to which it's applied. So what do you think, did Lincoln borrow too heavily from its British counterpart? Related Video:

Your Bentley interior can literally rock with stone trim

Thu, Oct 22 2020

The ultra-luxury car market has been moving in the direction of ever more customization to provide buyers the most unique products possible. The latest move comes from Bentley and its Mulliner division, which has added some special interior trims to the existing line of gloss wood. Now buyers with the means can finish their Bentley interiors in open-pore wood, carbon fiber, aluminum, color-matched paint and even stone. The two most impressive interior trims are the stone and open-pore options. The stone veneers are made from slate and quartzite, and are available in four different colors: Autumn White, Copper, Galaxy, Terra Red or the Galaxy that's shown in the gallery above. In order to keep the stone from adding too much weight, the veneer is only 0.1 mm. It's also finished so that you can feel the texture of the rock. For the open-pore trim, Bentley offers three wood choices: Liquid Amber (made from American Red Gum), Dark Burr and Tamo Ash. Each has a unique grain that can be felt thanks to the 0.1-mm thick matte protective coating, which is a fifth the thickness of the gloss wood coating. The carbon fiber trim is pretty straightforward. It's gloss carbon fiber, though Bentley says the the resin it uses highlights the weave of the carbon. The aluminum is also fairly straightforward, featuring a thee-dimensional texture mirroring the grille of the car. The diamond-brushing is meant to emphasize the dimension to the panels. Interestingly, this option is exclusive to the Bentayga. Choosing painted trim gives owners the most variety in choice, since they can opt for any of Bentley's 88 exterior colors, or have the panels matched to the interior leather. Related Video:

2023 Bentley Bentayga Cupholder Mega Test: Will the Nalgene bottle fit?

Tue, May 9 2023

The Bentley Bentayga is impressive in its extravagance, and the extended-wheelbase Azure First Edition is even more so. Unique styling, extremely high-quality materials, extra rear legroom and opulent seating make this expensive SUV a sublime place to spend time, whether behind the wheel or as a passenger. And while the Bentley might seem better suited to one of those water bottles with an energy-focusing crystal energy inside (yes, it's a thing), capaciousness holds a luxury all its own. So, can the Bentayga EWB accommodate what is truly the finest decanter for beverages on the go, the traditional 32-ounce Nalgene water bottle? Damned if I wasn't going to find out while the Bentley was in my driveway. The primest real estate is, of course, the front cupholders, so let's start there. It's hard to be disappointed, as something about sitting in the Bentayga's driver seat is a natural balm for the soul, but warm feelings won't make our Nalgene fit where we'd like it. Let's try the doors next. It fits there just fine, and we have to say, the azure color of my Nalgene's sturdy, BPA-free plastic looks quite nice against the car's gray and lavender leather. So how about the folks sitting in business class? As is often the case, the rear cupholders suffer the same constraints as the ones up front. The Nalgene won't fit there, but maybe the doors? These generous pockets again provide a place for these big bottles. But there's one more spot in this Bentley to stash a fifth Nalgene. Just in front of the rear cupholders is a cubby that opens up. It's big enough to fit a Nalgene, but not big enough to close the lid over it. It wouldn't be a terrible place to temporarily hold your bottle while actively hydrating, then place it back out of the way in the door pocket once your thirst is quenched. Have a closer look in the video below. If the Bentayga is a little rich for your taste, you can see how the Nalgene fares in the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Toyota 4Runner or the upcoming Volkswagen ID.7 electric sedan.
