2005 Bmw Z4 2.5i Convertible 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Baltimore, Maryland, United States
Superb 2005 BMW Z4 2.5
liter convertible! This is a gorgeous
example of German engineering. Both fun to drive and reliable as
a Swiss watch. I am helping my mother sell this beautiful specimen of an
automobile. The car has Pennsylvania plates but currently garaged here in
Baltimore. Come take a look and take a test drive (serious buyers only). Send
questions to ebay account. The car runs perfect like a top. She has had only
one other owner and has been extremely well maintained. There has never been a
collision. She has a clean history. New floor mats. New wiper blades. Recent
full synthetic oil change. Full climate control with efficient A/C system,
cruise control and remote entry. Additional features
include ABS, stability control, dynamic brake control and brake proportion
control, traction control, run-flat tires, front and side airbags, and
rain-sensing wipers; plus remote entry and a superb sound system with in-dash
CD. The soft top with heated glass window is manual but is easily opened
with one hand. The engine has been well maintained with
documentation of regular oil changes and service. There are mostly highway
miles as the car was driven from Baltimore to PA on occasion. There are no
mechanical or cosmetic flaws. As mentioned above there is some mild
discoloration of the front headlamps from UV exposure and only very minor
small incidental fine scratches which are barely noticeable. This car is in truly excellent condition. I
don't think it would be fair to say the car is mint because of these extremely minor
cosmetic flaws. But for a car with 64,000 miles she is truly outstanding. Anyone
lucky enough to purchase this automobile will be rewarded with pure driving
pleasure. She is perfect for a Sunday drive and more than capable of attacking
twisty back roads. This BMW is a classic and turns heads. There is a gorgeous
rumble heard from the motor as it revs. German engineering ensures a tight fit
to the road. The 5-speed manual transmission is as smooth as silk shifting. BMW
really made a tight machine with this one. Spring is here! This roadster won't last. Put
the top down and enjoy! Happy bidding. |

Google reveals Alphabet, but BMW already owns that trademark
Tue, Aug 11 2015Google co-founder Larry Page unveiled a surprise restructuring yesterday with the announcement of Alphabet, a new company that owns Google and all of its semi-related products. Google's stock soared five percent directly after the announcement, the world was busy dissecting the meaning of alpha and bet, and things looked rosy for the new company. However, there could be one problem: BMW owns the trademark and .com domain for "Alphabet." And it doesn't want to sell, a spokesperson tells the New York Times. BMW's Alphabet provides service packages to corporations with vehicle fleets. In terms of trademark infringement, it's no problem for two companies to have the same name, as long as there's no possibility of confusion for customers. In this case, there is at least one clear connection between the two organizations: BMW is a car manufacturer and Alphabet owns Google, which has a line of self-driving cars. BMW is looking into the possibility of trademark infringement, NYT reports. As for the Alphabet domain, Google's new company has secured abc.xyz, so BMW can continue using alphabet.com without worry – except for the apparent traffic overload that hit the site after Page's announcement. Google's Alphabet has a different domain issue to tackle: China has blocked its new site, despite expansive local coverage of the restructuring, Fast Company reports. 2015 BMW i8 sets everyone's tongues wagging in Northern Michigan
Fri, 31 Oct 2014Like few other cars we can remember, people want to talk about the 2015 BMW i8. Drive one, and you'll soon find out what we mean. They stop you at gas stations. They accost you in Walgreen's parking lots. They stream out of neighborhood bars, beers in hand.
At least, that was our experience this week during Autoblog's Technology of the Year testing. We had the pleasure of driving the plug-in hybrid BMW sports car up to and around Petoskey, MI, a resort town where seeing such exotics is rare enough, let alone in the off season. It made for some interesting conversations - so we began writing down some of the comments the butterfly-doored coupe inspired. Here's a sampling:
"Wanna race for pinks? I'll go easy on you." - Acne-covered teenage pizza delivery driver in a sad-looking Ford Taurus parked at a Valero gas station near Grayling (which incidentally didn't actually have gas).
Will next BMW Project i car be an i6?
Sun, Dec 27 2015BMW may be steadily working its way through the single digits when it comes to the i sub-brand of plug-in vehicles for the next few years. The automaker started with the i3 and the i8, and we heard rumors about an i5 and an i7. Oh, and we've heard about a potential i4, too. None of these have been confirmed. Still, next up is the i6, according to Automobile. There aren't a ton of details, but the all-electric vehicle would be about the same size as the 3-Series line that's long been a workhorse for the German automaker. Like the other Project i vehicles, the i6 would have a lot of carbon fiber in order to reduce weight and help with range extension. The model would also likely have multiple electric motors as well as a state-of-the-art lithium-polymer battery that would provide a big single-charge range, though, again, no specifics on that number. Word got out earlier this year about a supposed i5 model that would be a plug-in hybrid with a gas-powered engine and two electric motors that combine for about 540 horsepower. Other reports said that the four-door sedan would actually fall under the i7 badge. BMW North America chief Ludwig Willisch said this past spring that the sedan in question wouldn't be seeing the light of day any time soon. BMW has already doubled US sales of its two Project i vehicles this year. Through November, Bimmer's sales of its i8 plug-in hybrid quadrupled from a year earlier to about 1,600 units, while sales of the i3 electric vehicle jumped 89 percent from a year earlier to about 9,600 vehicles.
