Hello and up for Auction is a true Garage Queen 1 Owner BMW Z3 with only 84,700 original miles. The Z3 has always been garaged and I also have every service record since new. The last service was this March to the tune of $1,000. The Z3 is in amazing condition and needs nothing. The paint is all original and shows extremly well with no fading or clear coat damage.  The Z3 has no noticable dents or key scratches and the front sport bumper is in perfect shape with no damage from curb stops or drive ways.  The interior is rip and tear free and has never been smoked in.  The top is in better than average shape and the rear window was replaced a year ago and looks like new with no yellowing or hazing.  The wheels are custom BBS style in a light smoke metallic with near new Yokohama sport tires all the way around.  The Z3 also has a Factory BMW Alarm added that allows you to automatically lock/unlock the doors.  The Z3 also has a custom high end Kenwood Bluetooth/Satelite radio  equipped system that is very nice for hands free calls with mic perfectly installed.  The Z also has the rear window protector pictured in the trunk and windscreen for comfortable driving with the top down.  These extras alone are worth a good bit.  Below is a list of options that the Z3 has with a list of recent servicing to ensure a great Z3!

Options: Rare Automatic Transmission, Premium Package( Real Leather. power seats, power top, Cruise Control), FogLights, BMW installed Alarm with Auto Lock/Unlock, High end Kenwood Bluetooth/Satelite Radio, Custom BBS style Smoke Metallic Wheels, 4 Near New Yokohama Sport Tires.....

Servicing: The most recent servicing was done not even a month ago and included: All new drive belts, Oil and Filter change, Replaced Idle speed sensor,  and replaced a few gaskets BMW recommended.. The front and rear brakes, and the cooling system on the Z3 have all been serviced recently with reciepts on hand.    Please read my feedback from other Z3 buyers as it is perfect.  I only sell exceptional Z3s! Reserve is always fair and you will not have to sink money into a Z3 you buy from me, so bid with confidence!!!

Project CARS vs reality at Laguna Seca shows amazing potential

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Project CARS is aiming to be the next great racing sim. Offering a mix of modern and classic cars on famous tracks, developer Slightly Mad Studios is trying to inject a fresh energy into the genre, and at the moment its game looks ready to take on Forza and Gran Turismo.
The game is still about six months from release, and the graphics already look practically photorealistic. The video below shows side-by-side laps of Laguna Seca in a BMW - real life on the left and the game on the right. It's absolutely astounding. Other than some changes to the sponsorship around the track, they are almost identical.
Of course anyone with quality seat time in a racing sim knows that graphics are just one factor. How the game feels is even more important, and without getting hands on, it's impossible to judge yet. However, consider our interest piqued. Project CARS is scheduled to launch in November on the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Nintendo WiiU, Windows PC and Steam OS. Scroll down to check out the video.

X4 launch to spearhead BMW crossover onslaught at NY Auto Show

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

It's no secret that crossovers are one of the key vehicle types driving today's auto industry profits, and nowhere is that more true than among the world's luxury brands. BMW became one of the first players in the luxury CUV segment when it launched its original X5 in 1999, and buoyed by that model's runaway success, it followed up with the X3 in 2003, the X6 in 2008 and the X1 in 2009 (though the latter didn't make it to the US until late 2012). It's replaced the X5 twice since then and the X3 once, but the Bavarian automaker isn't about to let matters rest there.
First off, a production version of a new X4 model is expected at the New York Auto Show in April. The model was previously rumored to be earmarked for reveal a month earlier, but a new report from Autocar suggests that the previously mooted reveal date and location were inaccurate. The X4 is expected to apply the same controversial slant-back formula to the X3 that transformed the X5 into the X6, which will in turn lead to an update for the X3 as well.
But that's not all. Autocar also reports that before 2014 is out, BMW will unveil a revised X6 at the Moscow Motor Show in August, which will in turn be followed by upgraded versions of both the X6 M and X5 M. These high-performance crossovers are tipped to pack the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 as the outgoing versions, albeit with higher outputs than the current models' 555 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. All this, and they're still expected to simultaneously improve fuel consumption and emissions figures.

A Tasty Bit Of Old School For The New School
Against the backdrop of fervent hand-wringing from brand purists, BMW is on the cusp of finally offering front-wheel-drive vehicles. While that's a shock to the constitution, many are pointing to the company's fine-handling Mini offerings as an article of faith that it can get this drivetrain paradigm shift right. That may be true, but there's an even more important lesson that Mini has taught the decision-makers in Munich: how to make real money on small cars.
Before Mini came along, BMW - along with seemingly every other premium European automaker - never really figured out how to coax big dollars out of American wallets without developing cars that had large footprints, at least those other than sports cars. While the automaker really got rolling in America on the strength of little bantamweights like the 2002, it veered away from small cars sometime in the '80s. BMW subsequently crashed and burned with the cut-and-shut 318ti built off its E36 3 Series and, good as it is, the 1 Series hasn't given the company meaty volume or profits, either. Among other brands, the Audi A3 has never rung up big numbers, and the less said about the painful sales figures of the Volvo C30, the better. But Mini has beat the odds, blazing a more affordable and evidently compelling trail. As of late, the company's Countryman softroader has been a massive hit worldwide. No surprise then that BMW has reconsidered bringing over its smallest softroader, the X1, to the US.
