They rubber moldings for the top are in place and leak free. The interior is in good condition with only a few imperfections for a car that is nearly 14 years old. A Small blemish in the driver seat leather, passenger window switch was replaced at some point and sits slightly higher that the console itself. Some of the storage bins have pins that have cracked (easily replaceable if you choose-I researched this)but they are all present and operational. Front pass side signal marker slightly cracked. Lower running edge of front spoiler scuffed slightly (as most are)"

You are bidding and looking at a 1999 BMW Z3 Roadster in Good Condition.  It was recently purchased and moved from Florida to Illinois (Chicagoland Area).  I have a Clean Florida Title in hand, which I will simply sign over to the new owner/buyer and the CAR FAX on the vehicle is clean with ONE OWNER previously ( I will look and see if I can cut and paste it into the posting so no one has to pay for it.

I will answer the question that everyone is thinking immediately to dispell any fears or questions.  YES, I bought the car in May, YES, I am looking to sell it now.  After driving it for the last month (I was gone on vacation for about 15 days in June) It is quite evident that it is just impractical for me personally.  The car is a absolute blast to drive, it is small, compact and FAST.  It sticks to the road like glue and I look damn good in it with the convertible down it is a great experience on a beautiful night to drive in the city and out on the open highway. I bought it because after giving my daughter my Santa Fe, I wanted something to drive myself - after 17 years of BS cars.  However, in the end I have realized that this car is just plain not going to work for me and I am not going to pay to store it in the winter and buy another car to drive through the Chicago winters............so there you have it.  There is NOT A THING WRONG WITH THE CAR.  It is simply just not a fit for me as much as I wanted it to be.

That being said please take a look at the car and the pics if you are interested.  I listed the issues as far as defects, scratches, blemishes etc....there are some (interior wise) but they are not major items.  As a matter of fact I initially looked into the parts to replace worn storage bins and a few trim pieces that I thought I would just tidy up and I think my total for the interior was a few hundred bucks and it was all things you can do yourself, nothing major  mostly cosmetic for myself personally.  The car is in great shape for its age and has been well taken care of.  The engine is smooth, shifts smooth and is fast.  There are NO leaks whatsoever and the engine is clean and maintained.

You will not be disappointed in this Z3 (that is what the guy from Florida told me and I am saying the same to YOU as buyers/Bidders)  He was right.  It is a great car and well priced for the mileage and condition. It is also a popular color scheme Silver on Black.  This Z3 has a Kelly Blue Book Value of $10,500.00.  I just merely want to get me money/investment out of it (nothing more - nothing less).  So it will be a great buy for someone.

If you have any questions and/or want more pics or specific pics of something please E-Mail me and ask.  I will get it done ASAP.  PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU BID

******PLEASE ONLY PLACE A BID OR MAKE AN OFFER IF YOU ARE A SERIOUS BUYER ******

Please take note that the vehicle is also being advertised locally.  in the event that the car sells locally I reserve the right to end the auction early without prior notice.

BMW M4 to debut in Detroit, lose manual transmission

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

BMW took the wraps off its M4 Concept at Pebble Beach last weekend, and many speculated that the highly anticipated production version of the sleek new two-door sports coupe would debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this year. But a well-placed source tell Autoblog that the E92 M3's successor won't arrive in Southern California this November. Instead, the German automaker will wait until the Detroit Auto Show in January for its first official reveal.
An all-new 3.0-liter inline-six with twin turbochargers is expected under the hood, and it should provide about the same horsepower as the current 4.0-liter V8 (rated at 414 horsepower), but with much more torque that arrives lower on the tachometer. The lightweight engine is said to have an impressively high redline, which is unusual for a turbocharged engine.
Unfortunately, Save the Manuals members aren't going to like this next bit of news. After four generations of three-pedal M3 models, our source says the upcoming F82 M4 will arrive with a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) as standard equipment - with no manual option - just like the latest iteration of the track-ready Porsche GT3 (few have complained about the automaker's PDK after driving the latest sports car from Stuttgart). In exchange for some moans, groans and gripes from enthusiasts, BMW's DCT mounted aft of the M4's inline-six will provide quicker acceleration and improved fuel economy.

The best cars we drove this year

Tue, Dec 30 2014

Six hundred and fifty. That's roughly how many cars pass through the hands of Autoblog editors every year, from the vehicles we test here at home, to the cars we drive on new product launches, testing roundups, long-term cars, and so on. Of course, our individual numbers vary due to several reasons, but at the end of the day, our team's repertoire of automotive experience is indeed vast. But let's be honest, some cars certainly stand out more than others. So as the year's about to turn, and as we're readying brand-new daily cat calendars for our cubicles, our editors are all taking time to reflect on the machinery that made this year so special, with one simple, open-ended question as the guide – a question that we're asked quite frequently, from friends, family, colleagues, and more. "What's the best car you drove this year?" Lamborghini Huracan When I review the list of everything I drove in 2014, picking an absolute favorite becomes almost impossible. I mean, how does one delineate between the joy offered by cars as different as the Alfa Romeo 4C, Volkswagen Golf R, Mercedes-AMG GT S and even the humble-yet-wonderful Chevy Colorado? Okay fine, I'll just pick the Lamborghini. I drove the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 on a racetrack, in the mountains, and along southern coast of Spain. It felt like the king of the car jungle in all of those places, sucking the eyeballs of observers nearly out of their heads as it drove by, and almost melting my brain with its cocktail of speed and grip and intense communication. It feels a little easy to say that the one new supercar I drove this year was also my favorite, but the fact is that the Huracan is one of the finest cars I've driven during my career, let alone 2014. Judge me if you must. – Seyth Miersma Senior Editor Rolls-Royce Wraith There are a couple of ways to look at the question, "What's the best car you drove this year?" In terms of what was so good I'd go out and buy one tomorrow, that'd be my all-time sweetheart, the Volkswagen GTI. Or if I'm just talking about sheer cool-factor, maybe something like the Galpin GTR1, BMW i8, or Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. But instead, I'm going to write about the sheer opulence of being the best of the best. The hand-crafted, holier-than-thou, shut-your-mouth-when-I'm-talking-to-you supremacy. I'm picking the Rolls-Royce Wraith. I drove the Wraith for a week in April, and was really, really impressed. This car does everything, perfectly.

2014 BMW 4 Series drops its top, priced from $48,750*

Sat, 12 Oct 2013

BMW will debut its new 2014 4 Series Convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, and after seeing plenty of spy shots and, most recently, some leaked images, we now have all the official details. To no one's surprise, the 4 Series convertible is, essentially, a topless version of BMW's new-for-2014 4 Series coupe, and will be offered in the United States in the same 428i and 435i guises.
On the base end, that means the 428i Convertible arrives with the company's 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, good for 240 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque, and available with either rear- or all-wheel drive. BMW says the 428i will sprint to 60 miles per hour in a respectable 6.2 seconds. For folks in need of more thrust, BMW will happily sell you a 435i Convertible, available only with rear-wheel drive, powered by a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged inline-six that produces 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of twist. Hitting 60 mph in the 435i will take roughly five and a half seconds with the standard eight-speed auto. Curiously, BMW did not mention anything about a six-speed manual transmission for either model, so looks like this droptop might be an auto-only affair. We've contacted BMW for confirmation, so we'll keep you posted.
Like the 3 Series Convertible it replaces, the 4 Series uses a three-piece folding hardtop configuration, and BMW says that added sound deadening reduces audible wind noise by about two decibels. Folding the automatic roof takes just 20 seconds, and can be done at speeds up to roughly 11 mph. For chilly, top-down driving (something we're big fans of), there are now three-temperature neck warmers for the front seats - just like what Mercedes-Benz offers with its AirScarf system.
