This BMW has been cared for its whole life, serviced only with the best fluids and oils, maintained to BMW standards. It is exceptionally clean and ready for extended service. I have personally put over 500 miles on this truck and have been impressed with its smoothness, its economy (over 20MPG) and its comfort! No one makes a better SUV! I am so confident in its performance, I would send my daughter to the opposite coast tomorrow with no worry. The white exterior is nearly flawless, certainly well above average. The new Michelins are very quiet and smooth, many miles to go! The leather interior is clean and shows minimal wear despite having over 100k miles. The carpets are clean and unstained, there are high quality coco mats in the front. The cargo space has a plastic liner, and it covers a boo-boo on the carpet, someone has spilled something that has turned part of the carpet a red color, but you have to remove the liner to see it. The light burl wood trim is very pleasing to the eye, and the comfort level makes the driver feel at ease and confident. All systems are operating as they should, no issues whatsoever. The 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine is quiet, powerful and economical, it cruises at 80 effortlessly, and delivers surprisingly good fuel mileage! The engine starts easily, no odd sounds or smoke, knocks or tics, obviously in perfect running order. The transmission shifts smoothly and as it should, no whining or jerky shifting. All systems operate as they should, the electric mirrors, the radio, the powered seats, electric windows and sunroof, cruise control, lights, etc. The radio panel has burned out pixels, but still operates OK, some numbers hard to read. this panel can be replaced easily if desired. We have serviced and maintained this vehicle for the past 5 years, so we know it has been properly maintained. We use only Redline Oil, the highest quality synthetic oil you can buy. We stand behind this vehicle 100%. We can add a warranty if desired, but we don't think you'll need it. We specialize in used BMW's and are very familiar with their maintenance and lasting quality. Please contact us, Larry or Bob, at 843-552-2999. We are happy to meet you at the Charleston SC airport and can arrange accommodations if you wish to stay and visit the Holy City before driving your BMW home. See this and other BMW's at our website, WeAreCGOC.net. Thanks for considering this vehicle and please call with any questions. Happy bidding and good luck!

2015 BMW M4 Coupe ditches some doors, gains some grunt
Mon, 13 Jan 2014If you saw our earlier post about the hot new BMW M3 Sedan and were about to call blasphemy for no coupe version, just settle down, silly. Remember: BMW now badges its two-door 3 Series models with the number four, and thus, meet the 2015 M4 Coupe. Looks hot, right?
So yeah, it's pretty much just the M3 with two less doors, but that doesn't make it any less important - or potent. Power comes from a turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, sending 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. You know, the usual.
Not only is the M4 more powerful than the M3 Coupe it replaces, it's a good deal lighter, too. BMW has managed to cut 176 pounds of weight out of the M4, and that means, with the increased output numbers, that the M4 will scoot to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds with the DCT or 4.1 seconds with the do-it-yourself tranny. Either way, that's not what we'd call slow.
2014 BMW R NineT
Tue, 26 Aug 2014BMW is taking a page from the Harley-Davidson playbook with its groundbreaking R NineT. A retro cafe racer with an urban hooligan twist, the bike is fully customizable from fork to exhaust. Of course, any motorcycle can be customized, but the fact that BMW has built its newest bike to encourage modification using parts that can be swapped with simple tools is a radical move for a motorcycle maker best known for its plug-and-play touring bikes.
To underscore exactly how radical, BMW has even partnered with custom heavy-hitter Roland Sands Design, which developed the initial concept for the bike and is now manufacturing a full line of parts and accessories for the R NineT, including radial valve covers ($950), retro racing saddles ($400-$420), radial gauge housing ($400) and a radial headlight bezel ($250), among other things, all of which can be swapped with a socket wrench or screwdriver instead of a hacksaw, wire cutters and TIG welder.
Alas, the bike I tested for two weeks was stock, so consider it a blank canvas.
BMW M1 really was the Ultimate Driving Machine
Thu, 29 May 2014Life giving you lemons? Make lemonade. That's the spirit in Munich that lead to BMW producing the only mid-engined sports car in its 98-year history. The project resulted from a collaboration with Lamborghini (now owned, incidentally, by arch-rival Audi) to meet Group 4 homologation requirements. Lamborghini withdrew, the FIA changed its rules, but BMW built it anyway.
Arguably one of Giorgetto Giugiaro's finest designs, the M1 packed a 3.5-liter inline-six, driving 273 horsepower to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual. The Procar racing version turbocharged that output up to 850 hp and attracted the top drivers in a one-make F1 support race series.
Over the course of three years, the Bavarian automaker only built 456 examples of the M1, and for BMW enthusiasts, there's no vehicle more coveted. But don't take our word for it - let Petrolicious tell one noteworthy owner's tale in the video below.
