Monaco Blue with Tobacco Nevada Leather

This stunning X5 is looking for a new home.  It was purchased from Rallye BMW in Westbury, NY as a certified pre-owned vehicle spring of 2011 with 26,279 one owner miles on the clock.  Always know you are protected against theft with the LOJACK system installed.  With a $65,820 original sticker price, there is not much you are not getting here....it boasts:

  • Cold weather package
  • Premium package
  • Rear climate package
  • Technology package
  • 18” wheels with all season tires
  • Automatic tailgate operation
  • Comfort seats with lumbar support
  • BMW Teleservices
  • Steering Telservices
  • Rear seat entertainment
  • ipod and USB adapter
  • Satellite radio

Visually this X5 looks great!  The shine on the paint clearly shows it has been regularly waxed and taken care of.  The gorgeous Tobacco Nevada Leather seats are outstanding!  Of course with any car driven in our around the tri-state area for months let alone years, it has its fair share of little minor scuffs/bruises (a few of which are shown in the pictures attached to this listing).  Minor is the key word here.....this X5 shows incredibly well.

Mechanically this X5 is sound.  The power from the monstrous V8 is truly incredible.  The transmission shifts smooth, the tires have plenty of tread, and it just went it (within the last 30 days) for a full service and miscellaneous tweaks.  All service records are available upon request.

Please bid with confidence as my 100% positive feedback clearly speaks for itself.  Please ask all questions prior to bidding as all sales are final.

This vehicle is being sold in "as is" condition.  This vehicle is being advertised locally and the seller reserves the right to end the auction at any time.

VW Golf R pitted against BMW M235i in enthusiast's choice battle

Fri, 15 Aug 2014

Most people don't have two, open spots in their garage to fit a practical daily driver and a fire-breathing performance car for the weekends. That's what makes vehicles like the latest Volkswagen Golf R and BMW M235i just about perfect for the average person. Both of these Germans can lope around as a commuter 90 percent of the time and be perfectly comfortable. However, when you want to walk in the door with a big smile on your face, you can take the back roads home and get a real thrill from them.
In his latest short video, Chris Harris from Drive tests these surprisingly comparable German performance cars. Both of them offer buyers in the neighborhood of 300 horsepower, with the BMW winning out with 320 hp. However, the Golf R gets standard all-wheel drive, which is now an option on the M235i. Harris has quite positive things to say about these Europeans, but you're going to have to watch the video to hear just what he thinks.

Updated BMW X6 spied running the 'Ring in Germany

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

Following the debut of the X5 earlier this year, it shouldn't come as a shock that BMW is testing an updated X6 in its homeland. The Munich-based manufacturer trekked to the Nürburgring to test the lifted, four-door coupe it calls a Sports Activity Vehicle, while also giving us our first peak as to what the future holds for one of the weirder models in the brand's stable.
Mainly, we can safely expect the next X6 to get the same range of refinements made to its platform-mate, the X5, which debuted earlier this year. If we're lucky, that could mean an X6 sDrive35i, complete with rear-wheel drive with which to fling the big SAV about. Adding a rear-drive option could also broaden its admittedly limited appeal by lowering the cost of entry, which could serve the pricier X6 well. As a point of reference, the X5 sDrive35i is priced at $2,300 below an xDrive all-wheel-drive-equipped model.
The X6's top-flight xDrive50i model should get the same 45-horsepower bump as the X5 xDrive50i, thanks to refinements to its twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8, while the 3.0-liter, turbocharged six-pot should remain unchanged. We wouldn't hold our breath for an X6 diesel to arrive, although weirder stuff has happened. Like the X5, though, this should be a pretty slim refit that improves an already competent package to go along with an expected increase in price.

The Bilenkin Vintage is a retro-Russian coachbuilt BMW

Wed, Dec 2 2015

If you want to add some retro Russian style to your E92 BMW 3 Series, the coachbuilt Vintage by Bilenkin Classic Cars is probably your best (and only) option. The coupe's shape takes inspiration from vehicles of the Communist era, but this bespoke machine's design gets even crazier on the inside. The company's website shows that Bilenkin already has experience restoring classic cars, but this design. That experience is on display here. The stylists do a masterful job of hiding the BMW donor at the front, and the two big headlights and low-mounted, chrome bumper seem to take inspiration from old Volgas. In a fantastic touch, lengths of chrome also run through the door handles down the side to accentuate the rear. The back might be the styling's best angle because of the way the fins step down over two tiers to create the taillights. While the exterior focuses on mixing vintage looks with modern underpinnings, the interior cossets the occupants in opulent trim that features gold and diamonds. Bilenkin upholsters one example in its photos (above right) with paisley fabric, teal trim, and a frosted gearshift. The company also has one with a more traditional look that combines brown leather, wood, and crimson carpets. The Vintage recently debuted at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show, but Bilenkin doesn't go into much detail about the vehicle's mechanical specs. According to the company's site, "it is intended to embody elegance and style along with the principle 'Sheer Driving Pleasure.'" The retro design certainly achieves the first part of that goal, while the BMW bones probably deliver the latter as well.
