Up for bid is our pride and joy V10 BMW M6.

This is the top of the line fully optioned M6 Super car. Well over 500 bhp and capable of over 200 mph.
Only 3887 of these monsters were made, roughly 1200 of them in this color.
The S85 5L V10 engine was designed by BMW Motorsport for the F1 program. The S85 has won more awards for design, power and reliability than any other BMW engine and most other brands for that matter.
It has the 7 speed paddle shift Sequential M gearbox that is current F1, Ferrari and Lambo technology. Also has a auto setting. The "M" button raises 100hp and changes every setting you can imagine to turn this from cruse mode to super car mode. Gear ratio's, traction, suspension, even the seat hugs you like a race recaro seat!
It's torque, power and high reving V10 note are second to none.
The 2006 M6 has a 8min 9sec lap recorded around the world famous Nurburgring in Germany 100% stock with street tires. This is quicker than Porsche, Vipers, ferrari's, GTR's, Lotus and a host of others. All this and it has a back seat and a huge trunk!

Inside is serious luxury, leather everywhere, technology everywhere and the finish that you'd expect for BMW's flag ship at $110,000

The car has a few very light marks and scratches but is in extremely good condition.
We have owned the car since January where we purchased it in Salt Lake city Utah. Reason for selling is we are buying a house and we can't have both.
We would prefer to sell it locally so I have the chance in the future to buy this back.  Also this needs to be seen in person, this is no run of the mill M6 it's rare, near perfect and unmodified.

Seriously way too much to list when it comes to this car, I'll try to do some below, look at the online reviews, all have a 5/5 star rating in all categories. This is the best car you will ever get for the $$.

As I said top of the line with all extras.
- Full carbon fiber roof
- Door mirror dimer
- Heated door mirrors

- Full setting steering wheel options, including telescope and 3 tilt options
- Garage door transmitter built in
- Auto dimming rear view mirror
- Memory seat with 3 different people settings

- 13 Bose speakers
- Low tire pressure warning
- Head up display for speed, revs and navigation
- Fully auto headlights including auto cleaning

- Full airbag system including 2 front, 2 side, overhead and knee. Also rear seat airbags
- Full security system with panic button, immobilizer and lo-jack system

- Heated and cooling vent seats
- 100% Real wood grain though out the interior

- Speed sensing steering, brake assist, traction assist

This has not been driven in the snow but we do have a full set of snow tires and rims that will come with the car. We purchased these recently before we decided to buy a house.

We welcome any check for this M6 it will pass all with flying colors.

Serious buyers need only apply, you bid to buy not look.  The car has no faults, no errors, no issues.  If you buy it unseen it will be sold "as is" with all faults if any.

You won't be getting a test ride without some proof you can afford this car.  ***Attention online scam people, don't bother messaging us,  I will not be selling this car to anyone without the money up front in our account***

There is a lein on the title with BMW, we can either pay off before you buy or just submit the payment through BMW. Either way this is 100% easy and safe to buy this car.

Any questions please let me know (267-401-5618).  License plate is not included with the sale of the car.
Car is advertised locally so we reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.
We maybe interested in a 4x4 truck as partial payment.  Truck would need to be 4 door or an extended cab to be considered

Thanks for looking and happy bidding

Recharge Wrap-up: BMW i3 carshare, Audi e-gas plant

Thu, Jul 16 2015

Elix Wireless has announced its E10K Wireless Charging System. The system is designed for harsh conditions, delivers up to 10 kilowatts and features automatic detection and removal of foreign objects. Its low frequency makes it safe to operate near oil and gas, and in other hazardous environments. The system can charge personal vehicles, as well as electric buses, trucks, mining equipment and heavy duty machinery. Elix has "created an entirely new technology that meets customer demand for fast, safe and reliable charging," says, CEO David Smith. The E10K system uses Elix's Magneto-Dynamic Coupling technology, with rotating permanent magnets in the transmitter and receiver. Read more at Green Car Congress, or in the press release from Elix Wireless. FreeWire Technologies and Siemens are working together on a pilot program for the Mobi Charger. The mobile charging station, which uses second-life EV batteries to charge electric vehicles, will be deployed for a trial at LinkedIn's campus in Mountain View, CA. The Mobi is more flexible than stationary chargers in that it brings the charging to the car, regardless of where it is parked, rather than having to park the EV in a specific spot. It can charge up to five cars per day without putting stress on the grid during peak hours. Read more from Siemens. Audi's e-gas plant in Werlte, Germany helps stabilize the power grid. The plant, which produces synthetic methane using CO2, water and electricity, is able to draw six megawatts of power within five minutes, allowing it to become certified in the electricity balancing market. This helps the grid adapt to the larger load fluctuations that go hand-in-hand with generating renewable energy. It also allows the plant to achieve higher operating times and produce more e-gas each year. Read more in the press release from Audi. The BMW i3 is now available through the DriveNow carsharing service in Germany. DriveNow, which is a joint venture between BMW and car rental company Sixt, has put 100 i3s into service in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. BMW also says that it supports a shift away from private car ownership in order to improve urban living and mobility, and sees electric carsharing as an important part of that. "We are witnessing the changes our customers and society as a whole are making and we are taking them on board," says BMW's Dr. Bernhard Blattel.

BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is the world's first front-drive Bimmer [w/videos]

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

While BMW has been showing concepts for its Active Tourer for over a year, they never seemed entirely real. Why would BMW, a company that has built its image on sporty, rear-wheel drive sedans, move into the five-door, front-wheel-drive market? The answer is still not entirely clear, but the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is very real. It launches in Europe later this year and is rumored to come to the US in 2015.
To brand purists, a front-wheel drive BMW may seem anathema to everything the company has built, and the production Active Tourer has clearly been built to provide drivers with a luxurious but utilitarian package first and foremost. It is 170.9 inches long and rides on a 105.1-inch wheelbase, but despite its compact dimensions, its high roof allows for 16.53-cubic-feet of cargo space with the rear seats up or 53.33 cubic feet with them folded flat. Its general appearance is nearly identical to the previous concepts, except with a blunter nose and cleaner lines. The front end wears BMW's traditional dual circular headlights and naturally, while the profile incorporates the company's traditional Hofmeister kink into the greenhouse's rear pillar. The interior has been designed to be especially useful with a sliding rear seat, adjustable rear backrests, fold-flat backrests and optional features like an automatic tailgate and panoramic sunroof.
Unlike both previous concepts, none of the Active Tourer models at launch use hybrid power. For Europe, the hatchback is going on sale with three engine options. The basic version is the 218i Active Tourer with a 1.5-liter, turbocharged three-cylinder with 134 horsepower that we just previewed in the 2014 Mini Cooper - good enough for average fuel economy of 48 miles per gallon in the EU cycle when equipped with a six-speed manual. The next step up is the 225i Active Tourer with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 228 hp and offers 39-mpg average fuel economy. Finally, there is the there is the 218d Active Tourer with its 148-hp, 2.0-liter turbodiesel and 57 mpg average fuel economy on the EU cycle. A six-speed manual is standard on all of them, but there is a six-speed automatic option for the 218i and eight-speed automatics available for the 225i and 218d. All-wheel drive will be available on future models.

More automakers working to turn your smartphone into a shareable digital car key

Mon, Jun 25 2018

The smartphone killed the phone book, audio player, the pocket digital camera, handheld GPS devices and voice recorders. Now that addictive, transistor-filled candy bar is coming for your car keys. The Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) announced that it's unveiled Digital Key Release 1.0 Specification for its member companies, which is the first step in standardizing protocols. As of now, the potential is there for drivers to download a digital key that can lock and unlock the car, start it, and transfer the key to another operator in order to share the car. The CCC's aim is to save development costs, stave off a glut of similar-yet-competing technologies, and create keys that reflect the expanded use cases for cars, i.e., car-sharing services and to-your-car delivery. Next year's Release 2.0 Specification will standardize an authentication protocol between the phone and the vehicle — how a digital key is generated on a secure server and transmitted to the car and the device — and "promise more interoperability between cars and mobile devices." The CCC says that "NFC distance bounding and a direct link to the secure element of the device" will assure security. We take that to mean the phone will need to be in direct contact with the vehicle, at least to open the door. Carmakers and suppliers have been working on digital keys for years now, and the ecosystem for individual owners to open individual cars is growing. Audi showed off its Mobile Key at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, and now calls it Audi Connect Key, but we haven't seen much of it in the field. That same year, Volvo said it expected to sell cars with digital keys only by 2017, which clearly didn't happen. Last year, the head of sales at BMW asked, "Honestly, how many people really need [keys]? They never take it out of their pocket, so why do I need to carry it around?" Even though a digital key offers an owner more convenience and long-distance control over their vehicle, car sharing is the target — and that can even include traditional rental cars. In 2013, Continental began testing a digital key in France, aimed at integrating and simplifying the electric-car-sharing business; everything from finding a free vehicle to driving it and charging it could be done on a phone. A key could be programmed with the driver's information, so that any car the driver gets in will be automatically updated with that driver's preferences, say for audio or seating position.
