For sale by true hands-on BMW enthusiast! E39 M5 with 119000 miles most of them highway. I believe I am the second owner of this car the first one being National Geographics that had it leased until 80k or so. The car is in exquisite mechanical condition and has only some minor cosmetic flaws. The car passed the Texas safety and emission testing a week ago. All of these I will describe below also See the video links below! Link --> Video2 - exhaust and engine sound Link --> Video1 - lack of rust on the wheel wells, by the gas cap and some superficial rust on one of the doors the inner fender covers were changed after the vid was done. Remember this car from a mechanical standpoint has ZERO issues: -Antifreeze flush on 08/02/14 -transmission oil 04/13/2014(110000 miles) - -New Clutch, flywheel and throw bearing done at 112000 miles see last pictures taken when working on the clutch. -headlights adjusters are new replaced a year ago -although never raced I flushed the ECU with JB tune (1000$) and now is running mafless, Sport mode memory is enabled, SAP code is disabled and is outputting 415HP rear wheels. IAT relocation done to accommodate mafless tune -all around air filters, fuel filter, windshield washer pump, HID bulbs, rear sway bar bushings, are replaced within the last 8 months. -ZHP short shifter with UUC shift rod and new bushings installed at the same time I did the clutch/flywheel job. -Rear tires are 85% fronts 60% rears are Sumitomo ZRIII fronts Michelin's PS2. -Steering fluid flush done at 112000 miles. -Brakes done at 108000 - AC Snitzer Rear window spoiler -rear power sunshadow repaired with aluminium sliders from LI Customs -sparkplugs replaced at 110000 -all O2 sensors replaced at 117000 -exhaust is cut at 1/2 to allow for easier clutch servicing. All exhaust joints were checked for leaks and had screws replaced with copper ones and copper high temp anti-seize..this only costs about 350-450$. -final muffler is magnaflow (see/listen the video link above) -rearview leaky mirror repaired by Scott & radar-mirror (.com) lifetime warranty. -OEM Rubber mats in addition to the carpet ones. - -Euro center console with storage. -Dice Mediabridge with bluetooth installed -Navi is MK3. -I just installed new front inner lower fender covers Leather treated with Leatherique - Interior is in perfect condition MECHANICALLY THE CAR NEEDS NOTHING!! The bad- Exterior Cosmetic stuff (see the video link above) Rims paint is peeling and need refinishing. Some minor paint chips most of them shown in pictures. No need to tell you how much the above work costs even that most of it is done by me. BMW rethinks all-wheel-drive M cars
Fri, 04 Oct 2013BMW M hasn't been able to decide whether it wants to jump on the all-wheel-drive bandwagon or not (with the exceptions of the X5 M and the X6 M, which are based on AWD architecture). That might be changing though, since M's president Friedrich Nitschke recently realized that 70 to 80 percent of Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGs are ordered with all-wheel drive. Earlier this year, Nitschke said that there were no new AWD M models planned, so this comes as somewhat of a surprise.
"On our cars we are thinking of all-wheel drive, but it won't come before we get the successor of the M5 and M6," Nitschke said in a Motoring report. "That's the timing and it's not practical to react in the current life cycles."

Official pics of BMW M235i surface ahead of coupe's debut
Thu, 24 Oct 2013BMW isn't supposed to debut the 2 Series until tomorrow, according to Carscoops, but that hasn't stopped these photos of the 1 Series Coupe replacement from leaking onto the web. First picked up by a BMW 2 Series enthusiast site, the photos eventually found their way around the web, and complement the spy images we showed you of the uncovered 2 Series from almost six months ago.
This particular car is the M235i, and will serve as the range-topping 2 Series. As the number "35" is affixed to this car's tail, there's no question that the engine powering this example is BMW's turbocharged, 3.0-liter six-cylinder. As we reported earlier this month, power for the M235i should sit around 320 horsepower, blessing the 3,240-pound coupe with a 4.8-second sprint to 60 miles per hour when equipped with an eight-speed automatic (a six-speed manual is also available, but drops the time down to an even five seconds).
While this isn't a full-bore M car like the 1 Series M Coupe, it has been touched by the company's in-house tuning division, which means it sports a racier body kit, blacked out grilles and M-labeled interior items, like the steering wheel.

Both the non-M BMW 3 Series sedan and 4 Series coupe have so far brought much pleasure to us at Autoblog. The terrific four-cylinder 328i trim has become our favorite of the 3 Series line, while we have yet to get a chance at the 428i coupe. That said, the 35i trim powered by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine is not exactly to be sniffed at.
We all know the ones you're really waiting for, though. The F80 fifth-generation M3 sedan and the supremely sexy F82 M4 coupe. Rumors have been buzzing for a couple of years now that the engine would be another V8, only turbocharged this time, or else a tri-turbo six. Well, today BMW confirmed that the mill under the hood's power bulge is a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo of the biturbo variety, referred to internally as "S55B30 variant."
