Outstanding 2003 E46 M3

I am selling my clean, trouble free, superb condition M3.
This is my daily driver and my 3rd M3. I have taken extreme care of the vehicle and if you can find a cleaner, more tastefully modified E46 M3, I suggest  you by it.
Once or twice a year, I take a car that needs some love and attention, and bring it back to life. This car is done! It needs nothing!
There are absolutely NO trouble codes, subframe, or Vanos issues. The care has never been wrecked. Physician owed before me, it has been cared for and never tracked.
Don't look for any dings or dents because you won't find any.
I am selling the car to move on to my next project , which is a 1988 420 SEL.
I will try to be complete, but may leave something out, so here it goes.

The care is the 3.2 SMG coupe model
101900 miles, but I do drive it.
I have replaced all the external window molding with brand new OEM products. This was simply to bring it back to new looking and to get rid of 10 year old, sun faded rubber. The care has brand new BOSCH OEM wipers and blades
New Hood Cowl
The original kidney grill and side grills were old and chrome and have been replaced with brand new black ones with new badges
The car has brand new RED carbon fiber Roundels inside and out. This includes the wheel center caps.
Replaced gauge rings with RED rings.
Brand new RED leather shift boot and e-brake boot.
( Getting the theme here?)
Carbon fiber dash and door kit
The seats are perfect. No rips or tears. I had the seat professionally reconditioned and colored and immediately placed a cover on the driver side to protect it. You can see in the photos.

I installed a BMW OEM Homelink unit in the headliner, so you dont have to have a cheesy garage door opener pinned to the visor.
The factory radio has been replaced with a Bluetooth unit complete with Navigation and backup camera. It works flawlessly.I installed a 5 port USB port as well for your phone. Cell phone dash mount.
The ugly SMG shift knob has been replaced with an illuminated knob I took from a 2011 M3. It glows RED and looks awesome at night.

Now the outside

No dents
The car comes with Koalty Carbon fiber front lip
Carbon fiber roof spoiler
Carbon fiber trunk spoiler
and Carbon fiber PTM rear diffuser.

The exhaust is an ALL Stainless Steal Corsa catback($1600, check it if you dont believe me), and sounds awesome.
The wheels are $2500 CCWs with big Brand new(about 250 miles) 11 inch Hankook Ventus, 285/30/19s in the rear.
Big 14 inch Sportech cross drilled rotors all around with HAWK pads.
I replace the factory springs with HR 1 inch drop sport springs to give it a better stance and more control.
Xenon headlights

Again, in order to refresh the car, I replaced the headlight lenses with brand new crystal clear ones.
Brand new Yellow halogen fog lights.
Tinted rear tail lights.
Car has 20% window tint all around.

The Engine

No issues
Brand new Bosch coils
New NGK plugs
AFE Cold Air Intake
OIL, only replaced with Blue Molly 10W-60

I probably have forgotten something, but as you can see, the car is complete and a head turner.

OK, now the sale...
Do not bid if you are not serious
Bidding from ZERO feedback bidders need to contact me first.
I will require a $500 nonrefundable deposit w/i 48 hours of the sale. This is to discourage deadbeats.
The remainder is due w/i 7 days.
I will cancel and relist the car if these terms are not met.
You can pick the car up or have it shipped, but the buyer is responsible for all costs and arrangements.

Ask any questions about the car, and I will do my best to answer.
I am a physician and fairly busy but will get back to you.

THE RADAR DETECTOR IS NOT INCLUDED
I have additional photos that I am happy to email you.

Good Luck

Recharge Wrap-up: Houston's bus revival, autonomous trucks on the Autobahn

Thu, Apr 7 2016

A documentary shows how Houston, Texas significantly improved its outdated bus system. Called High Frequency: Why Houston is Back on the Bus, the short film describes how the city reimagined its bus system to become more efficient, more useful and more popular. Despite some opposition, the change has proven to be effective, with bus ridership up eight percent in three months, and light rail ridership up due to complementary bus routes. See the video above, and read more at CityLab. Automakers sent autonomous semi trucks on the German Autobahn as part of the European Truck Platooning Challenge of 2016. Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Scania, among other groups, sent platoons of trucks between Stuttgart, Germany, and Rotterdam, Holland. In Mercedes's platoon of three trucks, the lead truck was fitted with lasers and other sensors to guide the convoy down the road. The two following trucks relied on vehicle-to-vehicle communication to trail 50 feet behind the lead, making room for cars to come between them and closing the gaps when able. The close following distance provides fuel economy gains of up to 10 percent in the rearward trucks on account of the reduction in drag. Read more at Hybrid Cars. Renault has reduced NOx emissions in its Euro 6b diesel vehicles in real world driving conditions. By improving its exhaust gas recirculation systems and NOx traps, nitrogen oxide emissions are cut in half on average, under certain driving conditions. The improvements will be included in vehicles leaving the factory beginning in July of 2016. Beginning in October, owners of Renault Euro 6b diesels can have the modifications added to their cars for free. Read more from Renault. 2016 BMW X5 xDrive40e Review [w/video]

Wed, Dec 23 2015

BMW is no stranger to electrification. The company put the world on notice with the launch of its innovative i sub-brand. But the lessons learned from the i3 and i8 aren't limited to these small-volume cars. The more mainstream X5 xDrive40e impresses with lessons learned from i, all without compromising the SUV's character. The combination of a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor is good for 308 overall horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque. Sure, 240 hp and 260 lb-ft come from the four-cylinder engine alone, but the electric motor – integrated within the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission's housing – chips in a maximum of 111 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. The 9.2-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery can sock away enough electricity to drive up to 14 miles on a single charge and will recharge at your average 110-volt socket in about seven hours. Of course, the battery pack and electric motor are a big weight penalty. At 5,220 pounds, the xDrive40e is 430 pounds heavier than the standard xDrive35i. Still, the gas-electric powertrain hustles this husky X5 40e to 60 miles per hour in just 6.5 seconds, less than half a second slower than the 35i. The stopwatch figures are complemented by the best fuel economy of any gas-powered X5, at 56 miles per gallon equivalent and 24 mpg combined. Only the diesel X5 xDrive35d is more efficient, at 27 mpg. But achieving top fuel economy in the 40e isn't as simple as going easy on the throttle. Perhaps more than any vehicle we've tested recently, understanding how all the X5's systems work together is crucial to eking out the most mpgs. The xDrive40e's Drive Dynamics Control will be familiar to anyone that's driven a recent BMW. Eco Pro, Comfort (the default mode), and Sport make the same adjustments to the throttle response, steering weight, and dynamic damper firmness as they do in a standard X5. But in the xDrive40e, they also impact the way energy is recaptured. Comfort/Save offers the best blend of fuel efficiency while achieving maximum energy recapture. Sport mode's aggressive energy recovery is the fastest way to recharge the battery on the go. When it's working, there's a sensation similar to gently stepping on the brakes, though you actually aren't doing anything – this is a familiar experience to the way most EVs use regenerative braking. Comfort mode reduces this effect, and in turn how much energy is recaptured.
