HIGHLY-OPTIONED, SUPER-CLEAN and ULTRA-LOW MILES - 2009 BMW M3 convertible with DCT.

It is clean, super-low mileage and has EVERY option BMW had available. A REALLY SPECIAL car!!!!!

This particular car is destined for collecting. If you LOVE the M3 as much as I do - you'll be hard pressed to find a cleaner 5 year-old car! Total garage-queen!!!

First owner had car for 4 years and only 9,500 miles - I'm the second owner and purchased car CPO from Prestige BMW in NJ.

The car still ONLY has 14,708 miles and has never been tracked, raced or abused. NO accidents or major repairs. The car is CPO and has a transferable warranty.

Always garage-kept and never driven in bad weather (hardly ever has even seen rain). Car is absolutely perfect cosmetically - NO paint belmishes, scratches, dings. NO road-rash on wheels or stone chips AT ALL - you must see. The LeMans Blue is a really great color on this car.

Let's talk options - this car LITERALLY has everything you could have gotten on an M3 except a custom ("individual") paint/interior color.

Packages - there were 3 packages available on the 2009 M3 Convertible and this car has them ALL (plus some individual options):
ZCW - Cold Weather Pkg. (heated seats, headlight washers and pass-through sleeve from trunk) - this was $1K
ZPP - Premium Pkg. (pwr folding mirrors, garage opener, BMW Assist,) - this car also include the carbon-texture leather trim (real slick option IMO) - this was $2K
ZTP - Technology Pkg. (gives you configurable "M-Drive" modes, includes adjustable suspension, comfort access, navigation and HD radio) - this was $3K+

Also:
2MK - dual-clutch semi-manual transmission (DCT) - this was WAY better than the SMG-I and SMG-II in the older M3 and M6!!! I thought I'd forever drive the 6-speed, but this transmission is AWESOME! - $3K
2MT - optional 19" forged wheels - $1K+
507 - Park Distance Control - $350
655 - Satellite Radio - $600
6FL - iPod integration - $400
6NF- Smartphone Integration
752 - Enhanced Premium Sound (this is a step ABOVE the Logic7 system! and a RARE $2K option) - you can spot this option by the silver-color door-speaker grills (see the pictures)

Added:
Dinan Stage I engine software (done by Prestige BMW) removes the rev/speed limiter and bumps HP by a few. I think this is the only software that doesn't void BMW warranty.
B&B (racer Billy Boat) Stainless Exhaust - beautifully polished pipes, mufflers and tips (axle-back system). It's NOT obnoxious loud - but the stock muffler was just TOO quiet for my taste. This has a slight growl. This cost $1000+! IF YOU REALLY WANT THE FACTORY SYSTEM - I HAVE THAT MUFFLER AVAILABLE IN PERFECT CONDITION ALSO (LET'S TALK AS IT'S LISTED ON EBAY ALSO). I CAN INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL, TAKE OFF THE B&B FOR A DISCOUNT OR SOMETHING IN THE MIDDLE.

If you're considering this car as a collectible - I have lots of BMW pdf's that detail bits and pieces of what was available, so just ask. 2009 saw minor but important improvements in the engine - so I would NOT buy a 2008!

The car has ALL options that were available on this model including the BMW-Individual stereo system. You can check the VIN at BMWVIN.com to see the options the vehicle was built with ... or scroll down

Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo offers Europeans a pre-M3 performance 3er

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

Anyone that's spent some time behind the wheel of the Alpina B7 probably knows enough to understand what Americans are missing with this, newly launched Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo. We've got no lack of M models to choose from, it's true, but the Alpina touch offers a completely different driving character, with almost as much performance. A pity then that Alpina has no plans that we've heard of to bring this one across the pond.
Filling the gap between the current 3 Series offerings and the outgoing M3 (we're not likely to even see the new M3 and M4 until September's Frankfurt show, nor be able to buy one until after that), the B3 Bi-Turbo brings serious performance to the F30 3er. As the name indicates, two turbochargers are used to force-feed BMW's 3.0-liter inline-six engine, for a total output of 410 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. That power offers a big jump from even the BMW 335i sedan, and will push the B3 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 190 miles per hour. Alpina's own sport suspension underpins the thing, while the power is modulated by way of a eight-speed automatic transmission.
The new B3 will be easily recognizable thanks to its "Classic" 20-inch, 20-spoke Alpina wheels, and a rather subtle, aero-enhancing body kit. No pricing has yet been announced, but you will find a host of additional information in the attached Alpina press release below.

Daily Driver: 2016 BMW X1

Thu, Dec 3 2015

Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2016 BMW X1, reviewed by Alex Kierstein. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. And don't forget to watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00 ]Hey, everybody. I'm Senior Editor Alex Kierstein and today we're driving the 2016 BMW X1. It's replacing the old X1 and the old X1 was based on BMW's traditional rear-wheel drive platform. That meant the engine was positioned longitudinally, that's north/south in the engine bay. In this application, we've got a transversely mounted turbo charged inline four, making 228 horsepower. [00:00:30] It displaces 2.0 liters and it's part of BMW's new modular engine family. It's a nice engine. It's smooth. It sounds good and it's got a lot of power. This is a little lighter than the previous car. This one weighs 3,660 pounds versus the old X1's 3800 and some change. It's a little bit lighter. The dimensions aren't that much different. If you're wondering why it got smaller, that's because it's using a platform [00:01:00] shared with a lot of BMW's Mini products. This is really the fruition of BMW's investment in the Mini brand because now they're able to use those platforms in the engines they developed for those models in BMWs. This X1 has an 8-speed automatic transmission and it's really a pretty good trans. It kicks down quickly if you call for it to give you some power and for the most part it's smooth and kind of out of your way. [00:01:30] Where Minis are sort of raucous when you really whomp in it, this is a little more restrained. It still delivers power like many of the current turbocharged Minis out there, but there's more refinement here. I really like the external styling on this car. It's wearing this really lovely shade of dark blue and BMW's current styling language lends itself really well to this shape [00:02:00]. It looks really tidy and it's not really that complex or interesting of a shape. It's very much the traditional two-box CUV kind of exterior look and profile, but the detailing is nice. It looks sharp. It looks like a premium product and it looks like a more expensive product than a similar Mini would. BMW used to pride themselves on having simple uncluttered interfaces and even the sort of trimmed down iDrive that's in this unit [00:02:30]. Works pretty well.

BMW's next-century concept mentions no powertrain, and we're sad

Mon, Mar 7 2016

So the Ultimate Driving Machine might soon become the Ultimate Machine Driver. We get it, that's the way things are moving. For its part, BMW still plans to involve a driver in its next-century designs, as foretold by the Vision Next 100 concept it unveiled at its centenary celebration kickoff event. But what gets us is that BMW, Bayerische Motoren Werke, the company known for delivering some of the most sorted powertrains – gasoline and otherwise – over the last century makes no mention of the future of propulsion when presenting its idea of the next 100 years on the road. Maybe it's the fact we just don't know what will power our cars even 10 years down the line; locking into one concept or another could look bad in hindsight. But the whole, er, concept of a concept is to look at what might be possible, not avoid sticky issues. Where are the in-hub motors, the wireless charging mats, the onboard fusion reactors we were promised in Back to the Future Part II? This is an opportunity to offer innovative solutions. Skipping over the power was a mistake, and one that makes me a little disappointed in the company. I'd have liked to see BMW go big with a bold prediction, or even just admit that gas will be gone and some form of electrification will take its place by 2116. We're okay with electric motors as long as they don't drain the life out of cars, and they don't have to, which is something companies like Tesla and even BMW have proven. Here's hoping one of BMW's other centenary concepts will pick up where the Vision Next 100 fell short. Related Video: Featured Gallery BMW Vision Next 100 Concept Green BMW bmw vision next 100 concept
