No Reserve!!!  2003 BMW M3 E46 Coupe with manual transmission for sale.  The car is mystic blue metallic and has approximately 90,000 on it.  I purchased this car in 2013 with 75,000 miles on it.  The car was purchased in the Chicago area but has been driven in northern Mississippi for the past year and a half.  It was my daily driver, always garaged and maintained inside and out.  Oil has been changed every 5k with Castrol TWS 10W - 60.The car is in excellent running order.  This is one of the more rare M3 models.  It is a coupe with a 6 speed manual transmission.  The car does not have a sunroof and has manual cloth/leather seats (non-heated) and a standard CD player, which gives the car added weight savings.

The Good:
  • New rear tires & nearly new front tires
  • New rear springs
  • New rear brake pads (ceramic)
  • Angel Eye Kit
  • Injen cold air intake
  • Dinan performance software upgrade
  • Euro light kit
  • Prewired for Valentine radar system (done by previous owner)
  • 19" Sport Rims

The Bad:
  • Scratches in clear coat on drivers side - repaired and visible only from inside 5 feet
  • Small paint chip on left rear quarter panel  - visible only from inside 5 feet
  • Small scratch on right rear quarter panel - visible only from inside 5 feet
  • Very light rust on underbody in rear (only) in select areas - no issues
  • Hazy film on driver and passenger mirrors - does not obstruct vision
  • Small amounts of curb rash on select rims

Overall this is a very fast and dependable car.  I have owned many BMWs and this is by far my favorite.  You will not be disappointed with this car.  I recently had the car at BMW of Tuscaloosa for an alignment.  The Subframe and Vanos both checked good.  The car is currently located in Columbus, MS, but I may be able to drive the car to the nearest major city or airport if necessary.  Any other questions don't hesitate to ask.  Happy Bidding!!

BMW reveals updated 2016 Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe

Thu, Feb 12 2015

Do you dig the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, but really wanted one with all-wheel drive? We can hardly blame you, considering how well it held up against the Nissan GT-R and Bentley Continental GT in the Australian Outback on a recent episode of Top Gear, despite the disadvantage on driven-wheel count. But that, you see, is where Alpina comes in. The "other M division" offers the a twin-turbo 6 Series Gran Coupe with four-wheel traction – even here in the US – and it's just been upgraded. The 2016 BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe packs a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, just like the M6. But whereas the previous B6 packed less power than its factory counterpart, the new one surpasses it. Thanks to a boost by 60 horsepower and 50 pound-feet of torque, the B6 now cranks out 600 hp and 590 lb-ft – which rather impressively bests the M6 by 40 hp and 90 lb-ft. Plus it's driven to all four wheels. The manufacturer says that's good for a tenth of a second off the 0-60 time, now quoted at 3.6 seconds, with a top speed pegged at 200 miles per hour, making this the fastest Alpina ever offered. The 2016 B6 also benefits from new headlamps, upgraded brakes and reshaped aerodynamic elements, but it's mostly the power boost that makes this the quickest Alpina off the line in the company's history. Related Video: THE NEW BMW ALPINA B6 XDRIVE GRAN COUPE Enhancements for 2016 model year deliver more power and refinement than ever. Woodcliff Lake, N.J. –February 11, 2015... The new 2016 model year BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe gains subtle BMW enhancements and benefits in particular from the results of continuous development by ALPINA. The four-door Gran Coupe, already widely recognized for aesthetic beauty and impressive driving performance, raises the benchmark with exciting new details. The new BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe will become available to order starting in March 2015, with US deliveries slated to begin at BMW Centers in June. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date. The BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is available as a special-order vehicle with capacity-limited production underscoring its exclusivity. The B6's body is manufactured in the BMW 6 Series factory (Plant Dingolfing) and hand-finished with the remaining ALPINA components at the ALPINA factory in Buchloe, Germany. The hand-finishing sequence at ALPINA increases the production lead-time by approximately two weeks.

She's just a girl... who's an E28 fanatic

Tue, 02 Apr 2013

Ashley Rodriguez has a thing for the BMW E28. The amateur train photographer has owned over 15 of the cars in her brief lifetime, and says she's attracted to the old 5 Series because of how rare they are. All told, she's owned every variation of the E28 with the exception of the 2.4td, and the crew from Petrolicious recently stopped by to train their lenses on her most recent acquisition: a lovely M535i. The site's latest video, Rare Things, takes a closer look at just what draws Rodriguez to the E28 and how her passion for the cars has evolved over the years.
As usual, Petrolicious serves up plenty of gorgeous footage of the vintage German sedan, and anyone who's ever harbored an obsession over any one particular model can certainly hear a few chords ring true in Rodriguez's words. Check out the clip below to see what we mean.

The BMW M760i xDrive isn't as cool as the Alpina B7

Thu, Feb 11 2016

Earlier this week, BMW released what we assumed was the new pinnacle of the 7 Series range: the Alpina B7 xDrive. But then we received information about the car you see here, which still isn't a full M7, but uses the name M760i xDrive. What we're trying to figure out is, why would you get the M760i over the brand-new Alpina? Mechanically, and as far as we can tell, the only real difference between the two cars is under the hood. The M760i uses a twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 capable of an estimated 600 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 590 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Thing is, the Alpina B7 also makes 600 hp and 590 lb-ft, albeit at higher points in the rev range, from a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8. Both cars use all-wheel drive. Both cars have eight-speed automatic transmissions. But while the M760i does the 0-62 run in 3.9 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited 155 miles per hour, the Alpina does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and runs to an unrestricted 193 mph. For all intents and purposes, the little details about interior refinement and technology are basically the same. It's a top-of-the-line 7 Series, so no matter if you're doing Alpina or M760i, you're getting the best of the best. To us, though, the Alpina represents a package that's more unique. It's certainly a bit flashier, what with its Alpina-correct 21-inch wheels, blue paint, and body kit. But put the two cars next to each other on the street and ask an unknowing pedestrian which one is top dog, and we're willing to bet they'll say Alpina every time. There's no word on pricing for either version of the 7 Series, but we expect they'll be close. The M760's engine will be more expensive, but all those Alpina upgrades certainly won't come cheap. We'll know more closer to the launch of both later this year and in early 2017. For now, read more about the M760i in the press blast below.
