2003 BMW M3 Convertible . Exceptional Condition!

Excellent 2003 M3 Convertible for sale. This car is in exceptional shape. I am a car enthusiast and this is one of many cars. It is not a daily driver but I do drive it more often than the others. This car is nicely equipped with many extras.

The factory options include...

  • SMG Automatic Transmission
  • Power locks Power mirrors
  • Power windows
  • Heated seats
  • Power soft top
  • Leather
  • Tilt
  • Cruise

The car will also include some awesome aftermarket options that I had professionally installed.

  • Factory hard top with the hard top installation kit (allows all the interior lights to work)
  • A perfect set of BBS Style 5s with polished lip
  • BC Racing fully adjustable coil over suspension
  • Front and rear cross drilled rotors with a larger rotor in the front
  • Larger M3 ZHP front brake calipers
  • Front carbon fiber splitters
  • Rear carbon fiber bumper lower valence
  • Carbon fiber paddle shifters
  • Tinted windows and windshield
  • Aftermarket stereo system ($6000.00+) w/ Kenwood head unit installed in the truck with iPod adapter, Bluetooth hands free phone capability, new front and rear seat JL Audio component speakers for high and low tones, 2 10 inch JL W6 Subs in custom box, and 3 JL Audio Amps to push all the equipment. All this equipment was installed with monster cable and the sounds is exceptionally clear. I did not remove the factory head unit in the dash for a factory look.

I will offer the option of removing the BBS wheels, install the factory wheels and reduce the price $1800.00 if the BBS wheels are not of any interest to you.

I will also offer the option of removing the hardtop for a $1500.00 price reduction.

I would also consider a price reduction by removing the audio equipment.

2015 BMW 228i Convertible

Thu, Feb 5 2015

BMW history is littered with small, four-seater convertibles that offer style, spirited performance and driving flexibility. These days it's the 2 Series range, not the 1 or the 3, that carries on the droptop-driver's-car tradition, and the 2015 228i Convertible will the first flavor of it to hit US shores. With prices starting in the upper $30k range, conservative but attractive exterior styling and just enough interior comforts and amenities to feel like a true-luxury player, the 228i makes a strong initial case for itself as either a first or second vehicle. Concurrent with my First Drive of the 2015 BMW X6 M, the Germans brought along their new 2 for testing along some pretty mellow Texas driving routes outside of Austin. With roads that ranged from sweeping country lanes to small town streets, and weather changing handily from cold and misty to bright and warm, I got a good sample of what the new open-top 2 can do. Drive Notes I'll admit to getting behind the wheel of the 228i convertible with a bit of a bias: the old 1 Series line, including the droptop, was amongst my favorite BMW models in years. In terms of overall character, this 2 Series has mellowed a lot versus the chuckable, cheerful 1er. The steering response isn't quite so whip-fast, and the longer wheelbase means it's less willing to rotate overall. Of course, the 2, especially in convertible form, does feel better suited for the stereotypical small, premium convertible driver, too. Ride quality over our mostly smooth-road drive route was placid and controlled, and steering still felt steady and weighty on center and with lock added in. The car also offers really well-sorted protection from wind buffeting and noise, both with the top raised and lowered. I drove topless on the highway and on surface streets, and was impressed at how cozy I felt with the wind deflector erected and the windows up. Cold-weather convertiblers should do well with this BMW (especially when the xDrive AWD car launches, later in the year). Erect the folding soft top – a feature that's available at speeds up to 30 miles per hour – and the NVH experience is transformed. BMW says that the top-up wind noise has been reduced "by half" versus the 1 Series – a fact that I had no trouble believing after the first few seconds. Wind rush is basically eliminated with the roof raised, and the car becomes a downright conversational space thusly set up.

China probing German automakers over spare parts

Sat, 26 Jul 2014

The Chinese market has proven to be a boon to German luxury automakers. However, the way that the companies have allegedly been controlling their supply of spare parts has begun to draw the ire of the nation's government. According to insiders speaking to Bloomberg, officials from the country's economic planning organization have opened a probe into Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and some Japanese carmakers over claimed price inflation and limiting supply.
Specifically, the investigation centers around two aspects of how the companies do business, according to Bloomberg. Investigators want to know whether the original equipment component makers are able to sell spare parts only to automaker-authorized dealers or if they are also available to independent shops. There is also the issue of whether the price markup on replacement pieces is too high. The tight controls could be partially explained by China's reputation for producing counterfeit parts.
Evidently, the investigators haven't checked parts prices at car dealers elsewhere in the world. At least in the US, paying more at the dealer for factory components just goes along with owning a vehicle. If evidence of price fixing is found, the companies could face fines the equivalent of millions of dollars, according to Bloomberg.

Xcar checks if BMW's i8 offers moves as electrifying as its looks

Sat, 02 Aug 2014

If you were to plot the general opinion about hybrids since their introduction among auto enthusiasts, the resulting graph would likely be shaped somewhat like a "V." In the beginning interest was high, simply due the novelty of these new powertrains, then the line would gradually fall as the models got the stereotype of being boring commuters. Today, though, things might be back on the upswing. Vehicles like the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and BMW i8 are showing that a hybrid doesn't have to be synonymous for dull. In its latest video, Xcar Films aims to find out if BMW's electrified sports coupe actually earns the brand's old moniker as the ultimate driving machine.
While the focus here is on what the i8 is like behind the wheel, one of the main highlights for the viewer is the interesting ways that Xcar shoots the BMW. It's not necessarily a beautiful vehicle, but seeing it in motion reveals all sorts of little intricacies that still photos don't pick up. For example, our eye catches the flying buttresses and little crevices scooped out of the corners when we get a look at the rear. It's just a fun car to look at.
With its 1.5-liter, turbocharged, three-cylinder engine and electric motor, the i8 positions itself as the future of automotive performance. But its intriguing looks and cutting-edge use of carbon fiber would be wasted if the coupe didn't drive well. We won't spoil the final verdict, though, you'll have to watch the video above.
