Car is located in Indiana PA. For sale is a 1995 bmw 325i that has been completely swapped over to M3 specs or above. It has a 99 3.2l bottom end with 123,000 miles on it with obd1and M50 manifold on top. It has afe 3.5 intake attached to 3.5" HFM and the samco 3.5 to 3" boot. It has a cometic MLS head gasket, ARP head studs, schrick 256 264 cams, 255 lph fuel pump with 24lb blue top injectors, bav auto obd1 coil packs, Epic valve springs, 413 red label dme, aluminum radiator, E34 M5 clutch upgrade with grip force flywheel. The car has no issues mechanically and is driven almost daily. The suspension has all been swapped over to M3 parts along with the brakes. It has M3 side skirts, front bumper, side mirrors, badges, door sills, floor mats (brand new), instrument cluster.  Rear bumper is 325i.  The car was dynod at over 230 rwhp before the intake system and uuc underdrive pulleys were installed. The brakes are great, the suspension has no issues and performs even better than my low mileage 1997 M3 I used to own.  It has new struts, shocks, motor and transmission mounts, front control arms, new M front spindles and hubs/bearings, M3 sway bars, mounts, and ends installed within the last 10K miles.  Rear sub frame and trailing arms were swapped from another car and have rebuilt r tabs, bushings, and mounts.  The car also has front strut mount and rear subframe mount reinforcement plates welded on. It has M rear axles.  It has a Euro M3 instrument cluster and comes with a us spec M3 stock one also. The front seats are 325i sport seats, not M3 seats. Rear are M3 seats. It has a 5 speed Zf transmission (stronger). The paint is good and catches eyes from 10 feet away but has probably 8 dings when you get real close and some scratches that show up close. The car is rust free as it lived most of its life in Virginia. Interior carpet is not great but looks ok.  With a little tlc this car could be about perfect and it pulls like a train to redline. The vin will confirm that it is not an M3 but a 325i but all that means is cheaper insurance. A stock m3 is anemic by comparison.  I owned a 97 M3 and this car is a different animal.  It idles at around 900 rpms which I hardly notice and has good road manners putting around town.  At 4K rpms the car takes off.  Its a jekyll and hyde above and below 4K rpms. The car also has a UUC cup holder that holds large beverages securely, UUC underdrive pulleys, and comes with a UUC  short shift kit with dssr that are brand new, in the box, included with car.  The AC works as it should and it has Nitto invo sport tires with lots of life left.

The passenger side rear door lock is lazy sometimes.  The passenger front seat electric recline button does not function properly, it moves up and back but doesn't recline.  I pictured a repair on the driver side door where the rubber weather stripping is that was done poorly.  The interior driver door is missing the weather stripping, it doesn't affect operation but should be replaced as it limits road noise.  The center clip holding on the driver side skirt needs replaced.  It can be done with a screwdriver and your hand but I don't have a clip.  I tried to picture the overall condition of the paint. It has some scratches and wear and up close you can see its not new paint.  The hood and front bumper were repainted and look good and match.  The car will tell you coolant is low because it has a metal coolant reservoir the car does not recognize and sometimes the computer tells your the low beams had a failure but they always work.  If the car sits idling in traffic for an extended period on a hot day the check engine light will come on.  Hasn't come on for a while because 90 degree temperatures have left but it will.  I have been told this is because of the overlap in the cam running hotter and it will kill the o2 sensor quicker.  As soon as you turn the car off it clears the check engine light.  I've driven the car daily and have had no mechanical issues.  This car would run anywhere, anytime with stock reliability.  The E36 straight 6 engines are known for there reliability and durability.    724 541-2655

Audi overtakes BMW as adulterers' favorite car brand

Fri, 14 Jun 2013

As Audi hopes to surpass BMW as the top-selling luxury automaker, sometimes it has to look at the small victories, too. For instance, IllicitEncounters.com - a UK dating site for married folks (also known as adultery) - is reporting that a recent poll shows that more people willing to cheat on their spouses drive an Audi. Last year, this same poll showed that BMW was the car-of-choice for adulterers.
With Audi on top (pun intended) and BMW bumped to number two, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Volkswagen round out the top five car brands owned by unfaithful wives and husbands. Check out the poll over at IllicitEncounters.com, but be sure to clear your browser history afterward. You know, just to make sure your spouse doesn't get the wrong idea about the websites you visit.

BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage evokes classic 1970s Bimmer design

Fri, May 22 2015

BMW enjoys taking advantage of the annual Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este as an opportunity to re-imagine some of company's vintage shapes in modern ways with concepts like the M1 Hommage, 328 Hommage, Concept 90 motorcycle, and even last year's Mini Superleggera. This year's event on the shores of Lake Como is no different, and the Bavarian brand is celebrating one of its great sports coupes from the 1970s with the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage. Bathed in a shade called Golf Yellow that perfectly evokes the era of the original, the Hommage's design seems to incorporate a few cues from the current 6 Series into the classic look of the 3.0 CSL. However, the front end is actually a little ungainly to our eyes due to the massive grille, and the fenders that fold up over the hood. The laser headlights are a great touch because their X-shaped centers are inspired by old racecars. The design improves significantly in profile and really starts to show the inspiration from the original 3.0 CSL. This concept has some beautiful rear haunches, and the big, creased fenders lead the eye to the massive rear wing. The back end also maintains much of the vintage design, including the roof spoiler, but the shape gets modern touches. So while the source of this inspiration was a bit angular, the lines have been gently curved for the Hommage. Of course, a CSL must be lightweight, as signified by the last letter in its name. Where the original uses aluminum and Plexiglas to shed pounds, the Hommage uses carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic parts throughout the body. The interior is also made from CFRP, and occupants sit in quilted racing buckets. An especially cool touch is the V-shaped cross-member at the back that evokes the look of a roll cage, while being a bit more artistic. The only indication that BMW is giving about the 3.0 CSL Hommage's powertrain is that it uses an inline six with eBoost, but as a concept the engine doesn't really matter, anyway. Get a good look at the whole design in the gallery above. BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage. Racing flair with a touch of class. Munich/Cernobbio. Amid the audacious design studies and automotive beauties from a bygone era gathered at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, the BMW Group presents its new BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage – and in the process makes a pretty formidable statement of its own. This model is the BMW Design Team's tribute to the 3.0 CSL, a timeless classic and iconic BMW Coupe from the 1970s.

BMW X5 driver repeatedly fails to understand big rig braking distances

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

Nobody should be shocked that a big, heavy vehicle like a semi truck takes a longer distance to stop than the average passenger car; it's just basic physics. However, this BMW X5 driver seemingly has a major problem grasping the concept, and it results in some serious damage to the back of his SUV.
The whole incident is very confusing to watch. The BMW doesn't even seem to have a reason to slow down before the semi slams into the back of it at fairly high speed. But to make the situation even weirder, the crashes just keep happening again and again.
To give the BMW driver a little credit, he appears amazingly calm when surveying the damage afterward. But you have to wonder what this guy was thinking when trying a harebrained move like this. Check out the video to watch the carnage unfold.
