1988 Bmw E30 M3 Amazing Rare Vehicle! Jim Conforti, 0 Miles On Fully Rebuilt Eng on 2040-cars
Upland, California, United States
1988 BMW E30 ///M3 ~PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING~ -Re-listed due to a childish bidder- If you need to ask permission before bidding, don't waste your time- Will provide more pictures upon request! This beauty is at 85% full restoration (RUST FREE), Engine is out of vehicle and is awaiting a valve adjustment.
This 1988 E30 M3 Painted Speed Yellow! Pictures do not do the vehicles color justice! Exterior of the vehicle has been painted while the door jams, under the hood and under the trunk are still Dakar Yellow. Vehicle's original color is Salmon Silver Metallic, the original owner had the vehicle painted when the Dakar color was released, There is no sign of the original paint color anywhere except a little behind the rear seat (seat has to be removed enable to see this color) Original black interior. Well Maintained with an 1 binder filled with records that go back to the 90s for this vehicle! This vehicle was not abused it was passed down from family member to family member then I had the lucky chance to purchase it.
Vehicle is in great physical condition with 202,286 miles on the chassis, and 0 miles on rebuilt motor, Car has been prepped and restored ground up, NO EXPENSES SPARED at this time, by a local BMW shop that has been specializing in bmws for the past 20+ years. Interior of the vehicle is in decent clean shape this was my next adventure for the vehicle, their are a few cracks in the dash (a very common e30 problem) Nothing that a dash cap couldn't fix, as well as normal wear throughout the interior, Driver seat has a few tears, rest of the seats are tear free. Interior is clean otherwise. Vehicle does not have a stereo! Why would you need one in a vehicle like this?!?! Vehicle has the following mods; - Jim Conforti Chip - H&R Springs - Racing Dynamics Adjustable Anti Roll bars F+R - Momo Steering wheel - Short Shifter Items Installed around 196k Miles - Sachs clutch/pressure plate/ clutch master cylinder/ clutch slave cylinder - Lower control arms and control arm bushing - Racing Dynamic sway bar bushings - Urethane Transmission Mounts - Distributor Cap + Distributor rotor These are just some of the mods and new parts, I know I am forgetting others.
No Shortcuts were taken in this project, My intentions were to make it perfect to my liking and keep the vehicle for as long as I could. Original motor threw a rod so i had to purchase a new block, crankshaft, rods and pistons. Engine has been fully rebuilt from ground up meaning there is 0 miles on the motor painted dakar yellow, its just paint obviously you as the new owner can paint it as you please, ALL OEM parts were used, Only thing that is needed is a valve adjustment, then you would have a perfect s14 engine. Crankshaft polished, complete valve job, ALL new gaskets, New head bolts, new oil pump, new oil pump shims, New rod bearings, new connecting rod bolts, new main bearings, few thousand miles on water pump, new piston ring set, ALL SIZES ARE STANDARD. New timing chains, new timing guides except one (still in perfect condition). (I'm probably forgetting somethings) Vehicle and Engine sold together, once again engine is out of vehicle awaiting a valve adjustment and installation. I do not have the tools nor capital to continue this adventure. Vehicle is sold AS-IS where is, no if ands or buts! Vehicle is located in Montclair, California with a CLEAR New Mexico Title. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and transportation needs for this vehicle.
DO NOT waste my time or yours. Do your research and ask questions. If you are bidding on this vehicle please have a feedback of at least 3+ if you are below this amount please email me ahead of time, there is to many scams going on and fake bidders. Also HAVE your FINANCES in order before bidding.
This could be a fun quick project for the right person or family. The value of this vehicle is only rising by day. I want this vehicle to go to someone that knows what the true meaning of the e30 m3 is and will care for it and love it as much as I did. Trust me if I didn't have to sell it I wouldn't sell it. -Vehicle is also sold locally- ~Happy Holidays~ |

Upcoming new BMW X6 leaks out ahead of full reveal
Thu, 05 Jun 2014The X5 may have been the first BMW crossover on the market when it arrived in 2000, opening the door to more high-riding Bavarians to follow, but it's been replaced twice over now. The X3 is on its second generation, and with the X1 having been introduced in 2009 and the X4 soon to hit showrooms, that makes the X6 - introduced in 2008 - the oldest crossover in the BMW lineup. But it won't be for much longer.
Soon BMW will reveal the all-new X6, based on the latest X5 but with that tell-tale slanted roofline. But before it gets the chance, a handful of images have leaked their way all over the Internet to give us an advance look at what to expect.
The overall shape of the new X6 comes across as familiar, if a bit less of an awkward take on the vehicle that (for better or worse) launched the crossover coupe segment. Up front the twin kidney grilles and headlights are larger, in keeping with the latest BMW design language, and the bumper less horizontal and more dynamic. Towards the back there's a sharp crease above the wheel arch blending into the more rakishly shaped tail lights, while the metallic vent behind the front wheel arch lends the flank an even sportier appearance.
BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe caught again
Tue, 02 Apr 2013It's been a while since we've seen the upcoming BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe out testing, but we're sort of inclined to ask "Why?" yet again. After all, the 4 Series is what the new 3 Series-based coupes and convertibles will be called, so the idea of another four-door version just sort of seems redundant. In other words, just how different will a 4 Series Gran Coupe be from a 3 Series sedan, aside from perhaps a more rakish roofline or a four-passenger seating configuration? Probably not much, but BMW clearly thinks it can use the additional bodystyle to rake in some extra profits.
Anyway, back to these spy shots. No more of the 4GC's skin has been revealed since the last time we saw it, but we fully expect it to share a lot of its design DNA with the 3 Series sedan, not to mention the attractive 4 Series coupe concept that bowed at this year's Detroit Auto Show.
Powertrain options should carry over direct from the 3 Series line, so we expect to see 428i and 435i models on hand, packing turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines, respectively. We're sure that BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive will be available, and who knows, we could even get a 428d version with the new 2.0-liter turbodiesel four that debuted in the 328d at the New York Auto Show last week, or even an M4 variant.
134K BMW 5 Series recalled for taillight issue
Fri, 20 Sep 2013BMW is voluntarily recalling 134,100 cars due to a faulty ground terminal in the taillight bulb carriers, causing the sudden failure of brake lights, turn signals and reverse lights. The recall covers 2008 through 2010 5 Series models produced between March 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009, and includes everything from the 528i to the mighty, V10-powered M5. It's unclear if this recall is limited to sedans or extends to the 5-Series Touring.
There have been no reported cases of injuries, fatalities or crashes associated with the taillight issue. BMW will be issuing recall notices to affected owners in the coming weeks, asking them to report to dealers so that the bulb carriers on the taillights can be replaced. All repairs are, naturally, free of charge. Scroll down for the official recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
