This is a very fine condition 2000 model year BMW M Roadster.  It is not a concours winner, but is in very well maintained condition and all the important stuff is right, such as:
- No rust ever anywhere
- No dents or dings
- Shiny/glossy, well maintained original paint
- Interior does not look tired or worn, very fresh, no rips/tears
- New Dunlop Direzzas all around; (255/40) rears within last 1,000 miles, (225/45) fronts within last 10K.
- I believe the last owner put a new cloth top on just before I bought it, because the condition is excellent.  Only minor fold scuff on plastic window.  You can see top and window condition in photos, very good condition.
- New sway bar links/bushings (checked rotors and pads while I had everything off, and they look fine for another 10K anyway.
- Polished head light lenses last fall
- New emblems on hood and decklid, as they were starting to fade a little
- 3 owner car, all BMW enthusiasts who took good care of it, including frequent synthetic oil changes and all filters.
The car's few imperfections
- small piece (about 3'8" long) of driver's door tweeter bezel missing, I took a picture of it
- normal stone pecking and curb rash for a vehicle its age (worst of it in the photo)
- Analog electric clock does not keep accurate time
- Windows go down somewhat slowly, but go up normal speed.  Might need some lube on weatherstrips.
- Shift knob emblem has air bubbles under the acrylic.  It didn't bother me enough to replace it with a non-original part
While this car is not concours condition, it is a well maintained driver, that has NEVER seen snow, and rarely been in rain.  I only goes out from May to October after all the salt has been washed off the road.  You could take this car to your local car show and be very proud of her.  If you have been following these cars values, you know that the M roadsters have already begun to appreciate (not so the normal Z3s yet); so it is a decent investment as well.  I love this car and do not want to sell it, but need to make room in the garage.  The car doesn't need anything, it is ready to give years of pleasure and reliable driving.
The car is priced very fairly with the buy it now very close to blue book, and the reserve below book.  If you are realistic, a very fine car is waiting for you.  All funds must clear before I will release vehicle, and I will support whoever you choose for shipping, but shipping is buyer responsibility.  Have fun, and good luck!

The 570-hp AC Schnitzer ACL2 Concept tries to one-up the M2
Wed, Mar 2 2016AC Schnitzer's new ACL2 concept aims to outdo the BMW M2 at the Geneva Motor Show. To out-muscle the latest M car, the German tuner starts with an M235i and installs the M4's 3.0-liter inline-six. The company also turns up the power to 570 horsepower – a healthy upgrade over 365 hp from the M2's 3.0-liter. The power bump lets the ACL2 reach 62 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 205 miles per hour, AC Schnitzer claims. Those figures make the coupe a few tenths quicker than the M2's 4.2-second to 60 mph sprint, but BMW limits its creation to 155 mph. AC Schnitzer's long list of upgrades makes the impressive performance possible. To get the most out of the engine, the company installs a carbon fiber intake. It also replaces the most of the exhaust, including the downpipe, catalytic converter and tailpipes. Carbon-ceramic brake discs make sure a driver can control so much power, and the company fits a fully adjustable suspension to aid handling. The ACL2's body is too loud for our tastes even through the subdued dark green paint, but the extensive use of carbon fiber parts should keep weight down. AC Schnitzer adds a road-scraping front splitter with canards at each corner. The rear has a similarly aggressive diffuser and huge wing. The wider fenders also add 5.5 inches to the coupe's width, and 20-inch wheels sit underneath them. The ACL2 doesn't get to challenge the M2 on the Autobahn yet because AC Schnitzer says it's just a concept. The coupe exists simply for the company's product development. However, if you want to put all of these bits together, the final cost would be 149,000 euros ($161,500 at current exchange rates), the tuner claims. Related Video:
BMW i8 Spyder production could still be years away
Thu, Jan 21 2016BMW will still build a convertible version of the i8, but production of the droptop hybrid sports car won't happen for at least a couple more years. That's according to an anonymous BMW insider speaking to Motoring. "There will be no new i models in 2016. Not even the convertible," the insider told the Australian publication. While the i8 Spyder might not arrive for a while, the company still sees a place for it in the model range. "The i8 is selling well enough now, so the lineup doesn't strictly need it," another unnamed BMW insider told Motoring. "We are doing it, we are just doing it slowly because it's not all we are doing." The automaker sold 2,265 examples of the i8 in the US in 2015, which was up from 555 in 2014. BMW first imagined the convertible i8 with the Spyder concept way back in 2012, and a report in 2013 hinted that it was near production, which never happened. The company then sliced off the sports car's doors and roof for the orange I Vision Future (pictured above) at the recent 2016 Consumer Electronics Show. The concept's open design gave BMW an easy place to show off the AirTouch gesture control system at the tech event. These insider claims are a complete reversal from BMW CEO Harald Kruger's assertion in December that the company would soon unveil the production i8 Spyder. The boss didn't indicate the debut's exact timing, but it seemed a lot sooner than at least a year from now. We'll have to wait and see. Related Video:
BMW pays tribute with Z4 racing livery
Tue, Mar 17 2015Whether it's from Martini or BMW, there's something that makes us a little weak in the knees when we see a racing livery of dark blue, light blue and red stripes over white. Like the one on this BMW racer that will compete at Sebring next weekend. Presented alongside its spiritual predecessor at Amelia Island this weekend, this BMW Z4 GTLM has been decked out in a throwback version of the Bavarian automaker's iconic color scheme. It's a tribute to the BMW 3.0 CSL that scored the marque's first victory at the legendary Floridian endurance race 40 years ago and even wears the same number 25. It's as good a reason as any to bring back a racing livery we love, but then we'd probably take just about any occasion to appreciate it anyway. 40 years after the first win in Sebring: BMW presents anniversary design of the BMW Z4 GTLM for the 12-hour race. Munich (DE), 14th March 2015. On 21st March, BMW Team RLL will contest the 63rd staging of the legendary 12-hour race of Sebring (US) in the US state of Florida. The endurance classic is also the second race of the 2015 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). BMW Motorsport and BMW of North America celebrate a special anniversary on their return to Sebring this season: 40 years ago, BMW Motorsport got its first Sebring victory, with the BMW 3.0 CSL. In honour of that success, the two BMW Z4 GTLMs of BMW Team RLL will sport special designs as they compete on the "Sebring International Raceway". Car number 25 will carry the colours of the winning BMW 3.0 CSL of 1975. At an unveiling ceremony, which was part of the "Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance" in northern Florida, BMW of North America presented the anniversary design of the vehicles to the public for the first time. Many of the successful heroes of that time took the opportunity to attend the presentation. Forty years after the historic victory, then winners Brian Redman (US), Sam Posey (US) and Hans-Joachim Stuck (DE) were reunited on Amelia Island. Jochen Neerpasch, the first managing director of BMW Motorsport GmbH, and BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt were also among the guests. They all had front row seats as current BMW Team RLL driver Bill Auberlen (US) completed the first presentation laps in the BMW Z4 GTLM with the anniversary design. 1975 was a significant year in the history of BMW in North America: BMW of North America was founded, and just a few days later came the historic first victory with the BMW 3.0 CSL in Sebring.
