It has been in two accidents - professionally repaired. Drives with no problems and goes straight down the road. I recently drove it from Illinois to Texas and would not hesitate to take it cross country. The Car Fax has a discrepancy in the mileage that causes it to cast doubt on the mileage. The mileage on the odometer is actual. I am the fourth owner and can give you history for the past three years. It sat in storage for about 8 years. It needs to be taken to BMW for resetting the service light as I do my own oil changes using Mobile One. The air bag light is on and the traction control light is on. The traction control light is due to the right hand rear sensor not being in place due to a missing clip. Car is for sale due to marital problems. interior is in excellent condition. Exterior minor chips and one small area of damage in front bumper. call Ed at 217 433 1304 for more info. get an M Coupe at a bargain price."

If you are interested in owning a M Coupe at a bargain price this is the one.  The body is straight and has minor paint chips.  Air conditioning, seats, radio, sunroof, etc. all work.  the drivers window is a bit slow but still works.  Nearly new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

The interior is not torn, faded or damaged.  The engine starts and runs smoothly with no noises or problems, the transmission shifts smoothly with no problems or noises.

Overall this is a drivers or enthusiasts BMW, not a purists.  If you are looking for a super clean M Coupe with no history and in flawless condition then keep looking.  This car is in very good condition for its age and will provide many years of reliable driving excitement.  Due to its history of accidents the car will sell at below market.  If you are looking to purchase a reliable car to drive then this is it.

BMW i3 to start at $41,350*

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

With a week to go before the global debut of the BMW i3, BMW has announced pricing for its first-ever production electric vehicle. The all-electric version of the i3 goes on sale in the second quarter of next year with a starting price of $41,350 (*not including $925 for destination nor any applicable government tax credits).
Some of the pricing elements for the i3 that BMW continues to withhold are the cost of the model using a gasoline motorcycle engine as a range-extending generator, or that of the DC Fast Charge option. This latter feature will allow the i3's depleted lithium-ion battery pack to get an 80 percent charge in just 20 minutes; for comparison's sake, the DC quick charge feature is a $750 option on the 2014 Chevy Spark EV.
Sure, we've already driven the BMW i3, but the production version of the BMW EV - promising the interior space of a BMW 3 Series - will be unveiled next week at simultaneous ceremonies in New York, London and Beijing. Scroll down for BMW's brief press blast regarding its upcoming i3.

2013 BMW M6 Coupe

The Act And The Exclamation
The 2013 BMW M6 is a rolling obscenity - one that begins with the capital letter "F." It is both the act and the exclamation, the curse and the encouragement. It courts no logic. It is all want and no need, and it is unbecoming of the BMW roundel. Whereas the brand's products once strove to unite man and machine in a duet of blissful performance, the M6 seems built solely to stand between the driver and the road. You are very clearly in its way every second you're behind the wheel, slowing it down and generally being the Monday morning to its two-day trance festival. It's clear this car is very fast, but it has no interest in making you fast in the way that the M3 or even the M5 are wont to do.
But somehow, all that doesn't stop the car from stoking every last lick of lust in your gut. A 560-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 will do that for you.

Watch the BMW M4 drift around an aircraft carrier

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

A Nimitz-class American aircraft carrier is big. Really, really big. After all, it has to be, in order to launch and recover a wide array of military aircraft. But when it's not catapulting F/A-18 Super Hornets and E-2 Hawkeyes into the wild blue yonder, what exactly can you use its 1,040-foot long flight deck for? Well, BMW seems to have an idea.
Now, obviously BMW hasn't paid Uncle Sam to convert the deck of the USS John C. Stennis into a racetrack (but what an idea!). That doesn't make this video of an Austin Yellow M4 slipping and sliding its way around the carrier deck any less entertaining. The video itself comes, weirdly considering the US aircraft carrier, from BMW of Canada, and we aren't really sure what the point of it is. There's no voiceover, or title or closing screens to lend the scene any context, and it seems unlikely that this sort of seemingly high-dollar video wouldn't be done sheerly for giggles. Whatever the reason for its existence, it's worth a watch.
Scroll down and have a look.
