What we have here is a 1991 BMW 850i, white coupe with a 5.0 V12 engine and automatic transmission.  This vehicle sold for nearly $100,000 when new, and is one of the top-of-the-line BMWs.  It is a very good looking car, and it loves to run fast.  It is fitted with low-profile wheels and tires which make it look that much better.

Hemmings' Sports and Exotic Car magazine recently did a Buyer's Guide article on its little brother, the 840i; check it out here:  http://www.hemmings.com/hsx/stories/2013/02/01/hmn_buyers_guide1.html

I really hate to sell this one but you can't keep 'em all.

THE GOOD:  V12, looks hot, drives great.  Transmission was gone through just before I got the car.  All the paper is with the car.  Odometer shows 154,000 miles.  Also, this car is a certified chick magnet.  Really, I had a good-looking girl getting up in the thing within minutes of my buying it. (Your mileage may vary.)

THE BAD:  Crack in lower right back glass.  Nothing in center stack works.  Speedometer doesn't work.

THE UGLY:  Buyer responsible for all taxes.  Vehicle is to be picked up at our location.  No warranty expressed or implied.  Vehicle for sale locally, so I may end this listing if I sell the vehicle here or just decide I can't go through with selling it.

If you would like more info, contact us at the "ask a question" link up there at the top.  You are welcome to stop by and check it out, or just visit.  We are located one mile off I-16 right smack dab in the middle of Georgia.

If, by any chance, this is not the vehicle you are looking for, or you need parts or service, contact us at the "ask a question" link above.  If we don't have what you are looking for, we will be more than happy to try to find it for you.

Thanks for looking,

BMW i3 to start at $41,350*

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

With a week to go before the global debut of the BMW i3, BMW has announced pricing for its first-ever production electric vehicle. The all-electric version of the i3 goes on sale in the second quarter of next year with a starting price of $41,350 (*not including $925 for destination nor any applicable government tax credits).
Some of the pricing elements for the i3 that BMW continues to withhold are the cost of the model using a gasoline motorcycle engine as a range-extending generator, or that of the DC Fast Charge option. This latter feature will allow the i3's depleted lithium-ion battery pack to get an 80 percent charge in just 20 minutes; for comparison's sake, the DC quick charge feature is a $750 option on the 2014 Chevy Spark EV.
Sure, we've already driven the BMW i3, but the production version of the BMW EV - promising the interior space of a BMW 3 Series - will be unveiled next week at simultaneous ceremonies in New York, London and Beijing. Scroll down for BMW's brief press blast regarding its upcoming i3.

EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.

BMW 1 Series sedan interior revealed

Sun, 09 Nov 2014

The next BMW 1 Series Sedan has made another appearance following our last peek at it in September, and this time, the gallery of images even reveals part of the new car's interior.
Of course, if these images prove anything, it's that manufacturers take camouflage of the interior just as seriously as they do the exterior. We can see in these images a fairly simple cabin, with what looks like a fixed central display. It's quite small, although the housing itself is rather large, so we could be looking at a more basic form of iDrive rather than the full-featured set. Overall, though, this cabin more or less confirms that the 1 Series Sedan will fit in with the rest of the BMW family quite nicely.
Outside of the interior images, though, there isn't a lot of new stuff revealed by these images. As for when we'll see both the interior and exterior fully undisguised, our spies continue pointing to a 2016 debut with a 2017 on-sale date.
