This BMW 740IL sport is the last production year for this car. This particular car was made one month before production of this model ended. Car is factory optioned with 18 inch sport wheels, shadow line trim, keyless entry, illuminated entry, security, sport suspension, Steptronic transmission, power tilt and telescopic three spoke sports steering wheel, widescreen navigation, trip computer, Bluetooth calling and audio, sunroof, Home link, heated seats front and rear, auto dimming heated and power mirrors, HID headlamps, headlamp washers, power sun shade, EDC, ABS, TCS, one touch windows, rain sensing wipers, power comfort seat option, soft close trunk, full size spare and more. This car has always been garaged and properly maintained. Everything functions as is should. This car is a perfect example of one that has been responsibly owned. This E38 model is known to be the better built much more reliable model to its replacement model from 2002-on. The typical services these require have all been preformed with OEM parts. This car needs nothing. I have all of the original keys, and manuals. Mileage is due to change slightly since I travel form Indianapolis to Columbus OH weekly for work. BMW 2 Series Active Tourer getting third row
Sat, 23 Aug 2014In what enthusiasts will likely see as a continued attempt to dilute the BMW brand, the German manufacturer is testing a three-row variant of its already controversial 2 Series Active Tourer. Our trusty spy photographers captured images of the new, front-drive MPV testing on the roads of Europe.
The easiest way to ID this more passenger friendly 2er is its slightly longer length, which will allow it to accommodate seven people in total. As our spies point out, this should make the 2AT an attractive proposition for European taxi companies. Yep, BMW built a car that will be praised by taxi drivers. On top of the extra seats, the rear overhang appears larger as well, which should mean extra cargo space.
This, of course, is not the first time we've captured images of a new 2AT variant undergoing testing. Back in May, we spotted a hybrid-powered variant out for a drive.
BMW shuffles chairs in its design department

BMW 1 Series getting a small nose job
Tue, 06 Aug 2013As BMW prepares to launch its new 2 Series lineup, it appears that the current 1 Series is going to get a little attention for itself. Based on these spy photos, the 1 Series hatchback (F20/F21), which is not offered in the US, will be getting a minor facelift in the near future.
From what we can see in these images, the updated 1 Series will definitely be getting a tweaked front end, with most of the attention focusing on the air intakes and grille. Our shooter tells us that it is possible that the headlights may yet be reworked in some way by the time we see this car in production form. It still isn't clear if we'll ever see this bodystyle or the next-gen 1 Series in the US, but our most recent report seems to indicate that the car's fortunes will depend somewhat on how well the Mercedes CLA-Class and Audi A3 sell.
