2001 BMW 740I sport with only 62k. Runs and drives great. Looks great too. 2 owner vehicle-originally from Florida. Second owner bought it in 2004. Has been garage kept and was not driven during the winter. I will try to get pictures of underneath-it is unbelievable how clean it is. I have been driving it for the past month and a half and am having a difficult time parting ways with it. Granted it has low miles , the interior does show a little wear. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it an 8. The minimum wear is very visible in the pictures. The most obvious spot is driver's side armrest. Driver's seat shows a little wear. All other seats otherwise in good condition. All buttons in really good condition. All pixels are fully lit including instrument cluster. It has a battery light that stays on, tested the alternator and it is charging correctly, checked battery and it is in good condition-it puts out 850 cranking amps perfectly fine. I was told from the service station that I have to go to a BMW dealer to have light reset. I sent out instrument cluster to BBA and have receipt. They tested the cluster for battery light issue and found nothing wrong with it. There is no check engine light on. It has 2 keys with working beepers and one valet key. The body is in really good shape with only very minor chips-one on drivers side front fender. No dents or dings. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 9. The paint has a really nice shine, and all BMW logos are in good condition. Michelin tires that have less than 1000k on them. Oil change done within the last 500 miles. The oil I use is Molly Lube 5W40S. AC blows nice and cold. All sunscreen shades in working condition with no rips. All power options work as they should. It is not to often that you come across a 7series with such low miles and in such great condition. Overall I would give this car an 8.5 rating. It is a very nice car that is a pleasure to drive with great power, but is still great on gas. I am open to reasonable offers-so I may end it early for the right offer. Feel free to email or call with any questions. Lou 401-744-9914.

BMW V8-powered Ford Model A is the definition of Hot Rod
Thu, 20 Jun 2013Today, hotrodding has a pretty staid definition. Take one classic American car, add one classic American V8, sprinkle with tire smoke and you pretty much have every hot rod to roll out of a shop in the last 40 years. Mike Borroughs knows it wasn't always this way. Once upon a time, getting your bucket to go faster meant grabbing whatever parts were lazing about the yard, bolting them together with a bit of ingenuity and laughing your way down the quarter mile. It's in that spirit that Burroughs built his 1928 Ford Model A.
Rather than turn to the tired flathead or the common Chevrolet small block, Burroughs plucked a 4.0-liter V8 from a 1995 BMW 7 Series. With 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, the engine has no trouble shuffling the old A around town. He had to build a custom chassis to get everything to cooperate, but the result is a 1,500-pound heathen that looks built to harass dry lake beds. You can check it out in the video below. Be warned, the soundtrack by Hanni el Khatib may not be safe for work - awesomeness of this caliber rarely is.
BMW M4 Concept bows, takes handoff from M3 Coupe
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Remember how, when the first BMW M4 Concept images leaked earlier today, we told you the official information would be coming later this evening? Well, scratch that. The whole kit and caboodle is now online, meaning all the official details are below, as well as a full gallery of high-res images above.
The replacement for the M3 Coupe, the Concept M4 Coupe shares a number of styling similarities with its dearly departed forbearer. To us, it's kind of like a mishmash of greatest hits from the new 4 Series and the old M3. The 4 Series headlights have grown on us, and the side grilles, which are part of BMW's Air Curtain and Air Breather system, are functional.
The power dome in the hood is smaller than on the M3, but is of a similar shape, while the rear diffuser and exhaust treatment look like they're lifted straight from the old car, aside from being finished in carbon fiber. Speaking of which, the carbon fiber roof sports a new touch, a cool BMW M tri-color that runs the length of the roof on the driver's side. The 20-inch M alloy wheels come in a twin five-spoke design, which has sort of become a calling card of BMW's M cars in recent years. Hiding behind those meaty wheels are M's carbon-ceramic brakes.
M235i outpoints 911, Corvette in CR testing, becomes highest-scoring BMW ever
Fri, 27 Jun 2014Good news just keeps coming for BMW, as Consumer Reports has just handed out a stunner of a verdict - the M235i, a spritely, 320-horsepower coupe that starts at just $43,100 has bested the likes of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Porsche 911, vehicles that can easily cost twice as much and come to battle with considerably more power.
CR awarded the spiritual successor to the 1 Series M Coupe a score of 98 out of 100, beating out the 911 and the Stingray by three and six points, respectively. In fact, the M235i is remarkably close to the Tesla Model S' 99, making it one of the highest scores CR has ever handed out. It's also, not surprisingly, the highest-rated BMW ever.
Of the M235i's many attributes, Consumer Reports cited the car's performance potential as well as its quiet ride and comfort for front-seat passengers. While it's a shock to no one, CR called out the limited space in the backseats as well as some finicky controls as this Bimmer's biggest shortcomings.
