1985 Bmw 735i Base Sedan 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Pound Ridge, New York, United States
Beautiful classic 1985 735i -
Repainted by previous owner to match bright blue in BMW logo, rubber moldings replaced, short throw transmission, lowered suspension. Great fun car to drive, all electronics (heat, AC, lights, sunroof, seats, etc. work including passenger side headrest BUT driver's side headrest tries (you can hear it) but does not work. Custom starter button so turn key on then push button - starts immediately and runs great. My everyday car for past 4 years until February when this winter (SNOW) made me park and drive a 325xi - 4 good summers and 2 brand new snows (bought snows in December and then parked it) Brand new clutch, new alternator, odometer stopped in November @ 222,000 miles so probably 225,000 or 226,000 Please contact me with any questions - I LOVE This car but have 5 BMWs and 3 driver so 2 cars must go (also have 2002 325xi listed)... Thanks for bidding and good luck! |

Behind the scenes of BMW's 'Driftmob' [w/videos]
Tue, 26 Aug 2014
All this, for one minute and 47 seconds of action-packed footage with no official plot.
We arrive in Cape Town, South Africa, on the third and final practice day for the drivers of a BMWStories internet video called The Epic Driftmob feat. BMW M235i. We are immediately whisked to a large, empty parking lot on the outskirts of Cape Town, where tires are squealing and chunks of rubber are flying as five red BMW M235i coupes churn up more smoke than a California wildfire. And the smell - it smells like heated metal, the kind of thing rev limiters are made for. Times five.
BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coup'e bows at Villa d'Este
Fri, 24 May 2013The first collaboration between BMW and Pininfarina is this blunt-force two-door called the BMW Pininfarini Gran Lusso Coupe revealed at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Said to be the "interpretation of a luxurious BMW Coupé as seen through the eyes of Pininfarina," once you get past all of the design-speak, you can focus on the full-bodied and keen-edged missile sitting on 21-inch wheels.
The long wheelbase makes for short overhangs. Up front, BMW's design language gets scraped across a whetstone, everything getting sharper, including the usually round cat's eye headlights that have gone dihedral. Under the hood is a V12, behind the twin-kidney grille in matte-sheen aluminium and high-gloss black. The same aluminum treatment also backs the taillights, the lenses designed to let air flow through them.
Inside is room for four, a cockpit canted toward the driver, Foglizzo leather in black and Tobacco Brown, 48,000-year-old kauri wood from New Zealand, deep pile carpet on the floors, a patterned virgin wool headliner and an "oblong aperture in the roof liner" set off by white LEDs.
BMW unleases new M4 as MotoGP safety car
Mon, 10 Mar 2014BMW has some considerable racing prowess to crow about, and draws on those credentials to create models like the new M4. But it's not about to rest on the laurels it's won at the end of innumerable races past and present. Mere months after the release of its latest performance coupe, BMW has already revealed a new M4 touring car for the DTM series, and has now unveiled its new M4 safety car for the MotoGP motorcycle championship.
Revealed on the BMW M Facebook page and set to debut at the front of the grid at the season opener in Qatar a couple weeks from now, the new M4 safety car is just the latest in a long string of official vehicles it has provided to the MotoGP series. Previous examples have included everything from the 1M Coupe to the M6 and the X6 M.
Like its predecessors, the M4 safety car features emergency lighting, special equipment and of course BMW's trademark white livery with red, navy and light blue stripes that, in this arrangement, give the new Williams Martini Racing livery a run for its money. Logos promote the BMW M Performance Parts you can buy to bring your own Bimmer up to spec, which on this car isn't likely have changed much from stock.
