Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer possibly the nicest 1989 BMW 635 CSiA available. 1989 was the Last E24 to ever grace our shores. There were 1012 built worldwide, and only 583 were sold in the USA. Production stopped in April 1989 with the last VIN being No.9289. Ours was built in March and is VIN no.9083. Very close to the end!!! The 1988 and 1989 models are the most sought after of all of the E24 coupes with their 4 place seating and dual A/C systems. They are also fitted with the sleeker "World" bumpers, and have the most horsepower with 220bhp@5700RPM. They are surely to increase in value, and are a fantastic opportunity to own a true piece of BMW history. Note the escalated values of E9's in the past few years!! E24's are definitely next !!! We were lucky enough to acquire this gorgeous 1989 635CSiA from a private collector with a scant 64,500 miles on the odometer. The Carfax report verifies this with many detailed entries. It is totally unmolested and original with perhaps one respray to correct the typical "hazing" that is quite common with this color! The paint is bright and shiny, with no signs of rust through, or repair. Even the original BMW sound system and power antenna are still present and working(which I find truly amazing)! Also, both power headrests still work! The problematic self leveling rear suspension has been replaced with standard Bilsteins, and the outdated(and extremely costly) TRX wheels and tires have been replaced(except the spare) with a set of General 215/60R15's that are about 80% with a DOT date of 4611. We have just performed a mechanical inspection/service on the gorgeous Coupe to include replacement of both front lower control arms, both front thrust arms, and all 6 hydraulic brake hoses. The A/C has been retrofitted and charged with R134A, and now blows cold. All power accessories are working correctly with the exception of the Cruise Control. The cap is missing from the drivers door lock cylinder, and the SRS light is on(probably a sensor, or seatbelt buckle), and the light in the OBC is burned out. It now runs and drives like a dream, the way that I remember these cars from back in the day!!! Nice and straight with no shakes or vibrations. Very tight and smooth. BMW lovers everywhere get weak in the knees when one like this becomes available. An original unmolested E24 Coupe that was apparently treated like one of the family! Examples like this one are unheard of! Most have over 200 Thousand miles by now, and are still going strong. Lotus Esprit S1 gets wet and wild in 'Forza Horizon 4' James Bond trailer
Tue, Sep 18 2018It only makes sense. When the official trailer for Forza Horizon 4 ( FH4) first debuted at E3, details showed the game is set in Britain. Those who were ahead of the curve might have recognized this as a foreshadowing of sorts. Celebrating the launch of FH4's XBOX One and Windows 10 demo on Sept. 12, Playground Games announced that the next version of the beloved racing simulator will launch with an available Best of Bond pack that includes many of James Bond's storied rides. As expected, the list is heavy on the Aston Martin, but there are plenty of other goodies, too. Included in the 10-car pack are the 1964 Aston Martin DB5, a 1969 Aston Martin DBS, a 1986 Aston Martin V8, a 2008 Aston Martin DBS, a 2015 Aston Martin DB10, a 1974 AMC Hornet X Hatchback, a 1977 Lotus Esprit S1, a 1981 Citroen 2CV6, a 1999 BMW Z8, and a 2010 Jaguar C-X75. If you can name every movie that all of these vehicles are from, pat yourself on the back and grab a martini. View 15 Photos Microsoft is rewarding those who are all-in on FH4. The Best of Bond pack will come with the Ultimate Edition of the game that is allowed an early play date, starting Sept. 28. For those who haven't fully committed, the Best of Bond pack will be available as an add-on for purchase when the game launches globally on Oct. 2. The action-packed trailer shows many of the vehicles transforming or busting out tricks they're known for from the films, including the Lotus emerging from the sea. Although players will not be able to drive any vehicles under water (that we know of), several of the gadgets will make it into the game and will be viewable during Forzavista mode. The '64 DB5 has many of its features, such as the bumper rams and revolving license plate, while the Lotus will have an available body kit, fins and all. The Bond pack also comes with a few features irrelevant to the cars, including two Bond outfits and six "quick chat" phrases that can be used during multiplayer. The pack adds to an already impressive catalogue of vehicles that includes more than 450 different rides. Available now to pre-order, the FH4 Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99, the Deluxe Edition is $79.99, while the base game is $59.99. For those who love Bond but don't own a gaming system, don't forget about the recently announced DB5 Lego kit.
BMW sold 2.49 million BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles in 2018
Tue, Jan 8 2019FRANKFURT — German carmaker BMW on Tuesday said it achieved record sales of 2.49 million BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles last year. "BMW Group achieved record sales in 2018. 2.49 million vehicles mean the BMW Group is the world's leading premium automotive company for the 15th year running," Chief Executive Harald Krueger said. In 2017, BMW Group sold 2.46 million vehicles. Daimler has not yet released annual sales figures for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, so it remains unclear whether BMW brand overtook Mercedes-Benz in terms of sales in 2018. Sales of BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce cars were higher than Mercedes-Benz in 2017.
BMW 6 Series Convertible gets a little work done for 2015
Sat, 02 Aug 2014Truth be told, I've never really found the modern BMW 6 Series to be a particularly attractive car, in Coupe, Convertible, or sedan Gran Coupe forms. This current generation certainly looks a whole lot better than the Bangle-fied Six that came before it to my eyes, but on the whole, I find much of the car's design to be fussy and awkward. There's a new 6 Series on the way, scheduled to arrive sometime in 2017 or 2018, but to hold us over until then, BMW is freshening its current range, as evidenced by this convertible prototype our trusty spies recently caught testing.
Will the changes to the current 6 Series be an improvement? Perhaps. Up front, there are restyled headlamps and a new front bumper, and at the rear, BMW has redesigned the LED taillamps to bring them more in line with the rest of the company's offerings. Aside from those modest tweaks, we don't expect much more to change on the Big Six - the interior will likely carry over with some minor tweaks (or new colors), and it's possible the powertrains could be massaged gently for gains in either power, efficiency, or both.
Whether you think this new look is pretty or not, this freshened 6 Series will likely debut sometime next year, while BMW's engineers and designers craft the all-new version. See it from several angles in our gallery, above.
