This mint conditioned and always garaged 2006 BMW 650i is painted in BLACK SAPPHIRE METALLIC paint with a gorgeous black leather interior. I am the second owner and I purchased it with 10,900 miles from a dealer. I am a private seller who has 2 cars so I only put on about 6000 miles a year. It was never driven in the snow and barely driven in the rain. There are no dings in the doors or fenders because I never parked next to another car within door swinging distance. The car is not coming from a dealer that picked it up at auction so I know everything about the car. It was always maintained exclusively by BMW and their internal records would substantiate. The car has custom rims but it also comes with the stock rims, no charge. It has an IPOD integration jack as well as Bluetooth, heated seats and steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, Tiptronic Transmission that can be driven in automatic or manually shifted. Xenon adaptive headlights that move left to right when you turn the steering wheel for outstanding visibility in the corners (Very Cool). I keep a car usually about 2-3 years at the most and have had this one for 5 years, because I just cannot find another car that handles like this one. It is the perfect combination of sport and luxury driving. 14 way power sport bucket seats. BMW iDrive System, dual zone climate control, Logic 7 AM/FM/CD (Premium Sound Package). The door sills are illuminated, voice activated or manual navigation with turn by turn directions. Rain sensing windshield wipers and front and rear parking sensors will keep you from tapping objects in the front or rear and a graphical display of the car and objects in proximity shows on the iDrive screen. Interior red LED ambient lighting puts a nice dim light in all the right spots. The car is truly amazing. 4 wheel ABS Brakes, front and side airbags/curtains, traction control with dynamic stability control. SPORT mode button turns this car into a rocket ship!! Way too many toys to list.
UPDATE.....Any mileage discrepancies from Autocheck or Carfax are incorrect because Nebraska DMV recorded the mileage of my trade-in as the mileage on this car. I purchased the car with 10,900 miles and drove it home to New York where it was logged in at my local BMW dealer. I have records to verify.

2016 BMW 435i ZHP Edition Coupe Quick Spin [w/video]
Fri, Sep 4 2015BMW will make a total of 100 ZHP 435i coupes for 2016. This is not one of them. Nope, it's their predecessor, what the company calls a "replica," based on a 2015 car. Think of it as Car Zero. Bimmer nerds (the ones who correct you if you call their car a "Beemer") will remember the ZHP package from the E46 3 Series. An internal option code that became insider lingo and a must-have for enthusiasts. They're still sought after today. Built from 2003 to 2006, the original ZHPs included a power boost (to 235 hp), a modified suspension, an M-Tech II body kit, and a unique shifter and shift knob. The new ZHP has a considerably longer list of equipment. It builds on a 435i coupe with the M Sport package and either a manual or automatic transmission. Additions begin with the new-for-2016 Track Handling package – 18" wheels, M Sport brakes, the Adaptive M Suspension, and Variable Sport Steering. To that BMW adds an M Performance limited-slip differential, M Performance exhaust, the M Performance Aerodynamics package, and the M Performance Engine Kit; horsepower goes from 300 to 335, torque jumps to 332 lb-ft for automatic cars or 317 on manuals. Yeah, it's a lot of stuff, but nothing you can't order on a car for yourself. So the process that let BMW make this replica so easily also contributes to a lack of specialness. All of the equipment is available either from the factory or through BMW's VIA personalization program. VIA components are spec'd at the time of ordering and then installed at port when the car lands in the US. BMW hasn't announced pricing yet, but we have a hunch a full-on ZHP will come in slightly lower than a car optioned a la carte (though we don't know, since BMW didn't tell us how much our car cost). The 4 Series we reviewed had all the ZHP equipment save the wheels and tires. All 2016 ZHPs will get v-spoke wheels finished in Orbit Grey and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires; the car we drove had a different 18-inch wheel design and Bridgestone Potenza S001 rubber. Driving Notes The 435i already has too much power. The M engine kit provides more of it. You may not be surprised to learn that we also enjoy chocolate-covered chocolate. Perhaps the saving grace of the questionable output bump, and the most transformative part of this package, is the mechanical limited-slip. Even without the grippier tires it's supposed to come with, the near-ZHP put it all to the ground smoothly and predictably.
BMW i3 misses top Euro safety rating [w/videos]
Wed, 27 Nov 2013The Euro NCAP just tested a recent batch of new cars including the 2014 BMW i3, and the EV Bimmer scored less-than-perfect results. Though not horrible, BMW's all-electric/range-extended i3 was given a four-star (out of five possible) crash rating due to concerns with front-occupant whiplash and side-impact protection.
Based on the crash results, the BMW provided suitable protection for occupants in the frontal, side barrier, pedestrian and child-seat tests, but the i3 was tripped up when it came to the more severe side pole test and the rear-impact test. The pole test showed protection to the chest of the test dummy was "weak," and the front seats only provided "marginal" protection against whiplash for front passengers. Scroll down to watch two videos released by the Euro NCAP of the i3 being tested.
BMW's Mini plant closes for 4 weeks for the Brexit that didn't happen
Mon, Apr 1 2019LONDON — BMW's Mini plant in Britain is closing for four weeks starting Monday in a move planned over a half year ago to help the company deal with any disruption resulting from Brexit, which has since been delayed. The German carmaker, which builds just over 15 percent of Britain's 1.5 million cars, moved its annual summertime shutdown to April to "minimize the risk of any possible short-term parts-supply disruption in the event of a no-deal Brexit." But Britain's departure from the EU has now been pushed back from March 29 until at least April 12 or potentially much later, scuppering the timing of major contingency plans for some carmakers. Shutdowns are organized far in advance so employee holidays can be scheduled and suppliers can adjust volumes, making them hard to move. "This is what our company and our workforce have planned for over many months, and it is fixed into our business planning," said a BMW spokesman. It represents the latest headache for Britain's once roaring car sector which had been on track for record production but since 2017 has posted sharp falls in sales, output and investment. The overwhelmingly foreign-owned industry has become increasingly incredulous as a stable and attractive investment environment descends into one of its deepest political crises, risking the free and frictionless trade the sector relies on. BMW's Rolls-Royce factory in Goodwood will close for two weeks whilst Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR) three car plants and engine facility and Honda's Swindon facility will also shut for a few days this month as part of Brexit contingencies. It has been a turbulent few months for the sector after Nissan canceled plans to build a new sport utility vehicle at its English Sunderland plant and Honda said it would shutter its plant in 2021 in the biggest blow to the sector for years. Toyota provided a rare boost when it announced plans to build cars for Suzuki at its English car plant. BMW, which is also closing its central English Hams Hall engine facility and Swindon press shop and sub-assembly site for four weeks, has said it could move some engine and Mini output out of Britain if there is not an orderly Brexit. Carmakers face a number of risks if there is a disorderly Brexit, including delays to the supply of ports and finished models, new customs bureaucracy, the need to recertify models and an up to 10 percent tariff on finished vehicles.
