There are NO dents or scratches on this car. A 33 year old car that had a new metal body put on this car by BMW (only because they could) A new metal body so it would have a perfect body and lines.  You could not buy this car and have the work that was done to it because it was done by the BMW PERFORMANCE CENTER in Greer, SC across from the BMW Manufacturing Plant.  They do work only for BMW Manufacturing and BMW world wide race cars are shipped here for repairs.  They took this car as a project car to help raise money for the American Red Cross by raffling off the car at the EURO AUTO FESTIVAL held each year during October on the property of BMW.  This is the car from the 2007 raffle.  An example is they used a BMW color that you would not be able to put on this model, but they did (Imola Red) with a faux Carbon Fiber paint job on the roof and front lower spoiler!

The following materials and work was done to the car for the raffle:

- All new body panels with the exception of the roof ($15,000 of materials)
- New stainless trim
- New Michelin Pilot Sport 18" high performance tires 235/40 ZR-18 (first issue at the time)
- New Custom Chrome BMW wheels /rims - "TSW Mondello Hyperblack" 18x8
- $3,000 in rims and tires
- New exhaust system
- Two OEM manual transmissions (one installed, one spare and included in this sale)
- New headliner and carpet
- Reconditioned and dyed leather seating
- New high performance Alpine CD/MP3 receiver and speakers
- Custom Faux Carbon Fiber roof and front spoiler
- New engine compartment hoses, belts, fluids, spark plugs
- New clutch and pressure plate
- New brake components and rotors

This car is sharp and everyone tuns their head to look as it drives by.  Certified appraisal done in 2009 valued at $25,000 but more than that is in this car.  Feel like a celebrity when driving this car, appraisal says "show condition."

$500 deposit due within 48 hours of winning bid, full payment due within 7 days of winning bid.  Car will not leave property until all money has been paid and cleared the bank.

2014 BMW 328d xDrive Sport Wagon

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

There's a running joke among auto writers that the perfect car would be a diesel-powered, rear-drive wagon with manual transmission and no power accessories whatsoever. It would only be available in brown and would somehow be as fun to drive as a Mazda MX-5 Miata. Makes total sense, right?
Realistically, no manufacturer is ever going to completely fulfill our wishes, no matter how much we beg, plead, kick and scream about our dream car that most of us would actually never buy. The best we can do is hope for a vehicle that mixes some aspects of this ideal journalist's car. And in today's world, that vehicle just might be the BMW 328d xDrive Sport Wagon.
No, it's not available with a manual gearbox, and power can only be sent through an xDrive all-wheel-drive system. It's also not available in brown (although both Mojave Metallic and Sparkling Bronze Metallic are acceptable stand-ins), but it ticks the two main boxes of being a diesel-powered wagon, one of only a couple such models in the United States.

2014 BMW 6 Series M Sport family to start from $80,625*

Fri, 17 May 2013

BMW shoppers looking for sportier and more luxurious versions of the 6 Series and 6 Series Gran Coupe without stepping up to the mighty M6 now have something new to check out. Offered on all versions of the 640i and 650i for the 2014 model year, the company's M Sport Edition package goes on sale in June with prices starting at $80,625 for the 640i Coupe, $83,325 for the 640i Gran Coupe and $87,925 for the 640i Convertible (*all prices including $925 for destination).
This package will allow standard 6 Series models to receive M6 styling cues like the more aggressive, aero-tuned front fascia, 19-inch wheels and even the option of the M6-exclusive Sakhir Orange metallic hue shown above. Matching the M6-like exterior, the interior will also be upgraded with an M-specific steering wheel, M badges on the door sill plates and the option of BMW Individual leather with a unique white and orange color scheme. With price increases of well over $5,000 for the M Sport Edition, this package also includes plenty of standard features like the company's Professional hi-fi audio system, head-up display, ConnectedDrive Navigation and - wait for it - a ski bag.

2015 BMW M3 Sedan

Tue, 20 May 2014

BMW's all-new M3 Sedan is dynamically nearly identical to its two-door M4 Coupe sibling: a stopwatch reveals that both are sub-four-second cars to 60 miles per hour, a racetrack proves that the mechanical twins are equally as adept on a road course and a full afternoon of driving on public roads demonstrates that each possesses talented everyday adaptability.
Yet after driving both BMW models back-to-back over two full days in Portugal, it's clear there are a few noticeable differences, both objective and subjective, that don't require instrument testing to reveal. All it takes is a few hours behind the wheel of both cars to conclude that one is slightly more agile, and the other a bit more twitchy. One has better outward visibility, while its counterpart is unquestionably more convenient.
It is the little things - subtleties attained through seat-of-the-pants observations - that eventually allow me to choose a favorite.
