Brief

If your looking at this car, I will assume you know what it is and the value so I won't copy and paste the history or the rarity and collectability of it. This particular car has to be one of the very best examples of the the Euro M6 to date, completely original and a one family owner car since purchase in 1985. This is the only one I have seen with the natural water buffalo interior. This grey market bmw m6 has all german readouts on the dash. The car runs and drives perfectly, always maintained and Sunday driven to keep it in running condition. This is not a beat up M6 with high milage and left out side to die. This is a one family owned car always preserved and garaged.

History

This car was purchased new in 1985 by my Father somewhere in the NE, and driven to Florida in 1985 I was sixteen at the time and dreamed about someday driving this beast but my Father would never let me drive it. Good decision on his part, a kid should not be behind the wheel of this beast of a car.

I bought my own m6 in 2001 a 1988 but rest assured its not the same car as the euro version now that I have driven both. Take a look at the pictures and ask any PERTINENT questions about the car. Its not a desperate sale but we believe this to be such a good example that it should be shared for the right price. If it does not sell I will be happy to leave it in the garage for another day to sell.

NOTE: The odometer stopped working sometime in the early nineties I remember as a kid. My father did not drive the car much except to keep it running and everything working. I would have to estimate the actual mileage because of this. I would have to guess between 30K and 40k miles. I am not sure if it can be verified through the computer if any one knows I would be interested. Anyone is welcome to perform any test to determine actual miles.

Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, Ford, Mazda, and Honda have already announced recalls due to this expansion. Related Video: BMW statement BMW has notified NHTSA of its intention to recall approximately 840,000 cars and Sports Activity Vehicles equipped with Takata PSDI-5 driver-side front air bags to have the driver-side front airbag replaced. BMW reminds us what made the original M3 so great

Mon, Dec 21 2015

Just because many are slavering for the global debut of the 2016 BMW M2 at the Detroit Motor Show doesn't mean BMW will let us forget the coupe that gave the letter "M" its global moxie: the M3. The Roundel has posted the first in a five-part series devoted to that seminal M, the 1987-1991 E30. Built as a homologation requirement for the race car BMW needed to beat Mercedes 190E 2.3/16V in the German Touring Car Championship, it was 1.5 times more expensive than the 325i of the time and company sales heads had doubts about being able to sell all 5,000 of them. As we know, that story had a happy ending. The first models came with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder with 195 horsepower, a chopped and tuned combination of the four-cylinder M10 block first used in 1962 and in Formula 1, with a cylinder head from the six-cylinder M88 that did duty in the M1. By the time the M3 Sport Evolution models marked the end of the first-gen production run, displacement had risen to 2.5 literz and output to 238 hp, but more important than those numbers were the phenomenal handling and relentless race victories. You should definitely check out the video above for BMW's peek into the backstory of the fourth M car after the M1, M535i, M635 CSi, and M5, and arguably most important. But if your M-centric tastebuds prefer a more modern take on the German brand's most driver-friendly vehicles, take a look at the videos below. Related Video:
